I was once half-awake and now I'm really awake.

"What do you mean you can't find her?! Did you not call the police?!" I kind of yelled, trying not to wake Shyla- wait, is she still in bed? "Is Shyla still here?!"

Baz is frazzled by the circumstance, "I-I looked all over the place to find her, I called the police they said that they will try and help find her, and the last time I checked Shyla was in her room."

Oh thank the lords, but that doesn't erase the fact that a child has gone missing and what's worse is that we don't know for how long she's been out on the streets, in the dark.

"Here, let me come with you-"

"What about Shyla?!"

"I'll... I'll bring her with me."

"Are you sure?"

"Yes! Now, come on we don't have that much time to waste."

He nodded and went to grab his car keys, while I went to wake up Shyla.

"Shyla, darling? You need to wake up. Shy has gone missing."

She started to wake up immediately.

"Wait? My sister's gone?!"

"Yes, but we have to hurry, we don't know where she might've left."

She left the bed as quickly as she could and came with me downstairs.

Baz was outside with his car turned on. I opened the door and brought her into the backseat. I buckled her up and closed the door. I, then, head into the passenger seat and buckled up.

I looked at Baz, "ready?"

He nodded, "ready."

We had no clue where she might've gone, but we think she might've not gone that far, so we began looking around in different areas that was close to us.

We went to the first area and went out of the car.

"Now, Shyla I want you to stay in the car, alright? Make sure the doors are locked and make sure no one comes in." I tell Shyla, she nodded in response.

Baz and I walked around, called for her name, and looking for her. She wasn't there. We went for the next area, walked around and called for her.

This happened a couple more times and I've never seen Baz this stressed in all my years I've been with him. He was on the verge of tears.

We went to the next area where she could've been. Baz's voice was breaking everytime he called out to her. He turned to me.

"What if I'll never find her? What if someone has taken her away or abused her already?"

"Baz, she is here somewhere, I just know it, we have to just keep looking." I say, while grabbing his shoulder. I'm just hoping it's not the worst case scenario.

"Let's... just split up and see if one of us finds her."

"... sure."

And we did exactly just that.

A while later, I stumble across an alleyway where I ended up seeing Baz and Shy sitting down. I got worried something happened and walked up to them. Shy was sobbing in Baz's arms.

"*sniff* why did my parents not want me anymore?"

It broke my heart just hearing that and I can't imagine what Baz is feeling right now...
