Your pov

It was another peaceful day at the fields. You walked around, feeling the wind pass through your hair. You walked to the tree of feelings, seeing people crowd the side that Dream is guarding. You only saw little to no people at nightmare's side. You sighed. You feel bad for him. Almost every people in the neighborhood doesn't like him. He gets bullied and was always glared at. You didn't like the way that they acted towards him. He was only a child! He's also trying to do what he was supposed to do! Why blame him? You walked over to his side. You saw him reading a book. The apples looks so beautiful. It was black but had slight galaxy colour while dream's apples are just plain gold. It shone in the sun's rays while nightmare's was darkened by the shadows. Suddenly, paper balls were thrown to nightmare. He doesn't look up, seemingly busy with his book. You never knew that he was that interested in books. Another paper ball was thrown at him. His pin pricks rose w bit from the book he was reading. You looked that direction and saw some boys there, laughing. His gaze softened a bit, sad. You wanted to comfort him but you aren't allowed to go THAT close. The boys laughed at him and threw some stuff at him. Nightmare shielded his had with the book. You finally had enough and walked over to the group of boys. "Hey! Stop it!" They looked at you. They looked scared for a moment before running away. You scoffed and turned towards noghtmare. He was looking at you. He smiled big and gave you a thankful look. You smiled back at him. He put his book down as you walked towards him. "Thank you Miss." You smiled and pat his head. "It's no problem. Were you always getting bullied like that?" You said, concern in your voice. He looked down and nodded. You gasped. "That is just awful!"  You felt really bad for nightmare. And he was just a child too! You sighed and smiled at him. "Hey nightmare?" He looked at you. "I will promise you something." He smiles. "I will go here everyday and protect you from those bullies. I won't also won't leave you. I promise..." He smiled and hugged you. "Thank you Miss.... Umm.." "oh! I'm sorry. Where are my manners? My name is (y/n)." He smiled. "I guess you already know my name right miss (y/n)?" You shook your head and blushed a bit. "Just call me (y/n). No misses or anything formal." He chuckled. "Okay!"

You both talked for a while but you had to go. He was sad but he waved goodbye to you. You waved back and went back home.

Nightmare's pov

I waved back to (y/n), smiling. She was really nice. Then my brother, dream walked to me. "Hey nightmare! I see that you have made a new friend!" I nodded and blushed a little. "She's really nice.... And pretty...." I mumbled the elastic part. Good thing he didn't hear it. "Yeah, she was really nice. She defended you from those bullies! She was tough!" I chuckled. "She sure is." Dream went back to his side of the tree and sat down. I got my book and proceeded to read it.

No one's pov

You had spent a few days with Nightmare. You also hung out with his brother, dream. He was sweet and positive. You all played with each other. It was really fun. You read books with nightmare while dream made you flower crowns. It was a fun little relationship. You were also there on their birthday and you defended nightmare because of those bullies. You three were all really happy and you kept your promise to nightmare but, we all know that I promise is a strong word right? Promises are supposed to be kept or broken. Many people's relationships are broken because of promises. But what can happen with this relationship?

Your pov

You sighed. You were leaving. You had applied to a job but it was far. It means that you need to leave this place. You didn't want to leave the brothers behind but, you are running out of money and you were can't pay the rent of this house for much longer. That was the only job you can get. You packed your things and went outside. The bus won't arrive until a few minutes so you went to the tree of feelings. There sat the brothers, nightmare and dream. It was really early so they were asleep and nobody is surrounding the tree. Tears escaped from your eyes. You hoped nightmare will be safe. You wrote a note and put it next to nightmare. You sighed and kissed his forehead. You caressed his skull and stood up. You left and did the same with dream. You were leaving for a long time. You just hoped that they can be safe, especially nightmare. He was your favourite out of the two but it doesn't mean that you didn't like dream. You sighed and walked away, sad that you need to leave. You went back to the house and you saw the bus was arriving. You got your bags and you didn't really need to her a coat since you already have one on you. You were waiting for the bus but you got tackled. You looked and saw nightmare. He was crying. "(Y/n), are you leaving?" You nodded sadly as he cried. The bus was getting closer. "P-please don't leave. Don't leave me here.... Y-you promised that you won't leave.... Right?" You nodded while tears stream down your face. "I-i'm sorry Nightmare.... But I have to. I can't really stay here. I have to go." Nightmare clung to you as you caressed his skull. "Y-you will go b-back right?" You were unsure if you CAN go back. "I don't really know but I will try." You got him off you as the bus got there. You grabbed your stuff and went in the bus. You glared at nightmare and he waved. You also waved goodbye as the bus doors closed. You sat down on one of the seats and looked at nightmare in the window. He was crying. The bus went off. You wiped your tears as you got a locket. You opened it and it shows a picture of you and the brothers together, smiling. You smiled as you remembered the memory.

Flashback

Laughter was heard. "Aaaah! A monster! Oh who will save me?" You said, roleplaying as the princess. Nightmare stomped and acted as the mosnter. "Rawr! I am the monster and I am going to kill this princess!" You screamed playfully as he was going to 'bite you're but dream 'stabbed him'. The cardboard sword was on his arm pit as he collapsed to his knees and held his chest. "I am here princess! I will save you as the wonderful knight!" He posed dramatically for a bit before hugging you. You chuckled and kissed his skull. You also went over to nightmare. "I believe that also the monster wants a kiss." You smiled and kissed nightmare's skull. He blushed a bit. You bent down to their level and pulled the two into a hug as you brought out your phone. "Smile!" You said as you smiled and took the picture.

Flashback end

Nightmare's pov

She left... She promised me that she won't.... She broke the promise.... Am I really that 'useless'? I wiped my tears and looked to the tree of feelings. I saw dream was hanging out with many people on his side of his tree and getting pictures. I ran and went to my side. I slid down the trunk and tried to stop the tears. I then saw a note beside me. I picked it up and read it.

Dear nightmare and dream,

I'm sorry but I am leaving. I have to go and move houses. Since I can't pay the rent and the available job is too far to reach, I need to move closer to it. I'm really, really sorry. By the time you both read this, I had already left. Be safe you two and I'm sorry for breaking the promise Nightmare.

cried. She just left. Dream went over to me. "Brother? Are you okay?" I tried to stop my tears but I can't, like earlier. I just handed him the note. He read it and his eyesockets widened, tears were in it. "S-she-....?" He can't even finish the sentence but I knew what he meant. I nodded as he cried. He hugged me as I hugged back. The people were concerned and went towards us. They asked dream questions but they just ignored me. Why? Is he always the better one? Are my apples really that bad? Dream reassured them and wiped his tears. They calmed down. Dream let go of the hug and went back to his side. I sighed shakily and went back to my side. Then, I saw shadows approaching. I saw the bullies. "Aww... Little skeleton crying because he lost his momma? We feel so bad for you... NOT!" they kicked me and punched me and called me names. Am I really those stuff? Dream then went to my side. "Hey! Stop! Don't hurt my brother!" The people turned and glared at the bullies. They ran away. Dream checked if I was okay. He was the only one that the people notice. If I was dead and he didn't notice me, nobody will be worried. Is it because of the apples? I will prove that mine is just as good tonight.

Night time came and it was our bed time but I didn't go to sleep. I went to dream's side and shakily took one apple. It shimmered in the moonlight but it turned dark as one of my phalanges touched it. I cried as I trembled. "Mine is just as good, right?" I ate the apple and ate nother, then another, until there was only one left. I went to my side and grabbed all the apples. I ate one. I felt pain but I ignored it. I must prove that mine is just as good. I ate more and more and more. What is this pain that I am feeling? Suddenly, I vomited black stuff. I looked at my hands and they were turning black. What was happening? I felt pain in my back. It grew tentacles. It hurts so much.... My body was turning black... Suddenly, darkness covered my body.... I was fully black. My other eye was covered while the other was not. I suddenly felt... Rage.... I felt so much stronger. I didnt need anyone. Not dream, not (y/n). Dream out and saw me. He cried and trembled. "W-what happened to you brother?" I chuckled. "What? Surprised to see your brother like this?" I laughed as I got my tentacles and summoned bones. I started attacking dream. He bled out. He then went up and grabbed the remaining golden apple. He ate it. He paused but then summoned a bow. He aimed an arrow at me. "I won't let you be like this nightmare. This isn't you. Your my brother. Please... Just-" I hissed. "Shut up! I don't need you! I don't need that pathetic (y/n)! I don't need anyone!" I then cut the tree. Dream was shocked. I laughed as I held him up with one of my tentacles. "Look at you, so miserable and bruised. Now you know what it feels like to be alone..." I smashed him down the ground. "To be ignored." I shot a bone at him and it cut his cheek. "And to be FORGOTTEN!" I attacked him but he dodged and got out of my small tentacle's grasp. He shot arrows and bones at my direction but I dodged. "Tch. I don't need to be here." I held my hand up and summoned a portal. Dream was on the ground, shaking. "Aww... Are you hurt? Well, I'm not gonna help you." I walked in the portal that led to a new AU. Soon, I will get my revenge on (y/n). She betrayed me and left me alone. She just made up an excuse. I'll show her. My smirk widened as I closed the portal and walked around.

3 years later...

Your pov

You finished your job. You finally got a vacation! You were so happy! You get to visit dream and nightmare! You hoped that they were safe and that they remember you. You were pretty sure that they were 10 years old now. You were so happy! Your boss was kind enough to give you 1 year of vacation after you working non-stop for 3 years. You got off of the bus and thanked the driver. You put your stuff in your old house, well, some of it. You dressed up in different clothing then you opened the door. You looked inside your locket. The picture was still there. You smiled and wiped the happy tears off of your eyes. You then ran to the tree. "Nightmare! Dream!" You called out but as you got there, you froze. The tree was cut and only a stump was left. The brothers were nowhere to be seen. "N-nightmare? Dream?" You said, barely even hearing it. You walked towards the tree and saw black goop, nightmare's favourite book that was torn up and a torn up piece of dream's cape. No.... You shouldn't have left. Now they are gone. You cried. You called out to them. "Nightmare! Dream! This isn't funny! Get out wherever you are!" You heard nothing but the chirping of birds and the cricketing of the crickets. You wiped your tears. You called out to them again and again and again...

But Nobody Came . . .

You cried as you dropped to your knees. They are gone. You just can't believe it. Your tears made contact with the grassy ground as it slid down your cheeks. No... No! You can't just give up and weep, you have to find them! They were like your adoptive children and you will go way past your limit to know that they are safe and alive.

You are filled with DETERMINATION, HOPE and BRAVERY...

DETERMINED enough to find them and HOPEFUL enough to believe that you are BRAVE enough to face everything to find them.

You stood up, your soul with your new found feelings. You clutched your locket tight and let go. You were shoked that a transparent (s/c) ball had appeared on your hand. It then formed into a wooden staff. It looked like twigs were surrounding it and random crystal pieces were sticking out. You tried it out. You held it correctly and swiped it down. It formed a portal. You stepped inside, curiosity making their way through you. You stepped in as the portal closed. You were in a void. The soft yellow at the top fades into an even softer and more faint yellow at the floor. The void was full of papers with drawings. You walked towards one as your eyes widened. N-n.... No.... It's not nightmare. It's another small skeleton with big raven wings and yellow goggles, flying through the air. The pictures are moving, somehow. You looked at another one. It was another small skeleton. They had a cloak that had some sort of symbol on it. They were guiding a human through some sort of ruins. You smiled and let go of the paper. Suddenly, pink paint splatters on you. "What the-?" You didn't get to finish as they turned to chains and it chained you to an invisible wall. You struggled and tried to get out. You then got your foot to try and get your satff that had fallen next to you but it was surrounded with bones. You were then tackled and something was pointed to your chest. You saw yet another small skeleton. What was the deal with these skeletons? They look like children too. You can't see the face of this one since they were too close and a shadow was casted over their face. You noticed a bone. You noticed something with this bone though. It had a golden aura. Wait... A golden aura...?

Flashback

"C'mon dream! Concentrate! You can summon one!" You said as dream concentrated on summoning their attack. You were teaching them this for self defense. Even though you don't really have magic, you can still teach them. Dream then summoned a bone with golden aura around it. He sent it at the dummy and it was pierced through it's chest. It then disappeared after a few seconds. "(Y-y/n)! I did it!" He said. You smiled and clapped. Nightmare joined and smiled. "Good job dream! Your turn mightmare!" He nodded and concentrated. He summoned 3 bones and shot it at the dummy. It had one on it's head, chest and lower part. You were shocked. He was much quicker  than dream in summoning an attack and can summon one easily too! You clapped with dream as nightmare blushed and just went to you and hid his face on the lower part of your pants in embarrassment. You chuckled. "You did better than expected nightmare but..." You turned to dream and he joined in the hug. "You guys can be more stronger so if you are in trouble and I'm not there, you can defend yourselves without me!" They nodded. "T-thank you (y/n)!" Nightmare said, nuzzling your leg a little. "Thank you too (y/n)!" Dream said as he looked up at you. You smiled and kneeled down, properly hugging them.

Flashback end

Tears streamed down your cheeks as you remembered. You miss them so much. "Who are you? What do you want human?" That voice is just so familiar. It sounds like dream's. You stopped crying and glared at the small skeleton in front of you. "None of your business! Now get these chains off of me! I'm trying to find someone!" The bone was pressed more onto your chest as the skeleton hissed. " Are you one of nightmare's little soldiers?" You grew angrier. How did they know nightmare? What have they done to him? You growled and kicked the skeleton, causing them to get off. "How do you know nightmare? What did you do to the him and dream?!?" You screamed, trying to get the chains off. The skeleton froze. You saw two more skeletons. One had a Arty attire while the other one had some kind of costume with a blue bandana. They both look like kids. The one with the blue bandana was helping the other skeleton you kicked while the Arty one stomped in front of you. "How could you hurt dream like that!" They were angry. How did they know about dream? The other one you had kicked coughed. They had a blue shirt with a yellow cape with a sun symbol. Wait... You know dream has that symbol on his cape. "D-dream...?" You were shocked. He looked up at you and gasped. "(Y-y/n)?" He was crying as he clutched his ribs. You gasped and as your motherly instincts came in. You pulled so hard at the chains that it broke. You didn't care that the other two skeletons was trying not stop you as you ran and hugged dream, kneeling down to his height quickly with the speed you thought that you didn't had. "I-i'm sorry!" You said as he hugged back and cried. The other two were shocked and decided to give you your moment. "(Y-y/n)! I-i can't believe that you are back! I-i... Miss you..." You shushed him and rubbed his skull. "I miss you too. I thought that you were dead." You kissed his skull and let go of the hug, still kneeling down to face him. He wiped his tears away. The others walked to you. Dream then gasped. "Oh (y/n)! You didn't really met these two right?" You nodded. Dream smiled. He pointed to the Arty one. "That one is ink, the leader of our group, the star sanses!" He said with so much pride. You smiled. That's such a cute name. Ink rubbed the back of his neck. "Sorry for yelling at you earlier miss." You smiled. "It's okay and please just call me (y/n)." He nodded and dream pointed to the other one. "That is blueberry! He is from the underswap AU and he is another member of the star sanses!" You were trying to hold your decision of just squishing his cheeks. He is just so cuuuute! He walked over to you. "HELLO HUMAN! MY NAME IS THE MAGNIFICENT SANS! YOU CAN CALL ME BLUEBERRY OR BLUE! WHICHEVER YOU PREFER! MWEH HEH HEH!" OMG.... He's too cute! That laugh too! Even though he is loud, he's just too cute! You hugged him. "YOUR SO CUUTE!" you squealed and separated from the hug. He smiled and did his signature laugh. The bones trapping your staff disappeared. You noticed and quickly grabbed it. "What is that (y/n)?" You heard dream asking. "It's a staff! I had somehow summoned it when I was trying to find you!" You said. Then, you saw a bit of a red spot on his shirt. You gasped. "D-dream! I-i'm sorry!" You put his shirt up to see a bruise that was bleeding a little. "I'm sorry! Does it hurt? Oh of course it does! Ah geez, I'm such an idiot! I-i'll try and heal you!" You quickly get your sling bag that you always had with you. It has healing supplies. You brought this everywhere at anytime because you knew that someone will get injured. You got disinfectant and put it on a cotton. You dabbed it on dream's bruise. He hissed a little. "Don't worry, the pain won't last long." You got a band-aid, since it was only small and you were too worried over small things, and put it there. You were done as you put the supplies back in your sling bag. Dream put his shirt down again and smiled at you. "Thank you (y/n)!" You smiled and chuckled. "Anything for you dream!" You felt eyes of anger and jealousy burn holes in your head but you ignored it. "Anyways, how old are you now dream?" He gasped as his face lit up. "Today is actually my brithday today! Ohh I'm so glad that you got to come!" He smiled brightly. "Happy brithday dream! Though, I'm sorry that I didn't bring any gifts for you." You said sadly. "It's okay! The best gift I had ever gotten I'd right in front of me!" He said as he hugged you. You, blueberry and ink awed and hugged back. "Your so sweet dream!" You said and separated from the hug. You felt like you were forgetting something.... Ah wait! WHY DID YOU FORGET ABOUT YOUR FAVOURITE CHILD, NIGHTMARE?!? WHERE WAS HE?!? " H-hey dream?" He hummed. "Where is nightmare?" He froze. The other two froze as well. "U-ummm... W-well (y/n), you see.... He-" "HE TURNED EVIL BECAUSE HE ATE ALL THE BLACK APPLES IN DREAM AND HIS TREE. HE GREW TENTACLES AND WAS COVERED WITH BLACK STUFF." now it's your turn to freeze when blueberry cut dream off. He... He turned.... Evil? "H-he...." Dream sighed sadly. "Yes (y/n), he did. Just ask dream to know the full story. He didn't really explain much detail about it." Dream had tears on his eyes. You were shocked. "Hey hey! It's alright if you dont-" "n-no.... You deserve to know the full story..." He then told you while you and the other two sanses listened closely.

"O-oh.... H-he...." You were crying. You can't even speak properly. Ink, blue and dream awere hugging you, trying to comfort you. You hugged back, sad. How can he be like that? Is it your fault for leaving him? Leaving him with the bullies? Making him deal with it alone with his brother? You wiped your tears and stopped crying. You stood up and grabbed your staff. "We need to find him." They stopped you. "No! (Y/n)! It's too dangerous! We had already tried countless times but, they always ended up beating us." Dream said. "There's no harm in doing it again right?" You smiled, hope flashing through your eyes. They smiled. "I guess... But we need to form a plan. (Y/n), you have magic right?" You nodded at ink. "I think..." "Well, we can train you so you can be ready if something bad happens!" You nodded. "Sure!" Blueberry smiled and grabbed your hand. "YOU ARE GOUNG TO TRAIN WITH ME HUMAN (Y/N)!" He was just too cute and innocent.

After a few weeks of training, you finally got he hand of your magic. You can summon fireballs, do healing magic, summon shadows that will hide in everyone's shadow but they can attack at any time, summon shields/barriers and the last and the hardest to summon, you can summon clones of yourself that can attack the target. You can do 15 of them at a time. The three were impressed by your skills. Ink jumped on to you. "can you teach us that (y/n)?" Even though they seem mature, they are still kids and they have that side of them. "CAN YOU TEACH US TOO?!?" Dream and blueberry said. You chuckled "I don't know if you guys can do that though but just practice and don't give up. You can do it." They cheered and hugged you.

Nightmare's pov

(Y/n)'s back.... I-i.... I can't believe it..... No...... NO!!!! I CAN'T LET THESE EMOTIONS TAKE OVER ME!!! SHES JUST ANOTHER TRAITOR AND SHE JUST B-BRoke my.... Heart.... She just left... And when she came back, she didn't even worry about me... She just worried about dream....

Flashback

I went to Ink's void and saw the three of them. I saw.... Wait..... (Y-y/n)...? I-i can't believe it.... She... She came back... A-after..... I saw her talking to dream... "Anything for you dream for you Dream!" I then felt pain, anger..... Jealousy ... I glared at (y/n). Oh really now.... After all these years of me worrying about her she just comes in and replaces me with my brother?!? I stormed out in anger. I can't believe it! I opened a portal and went back to the castle. She will pay bigtime....

Flashback end...

She didn't care about me.... Remembering the moment made me more angry. How dare she? HOW DARE SHE REPLACE ME FOR THAT GOOD FOR NOTHING BROTHER?!? I got one of my tentacles and got a table. I threw it in rage. It hit dust's face. He didn't expect it so he got hit. Horror was laughing like crazy but I don't care... "Tell everyone to be ready for tomorrow. We're going to bring the star sanses down." I said, trying to stay calm. Horror nodded and carried an unconscious dust away. I walked away from the throne room and went to the room behind it. I opened it and went in. It closed. I made sure it was locked then I walked up to the grassy room. In the middle was a tree. It isn't the tree of feelings though. I walk towards it. It has dark green leaves, floating down to the ground ever so slowly. It's white trunk was bumpy but smooth. I made sure that no creature, even a worm nor an ant, had gotten here and ruined this tree. I finally got in front. Right there is a picture of me, (y/n) and dream. (Y/n) was in the middle, looking at me with a calm and gentle look while smiling. I was at her right, hugging her. Dream was on top of her, (y/n) giving him a piggyback ride. I remembered how she said that I was her favorite. LIES... All she ever said to me was lies. I got a red marker and crossed out their faces. They are going to pay tomorrow. For not caring, for not helping, for lying, for ignoring and for leaving me alone in the darkness. They pretended that they cared but they actually didn't. Tears streamed down my face as I looked to the side. It was my favourite teddy bear. (Y/n) gave it to me. It was a black bear with a moon symbol on it's forehead. I screamed out as I heard her say things in my mind.

I got my tentacle and sliced the bear's head in half as I stomped out of the peaceful garden. I don't know what I felt. Anger? Sadness? Jealousy? I don't even care right now. Everything that was in my past childhood are lies. In my present childhood, nobody has to lie to me. Nobody can tell me what to do. Nobody can leave me alone in the dust again. I sat on my throne as I just stared at the door while tears streamed down my cheeks. The doors opened and I saw error. "H3Y nighTmAr333e i- whAtttt Th3? WhAt hapPenEd to YouuU niGhTmarE¿ WhY aRe yooOooU cRyIng?" Error went over to me. I wiped my tears. "N-nothing error. Nothing you should be concerned about." He looked at me. "ArE yOu suRre-" "I SAID IT'S NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS!" I lifted him with my tentacle. He widened his eyesockets as tears went into them. I noticed what I'm doing and set him down gently. "I'm sorry. Just, leave me alone for now Kay?" He nodded, still concerned and teleported away. I sighed and put my skull on my hands. It's her fault. ALL.HER.FAULT.... she is the reason I'm mad. She is the reason I'm jealous... She is the reason I'm sad... She is the reason that I almost threw error on the wall. She is the reason for all of this! I slammed on of my hands down on the armrest of the throne, crying. S-she... Is the reason... T-that I'm... B-broken.....

The next day....

Your pov

You played with dream in the void. Blueberry was on your shoulders, laughing. Ink was beside you, drawing. He was quite good at it actually. That was pretty impressive for a kid. You sighed. You still missed nightmare. Even if he was evil, he was still your child you know? You can't just let him be but, you can't really find him. You opened portals and asked where he is but you can't seem to find him which is quite sad. You were really worried about him. You even asked dream,ink and blue about it but they just said that they didn't even know where he is. You sighed again. Dream was about to say something but a portal opened. You heard a few glitching noises, a few iron stuff that was getting dragged and footsteps. You all turned your attention and saw.... A skeleton with black goop...? Wait.... That was what dream said when he explained about.... "Nightmare!" Dream yelled as he got into a fighting stance. There was a few more murderous and non murderous skeletons behind nightmare, all of them being little children. How can children even handle this? Your eyes were still on nightmare. "N-nightmare.... I-i.... I m-" "LIES!" He yelled, really furious. He looked threatening even though he was a little more shorter than you. You were taken aback. He wasn't that angry when you hung out with him. "Nightmare.... What has gotten into you?" You asked. There was three murderous skeletons behind nightmare, twitching and just staring at you but you were too focused on nightmare. He smirked. " What has gotten into me? Heheheh.... " He chuckled then it came out as a full in maniacal laugh. You and the star sanses were scared. "It was all YOUR fault! You had left me alone in the dark. You promised to not leave me. To defend me from the bullies but, you decided to break it and made me go insane in my little dark corner. And don't think my brother helped me too! He was just like you! Telling lies... Only to get popular... I shouldn't have been like this if it wasn't for the both of you!" Dream had tears on his sockets. "B-but... Brother... Ink,blue and you gasped and tried to get him back. "Your just so pathetic." He then attacked dream. You were shocked. Nightmare would NEVER do that. "Nightmare stop! Your hurting him!" He chuckled. "What? You also want to?" He also lifted you up. "(Y/n)!" Dream was chocking. You tried to reach for him but he was too far. You didn't know that a kid can raise you up so far into the air that you can't even reach the ground even for a milisecond. He laughed as he squeezed the both of you. Then Ink and blueberry tried to save you but was attacked by the other skeletons. You don't really want to heut Nightmare. You can't! He was your child. You focused on your magic. You are feeling a lot today. The more hope you feel, the more magic you get. You were full of Hope, knowing that you can save Nightmare. You summoned clones
They tackled nightmare. He let go of the both of you. You caught dream. He was catching his breath, seeing that he was literally turning purple earlier. You got him to the corner and put a shield around him. You made the two clones disappear. Nightmare stood up and glared at you. Two murderous looking skeletons was on his side. One had a crack on his skull and a red eye while the other has a hood and an insane expression on. They then went all out on you at the same time. The two kept on trying to slice you while nightmare fired bones and tentacles. It was fast and hard but you won't give up. You went left to right, jumping up and ducking down. You were getting quite the workout yet you still tried to confront him. "Nightmare! Please! Snap out of it! This is not you!" He simply ignored you and continued. "Please! Stop all of this! I-" you got cut off by tripping on a bone. You are sliced by knives and almost got stabbed by a sharp and a bloody looking bone but you rolled to the side. Then, nightmare came to you, pinning you with his tentacles. He glared at you yet you saw sadness,sympathy and guilt in his face. You smiled at him and closed your eyes, seeing and hearing the Nightmare you once you knew.  "Nightmare. Look, you can just kill me if it helps you. It'll be okay. Just remember that I love you and will always be by your side." You said. You heard ink, blue and dream's cry of help but they were pinned down by the others and you kept dream in a shield. There was something small hut sharp on your chest. You clutched your eyes, bracing yourself but it never came. You opened your eyes and you saw nightmare crying. The bone dissipated and he hugged you. "I-im sorry (y/n)! I shouldn't have tried to kill you! I justmiss you and you left me! I thought you only cared for dream!" You were shocked but you hugged back. "Nightmare, don't say that. You know that I love you both equally. I won't treat you guys unfairly and I won't leave you ever again. I will quit my job and just live with you and take care of you. I should be the one that's sorry. I just left you alone, knowing that it's only you and your brother and you had already gotten close me but I just went without any communication with you. I'm really, really sorry nightmare..." You carresed his skull as he sobbed on your shoulder. The others just let you both have your moment. Soon enough, nightmare calmed down. He fell asleep on you. You chuckled and stood up, carrying him. You let dream out of the shield as he rushed to you. You shushed him. "He's asleep. Don't make too much noise." Dream nodded. You smiled and carressed nightmare. He experienced a rough day. You looked at Ink and he teleported you and nightmare to his house in the middle of the void. You thanked him as he teleported back to the others. You opened the door and went in your room. You put nightmare down your bed and tucked him in. You kissed his forehead. You were about to leave but he clinged to you. He opened his eye socket. "Don't leave me... Please..." You smiled and grabbed a chair. He clung to you slightly as you sat down. He closed his eyesocket, smiling. You smiled your own smile and just watched him sleep, falling a sleep later on.
