Bit of A Moment
Ryan's POV:
As much as I wanted to stay calm and as much as I knew why her expression change, it still scared and upsets me to still see her that way.
I glanced back and forth from the front view mirror from time to time to see if she makes a response.
She glanced at the mirror for a second and the quickly looks back down.
This isn't really how I wanted to go with the day, but the only thing I can do when we get back home is to make her feel better and more comfortable, not just at my home, but in the neighborhood as well.
I take another deep breath to calm my nerves down and smile in the mirror. She smiled back and that is all that I need.
*Through the world's of your imagination, time skip*
I wanted to wait when we got home so we could have the conversation. My poor little girl, there must be so much that is going through her head.
While I was thinking about all of this, I was looking for the key to my house, since Baz isn't necessarily at home for the moment.
Now, I have a feeling that you might think that we are "a couple" but we agreed that we'd go off on our own terms in the house and not to invade anyone unless for emergencies or videos. In other words, no, we are not a couple.
I've managed to open the door, bring her in, then closing and locking the door.
I then lead her to the fun, bouncing couch, just so it's not too tense, and serious.
She giggles with joy, just like I thought it would.
I pull up a chair and sit down slowly. I looked up at her, with concern.
She stops bouncing and she then changed her expression.
I sighed, "can we talk about what happened?" I asked, trying not to scare her too much.
She looked away as if she knew what I was about to say. She was scared to talk. I didn't want her to feel this way but I don't want her to hold in what's hurting her.
Doing these types of things is hard, especially when it's a child enduring something very emotionally heavy. No child and I mean NO CHILD should have to go through this.
I move my head to the side so I could align contact with her eyes. When I was able to, I smiled and tried to be goofy. She smiled back and laughed but that gradually turned into tears and somber as she ran towards me for a hug.
"I'm so glad you adopted me." Her voice cracked and she broke down in tears, crying.
I held on to her, rubbing her back. "You don't have to tell me what's going on. You're free to let your feelings out. I want you to know how much I love you and much I care for you."
She tightened her grip, letting it all out. It almost wanted to make me cry, it hurt so much, but I'm glad she's getting this off her chest somehow.
After some time I ended up asking her whether or not she needed anything. All she was to be with her for the time being, so I stayed with her for the majority of the time.
AN
Yay, finally got this through! Sorry for taking so long, there were moments where I had writer's block and other times I just wasn't able to get to it.
If you've made it this far, I thank you from the bottom of my heart and I'm glad you're enjoying it so far. (Well I hope you are atleast.)
I also thank you for being very patient with me, I know I haven't been "out and about" recently, but I'm making an effort to finish the new books that I've been creating and to finish some older stories like this one as well.
So enjoy yourself and enjoy those who care for you as well.
Sleep well or have fun in the sun. The choice is always up to you
