Location: Somewhere between Edogawa and Waseda

While walking towards the station, I couldnt help but think about pastel palettes. Even though some of the members go to my school ive always known about them. 

The first time I heard about pastel palettes was when I first came back from Norway. While moving into my room, I noticed the TV was on in the living room. No one was watching so I decided to sit down and change the channel, when I did there was this vibrant colored Idol group that popped up on the TV. What caught my interest was when they were playing instruments which is something ive never seen before. Though it didnt last long because the music was waaaay to bubbly for taste.

The second time was on the TV again at Yamada Denki while I was shopping for electronics. Except this time they were on a talk show. 

Aya Maruyama was someone I remembered the most because she was the pinkest of them all. On top of that, looking at how she acted on TV, she looked as if she was trying really hard to be Idol-like. As for Chisato. I would always see posters of her around town for different shows. The shows she mainly played in were dramas which wasn't really my scene. The second girl I noticed was their drummer. She had this very awkward aura around her as if she wasn't meant to be an idol yet she tries to do so. 

And then the third time I met them was at  Galaxy during the live show. I met them backstage during the after party and they came to the live concert as part of the audience. 

Flashback 
Location: Galaxy

After that impromptu performance, and the announcements that the girls made, we all decided to have a small party in the backroom. The manager was kind enough to buy some soda and snacks for us to enjoy while we were all talking and enjoying each other's company. I was really tired so I ended up sitting on the couch in the back with Rimi and Hazawa. We then heard a knock on the door. 

Sayo: I wonder who it is? 

Hikawa opened the door and was suddenly tackled by another girl who looks like her but with shorter hair. 

???: ONEEE CHAAAAN! 

Sayo: Hina! What are you doing here?? 

Hina: Ehh?? What do you mean? I came to see you preform you were great! 

Sayo just blushed and looked away. 

Soon after, few girls followed in after her, which I recognized a few of them immediately because one of them goes to my school, and the rest ive seen on TV, if I recall, theyre known as pastel palettes. 

Kasumi: Aya-Senpai! 

Kasumi said as she waved at her. 

Aya: Kasumi chan! You guys were great!

Kasumi: Thank you! 

Eve: Hello Everyone! You guys were great out there! 

Kanon: Hey Chisato-chan 

Chisato: Kanon Chan! 

The blond haired girl said as she approached Matsubara.

Kaoru: Ahh well if it isnt Chisato chan! 

Said as she cut in between them. 

Kaoru: I see you've come here to my fleeting performance.

Looking at Shirasagi, she looks as if she was annoyed with kaoru. 

Chisato: Oh please, I came here to see Kanon not you. 

Kaoru: Ahh, and yet those words sting like a bee. 

She said all dramatically. 

I looked back at the door and I noticed a familar white haired girl. It was Eve, she was the girl who stood up to the captain. She greeted Shirokane and Uehara. 

Another girl I noticed was a brown haired girl with glasses. She looked a bit awkward but she managed to say high to everyone. She went ahead and miggled with Tomoe and Ako. 

Rimi: You okay Y/N-Kun? Youre awfully quite today. 

Y/N: Yeah I'm fine. Im just really tired, ive been up for a really long time. On too of that im still trying to process what just happened. 

Tsugumi: Yeah I was surpised by your guitar work. It was heavy but it was really amazing.

Y/N: Thanks, which reminds me, i didnt know you guys were friends with pastel palettes. 

Rimi: Yeah, some of the members go to our school. I didnt know you new them either Y/N-Kun. 

Y/N: I met them on TV, as for Eve I met her during one of the Kendo clubs practice. I knew I recognized her from somewhere but really couldnt pay attention when… 

Kasumi:...OH! Have you guys met Y/N-Kun yet? 

Kasumi yelled.

When I heard my name I couldnt help but look at kasumi. In doing so, the members of pastel Palettes looked at me.

Y/N: Hi! 

 i was too tired to get up and meet them, so I just waved and yelled. Aya, Eve, Maya and Hina approached me with Kasumi in tow. 

Maya: Hey its nice to meet you. 

I decided to stand up and introduce myself. Albeit, i'm tired but I didnt want to be rude. 

Y/N: Nice to meet you guys, my name is Y/N L/N, you have to forgive me, im a bit tired. Ive been up for a really long time and I had a really long day.

Eve: Ill say, which reminds me…

Eve then bowed in gratitude. The girls were really confused as to why she was bowing.

Eve: Thank you for saving me and Shimura chan today. 

Y/N:Hey, raise your head. Don't do that please…atleast not here..

Eve then raised her head and was confused as to why I stopped her.

Kasumi: What happened to Shimura chan? 

Aya: Oh no! I hope she didn't get hurt again.

Y/N: That's a story for another day. You'll probably hear about it soon but I'd rather not talk about it right now, besides were here to have fun. What happens in school stays at school.

Eve just nods and smiles, I'm honestly glad that she respected my wishes. 

Hina: Hmmmm…

I looked at Hina, she had her hand over chin. She looked as she was speculating on something in regards to Shimura. This kind of raised my awareness a bit.  

Y/N: You good? 

Hina: Oh it was nothing. I just had a crazy thought about the situation, is all ehehe.  

I couldn't help but keep my guard around her. Something about her tells me that there's more than meets the eye with her.

Y/N: Speaking of which, I haven't really gotten the chance to fully meet you yet. 

I said looking towards Eve while trying to stray away from the topic.

Eve: Oh right! I never told you, My name Is Eve Wakamiya, 

Y/N: And I'm Y/N L/N. It's nice to fully meet you. 

Eve: Same here. 

Looking at Eves appearance, I noticed she looked half European. I can tell by her eyes and her skin. She had a much more pale complexion than most Japanese girls. 

Y/N: And you. 

I said while turning towards the pink looking girl. 

Y/N: You're Aya Maruyama right?

Looking at her, she had stars in her eyes. She looked really excited at the fact that someone outside her circle recognized her. 

Aya: Hello! I'm the pink and fluffy Idol Maruyama aya! 

She said while pointing two finger guns at me. I guess this is her way of introducing herself as an idol. I find it kind of cute. 

Y/N: Ahahaha! Nice Idol Gimmick! Ahaha. 

Aya: Aha thank you. I try my best to be as much of an Idol as i can. 

I couldn't help but laugh really, I mean its cute but I also found it quite childish in a way.

Hina: And I'm Hina Hikawa, Sayos younger twin sister! And a very zappin guitarist. 

High energy, interesting speech, and a guitarist…Great, another Kasumi. 

Maya: Fuehehe my name is maya yamato and my name is a palindrome, 

Y/N: I can see that. 

I said bluntly. 

Y/N: But it's nice meeting you though. You're the drummer aren't you? 

Maya: That I am. How did you know?

Y/N: I saw you guys on TV before, you guys were performing a song at that time. Whenever bands start performing, the second thing I notice after the front man is the drummer. 

Out of nowhere a blonde haired girl came walking towards us and joined our
Little circle. 

Chisato: Oh there you here you guys were.

Maya: Oooh Chisato san! Weren't you just talking with kanon san earlier? 

Maya wondered.

Chisato: Yeah I was…but Kaoru wouldn't leave us alone so that's why I came looking for you guys. By the way, who is he? 

She said while looking at me with a curious look.

Eve: Oh he's a classmate of Mine this is Y/N L/N! 

Aya: Yeah and he's a fan of ours too!

I looked at aya with a "what the fuck did you just say" face when she said that. 

Chisato: Ehhhh…Oh well I guess you already know me by now But im Shirasagi Chisato. 

She said while giving me a smile. For some reason I got the impression that there was a second face behind that smile. I'm guessing that she is the type to avoid interactions with fans outside of work, which is understandable. 

Y/N: I can't say that I'm a fan really, no offense to you or anything Maruyama, but Idol music is something I'm not that into… 

I said honestly. 

Aya: So does this mean you don't like us? 

Aya said as tears started to form from her eyes. At any moment it looks like she's about to burst into tears. 

Hina: Oop! Looks like we're about to see a water show! 

Jesus! Can you be more considerate!? I thought.

Chisato: Aya Chan! I don't think that's what he was trying to say at all. 

Y/N: Yeah she's right, I only saw you guys on Tv like twice. This doesn't mean that I dislike you or you guys, I just don't know you guys well enough and your music isn't really my cup of tea. Though, I will say, you guys are the first idol band I've seen performing with instruments so I could respect that.

Chisato: Yeah and you were there when he was up on stage, its clear to say that hes into much heavier music. 

I'm not gonna lie, I'm really grateful for chisato who was here to defend me all while calming down aya before she bursted into tears.

Maya: Chisato is definitely right! 

Eve: Yeah, don't get offended just because someone doesn't prefer our music, everyone is different ya know? We can't impress them all. 

Kasumi: If anything, I think you're a great Aya-Senpai! 

I put my one of my hands on Maruyamas shoulders. She looked up at me and I stared her dead in the eyes. 

Y/N: How about this Maruyama, Im not a fan of you guys right now. So how about you give me a reason to be a fan. Think you're up for the challenge? 

I said this knowing full well that Maruyama was the tryhard idol. She then wiped her tears and had a determined look on her eyes. 

Aya: Alright, I hope you're ready, cuz I swear to you that I will make you a fan! 

She said with lots of determination. 

Y/N: I'll hold you to that… 

Maya; Well, guess we have alot of work to do if we're gonna make this guy our fan. 

Eve: Yeah I swear, on the teachings of Bushido we will make you a fan! 

Eve: That seems like a Boppin Challenge lets Do it! 

Chisato: Well alright girls, if this the case than we're going to have to try our best on this one. 

Y/N: Oh? I was only challenging Maruyama over there, but since you guys want to join in, feel free. But just know what you're getting ourselves into. 

Chisato: Fufufu~ don't underestimate us L/N-San 

Y/N: I like that. Keep that same energy and we'll see 

I said playfully. 

This is going to be an interesting challenge. I'm really not a fan of japanese idol music but im very curious to see what kind of things they have in store for me.
