Hello everyone. I know it's been a while, some of you guys probably forgot about this, but all I have to say is: Thank You! I can't believe the support I got, and I'm really grateful. But since it been a while I wrote, it may not be in the best of condition. So, if some parts don't make sense, or grammar mistakes, please tell me~
Hopefully I could update more frequently though.

I didn't know what to do. In front of me stood Chara. They used to be cute but a terrifying child, but now they are just a living nightmare. Their eyes melted, along with the mouth. Basically, their whole face melted. Blood spilled from everywhere. Chara's eyes started to glow red too.

Chara charged at me, and slashed the knife at me. I attempted to jump out of the way, but the knife still skinned me. They kept charging, and kept repeatedly stabbing without hesitation. Finally, the y stopped, giving me a turn.

I looked at my health. My health stood at 7, and I had cuts and bruises all over. I frantically went to my inventory and grabbed something to eat. I munched down on the object while Chara... no, that Thing, stalked me from a far.

"aR3 y0U DoN3 yEt?  It'S g3TtiNG B0riNG."

I finished my snack and quickly got back on my feet, getting ready to dodge. I nodded, ready to avoid at least some of their attacks. IT got up and held its knife in the air straight up.

"G0oD."

IT slashed the air in front of themselves, and a huge red wave came from it. I was caught off guard, but I leaped out of the way barely before it hit me. IT then raised its hand and knifes appeared all around me. IT pointed at me and knifes flew everywhere. I tried dodging from side to side, but the knives followed me like a tracker. Each knife were a different color too, orange and blue, making it difficult to move or to stay still. Finally, it stopped. I looked at my health again, and it was at 5. Welp, back to square one.

This kept going on for a while now, til I finished all my food. This was really bad, I lost half of my food only after a couple of attacks. I kept panting, gasping for breath, while IT gazed at me from a far, laying down.

"H3y, aRe y0U gOinG t0 gO or WhAt?" IT responded, looking bored. "if y0uR n0T gOiNG to d0 AnYth1ng, I'Ll haV3 tO f1NiSh tHis."

I gritted my teeth. I chose act, then I decided to talk, but when I opened my mouth, nothing came out. I tried again. And again.  Nothing. I stood still. I suddenly notice I was shaking.

"N0tH1nG? WoW, y0u R3alLy are A DisSap01nTm3nT" IT sighed and got up. IT held up its knife and got into a battle stance. "L3tS f1nIsh tHIs."

I said nothing. I couldn't even if I wanted too. I tried to move, but apparently I couldn't either. IT slowly walked toward me, oozing black and red liquid from its face, with bloodlust in its eyes. I was scared. I was sweating, and I felt something in my eyes. I didn't know what to do. I was stuck, and I failed everyone. IT, that thing would take over. I couldn't even sense Chara there anymore. It seemed like they were taken over. My friends... everyone... I'm sorry I failed you...

"ScAr3D? lO0k, y0u'r3 sHaKIng! Ha hA, that's H1lAri0Us!" IT slowly walked over to me. "d0N'T w0rRY, it'll a LL  B 3  0 v 3 R  s 0 o N . . ."

I silently looked down. I couldn't do anything to stop IT. I accepted my fate... til I heard a voice.

"...remember..."

Remember who? WHO am I even listening to?!

"... remember hi... stay determi..."

Stay Determined... It's right! I can't let my friends down. I tried my best to look on the positive side, even though there was none. But I kept hoping, dreaming something would happen. Suddenly, something clicked, and I remembered HIM. IT came closer, putting their knife at my soul.

"g 0 o D b Y 3 . . !" IT said, putting up a final messed up smile, laughing. " G A m 3  0 v 3 R . . ."

IT lunged the knife at my heart, but I quickly moved out of the way, grabbing something from that thing. IT lost its balance and almost fell forward from putting so much energy to the attack, but IT quickly got back on both feet.

I stood up, ready to move if IT attacks. I chose the option act once again and I chose Talk.

"Chara, you're in there somewhere! I know it." I yelled, gripping tightly on the object.

IT chuckled, sweating a bit. " WhAT aR3 y0u trY1nG t0 Do?"

" I want to SAVE you."

IT looked back at me with a blank face, then suddenly started to laugh.

"hAHaHAhahAHAHAH! r1gHT, YoU aLr3ady Kn0w Th3 rULe. 1tS kIlL 0r b3 K1LleD."

IT slashed their knife again, but I was able to dodge it. IT threw knifes at me, but I was able to dodge most of them. Unfortunately I was still skinned by a few, losing some health, which was now 4. When my turn arrived, I chose talk again.

"No, its not!" I replied, " Remember who you are!"

IT growled a bit. " WHat 1s tH3rE t0 N3ed To r3mEMbeR. FR1enDS, faM1ly? wHat A LaUgH!"

I noticed IT was a bit shakened. Now I knew I was going somewhere.

"Well, Let me give you a reminder!" I yelled, holding up the object I snatched. I held it in front of me, clearly visible to that thing. A golden heart shaped locket, shining throughout the darkness.

IT stumbled a bit, a little less ooze coming out.

"t-ThAt..."

IT shook its head, trying to forget. "N0, I don't Ne3d tO rEm3mber!"

"Yes you do! Remember, Chara, Your Best friend!"

It looked straight at me, face turning back normal.

"A-Asriel..."

Suddenly, IT came back and shook its head, black as oil and red ooze coming out, face melting once more.

"N0! h3's N0T! I-I D0n't N3eD Fri3ndS!"

IT slashed and rushed at me, sending all different sorts of attacks. I dodged, and dodged, but still, some hitting me.

"Wh0 n3eDS fR1eNDs?! I haV3 P0w3R, L0V3, aNd 3XP! B3siDes..." IT hesitated for a second,          At 0N3 p0iNT tH3y'LL BeTray yOu."

IT Kept going, and going. Finally IT backed up, tiredly. I took this opportunity to strike.

"Why do you say that? What happened between you guys?"

"... He B3trAyED M3... If Only h3 hAD L1sT3nEd... THIS WOULD OF NEVER HAD HAPPENED."

It felt like a touchy subject so I decided not to ask more.

" I'm sure he's sorry! You'll just have to forgive him!"

It hesitated, then it lunged at me. It tackled me down, and held the knife above me. I could tell it was about to lose it. Chara was shaking, some tears forming.

"I-1 cAn'T. AnD... He'll wont forgive me..."

Chara stabbed the knife at my soul, resulting it to break.

...

But it refused. I held onto my Hopes and Dreams. I want to save my friends. I want to save YOU.

My soul came back together, forcing Chara off me. Chara flew away dropping the knife in the process. They slammed to the ground, and slowly got up. their face turned back to normal, red eyes and rosy cheeks. Tears fell down their face. They brought their hands to their face, crying

I got up, health restored, along with my determination. I slowly walked over to Chara and chose an option.

S A V E

Chara POV

"...J-Just end me... Use m-my knife... W-who needs a mistake like me in the w-world... " I responded, hands over my eyes, sitting on the ground of the desolate void. All I have ever done was make trouble, so with me gone, another problem will disappear from this pitiful world. I glance at the knife next to me, and the person, Frisk in front of me.

I covered my eyes again. I could hear Frisk kneel down. Heh, he grabbed the knife didn't he? What a fitting end for a monster like me, being put down by my own weapon. I squeezed my eyes tight, bracing for impact- til I felt warm arms around me.

Huh/ I took my hands off my eyes and saw Frisk hugging me. I stopped crying for bit. Why... Why didn't you kill me?

"Why didn't you finish me off?" I asked.

"Because I didn't want to. Anyways, you can always fix your mistakes." Frisked replied. They let go of me.

I stared at the ground, not baring to look at them.

"B-but... no one can forgive me... Not even my best friend..."

"Of course they will, after all," They grabbed my hands and I looked at their face, "He's YOUR best friend for a reason!"

Frisk smiled , then handing me an object, then letting go once more. I looked at the palm of my hand. I was holding a golden locket; heart shaped, glistening in the darkness. I opened it up, revealing a song. A song I could never forget. HIS theme. Inside, there was also a picture. It was of two innocent children, a monster and a child. They were both holding golden flowers, laughing together. It was a picture of  HIM and I.  A s r i e l.

I smiled, but I felt something running down my cheek. a wet substance fell onto my clothes. Am I... Crying? I couldn't help it. I kept crying, and I couldn't tell if it was happiness or sadness. I rested my head on Frisk shoulder and kept crying. Heck, I could probably cry myself a river. Frisk pats me on the head, trying to comfort me.

Frisk POV
I tried to comfort Chara. I let them rest their head on my shoulder to cry. After my 6th attempt to stop Chara from crying, I looked up to see something. Something was shining in the darkness behind Chara. I squinted to see what it was. Behind them, was a fainted option: Reset.

"Well, wanna restart?"

They nodded. I have never pressed an option that fast in my multiple lives. I pressed the button, and everything around me turned white.

Another chance... Maybe I can see my friends again....

I woke up in a golden bed of flowers. I jumped up and I ran to the room.
Will he be back? I ran into the room, hoping to be greeting by the annoying grin on the jerk-

Only to be greeted by a Temmie.

I froze. Why isn't Flowey here..?

"You know it isn't going to be that easy."

I heard two voices behind me. I swiftly turned around; and I saw two Chara's behind me, slightly transparent.

"What the f-"
