Welcome Home
Ryan's POV:
I noticed when I was driving that she had already fallen asleep.
It shouldn't be too much longer 'till we get to my house. Hang in there.
(Time skip *insert TOTALLY original and relevant context*)
I eventually parked near my home and turned off my car. I sighed, looking at Shyla who was soundly asleep.
I finally decided on opening the car door and going to the other side to pick up Shyla. I walked to the front door, still making sure she was still asleep, and lightly knocked on the front door.
"Hey Ry-"
"Shh, she's sleeping."
"Oh sorry." Bazz whispered, letting us in.
I had to cut him off or otherwise she would have woken up.
I brought her upstairs to the guest room and now probably her new room. I gently put her on the bed and tucked her in.
I was in the doorway, I didn't want to leave just yet. I wanted to look at her one more time before I left. I'm happy that I chose her, I don't doubt a second that I've made the wrong decision.
I was so lost in thought that I didn't even realize that I was smiling.
I closed the door and walked downstairs. Ready to just fall asleep.
(Time skip through the "Ride of Centuries" *it's just something I randomly made up* to daytime)
Shyla's POV:
I wake up, stretching and yawning and- wait, this isn't the orphanage.
Hold up, so what happened wasn't a dream, it was real?! Ryan did adopt me and brought me home?!........ I may need a moment to process this.
Then the sudden aroma of pancakes came by and smelt really good.
I took off my sheets and walked downstairs. I saw Ryan cooking and already made a stack of them. He put the another pancake to the stack. Afterwards, he turned the stove off and cleaned the pan.
He then looked at me.... with a bright smile on his face.
"Morning Shyla!" He said cheerfully. It's like that smile wouldn't leave his face.... like it was glued or something.
"Morning." I replied.
He went to grab us plates.
"So, how many pancakes do you want?"
"Uhh..." I never really had the option to choose how many I want, let alone the option of what I wanted to eat. "Two... please." I replied, quietly this time with a slight smile.
He smiled back. Seriously, that smile never left. Not like it was bad or anything, it was quite...... comforting, I didn't want it to leave.
He used a fork to pick up the pancakes for my plate and his. He then proceeded to put my plate down and his. Grabbing the syrup and the powdered sugar soon after. Then proceeds to put some syrup and "snowing" the powdered sugar on my plate and his.
I looked at my plate, still kinda overwhelmed on what's going on.
"Shyla, is everything okay?" His expression suddenly changed into worry.
"Yeah, everything's fine I'm just trying to adjust to my new home." I smiled.
He smiled in response. "Well eat up! We've got a big day ahead of us!..."
I started getting excited, I wonder what we're doing today?
"...But first I need to give you a tour of the house."
Well part of my question answered.
He smiled once again. "Welcome to your new home."
I smiled greatly and dug into my pancakes.
AN
I tried my hardest to get it finished by Friday but I was too late. Well I'll do better next time and, hey late is better than never, right?
