Chapter Four

"Fell-"

"Shut up!"

"Fell please-"

"I said shut up god damnit!"

Blue watched helplessly as Fell continued to punch the rocks around them, occasionally kicking sand or water around. Multiple times Classic or Blue had been victims of the downfall of wet sand, and were currently attempting to get it off. However, right as they had gotten almost all of it off, a new rain came upon them, causing Classic to take a turn getting him to stop.

"Alright, that's enough! We're all stuck here, and you kicking sand around is not helping anyone! So get yourself together and stop this!" Classic watched as Fell continued to punch and kick, effectively ignoring him. Classic reaches out and grabbed Fell's shoulder and turned him slightly so he could look at him. What he saw startled him.

Fell had large tears running down his face, his normal snarl was replaced with a look of pain and fear. Classic took a step back as Fell's face turned angrier, mixed with fear. "What do you want! Don't you understand?! Our code is being altered! That Creator bastard lost and now Error is destroying us! We can't get out of here now! We won't ever be able to! H-how can I remain calm when my life is on the line! If we die in here, we can't come back! We get l-lost in the void! Why should I be calm?!" Fell broke out into ugly sobs that caused him to fall to the ground, his knees sinking in the sand. Blue rushed forward to comfort him while Classic remained frozen in place, eyes wide in terror. Everything Fell has just said made total sense, and now he was starting to get nervous as well. If Fell has been worked up enough to cry, which he never does, then that meant they should really worry.

Blue was kneeling next to Fell and was rubbing his back in a calming way. "Hey, settle down Fell. I'm sure it'll be fine, we just have to trust in ourselves and get through it!" Suddenly Fell shot up and shoved Blue's hand off of him, causing Blue to yelp in surprise.

"How the hell am I supposed to stay calm! The Creator is dead! We can't get out! Did you not hear anything I said!"

Fell went back to crying while shaking. Blue was a little taken aback but put on a peaceful face and talked to Fell in a kind manner. "Hey, no one's asking you to be calm. Nobody is calm. In fact, showing fear or worry is a way to remain sane. I mean, I'd be shocked if any of us were calm. Even Classic seems a little rattled to say the least."

Fell slowly looked up at Blue and stared at him in disbelief, yet there was a bit of hope in his eyes. He quickly turned away and wiped his tears. He muttered quickly, "Yeah I guess." He then stood up and brushed the sand off of his legs. Blue got up as well and did the same. Classic looked over at the two of them and sighed, getting ready to go. Fell was looking at the ground while Blue started to take the lead.

"Okay guys! I, the Magnificent Sans-"

"We're all Sans idiot."

"-will be leading you through this strange Au! I think I see a tunnel up ahead, we could probably go through there!"

Classic shrugged while Fell continued to look at the ground. Blue spun around on his heel and started towards the cave. Classic followed, and eventually, Fell realized he would be alone if he didn't follow, so he started walking as well. They stopped at the mouth of the tunnel. Blue gulped.

"Here goes nothing.." Blue cautiously stepped inside, the others following. They traveled slowly, trying to stay close together. The trio was suddenly thankful for the glowing eyes, for it made it easier to see in the dark cave. Blue yelped suddenly when his eyes passed across the cave's walls. The other two turned their heads to the wall and gasped. Hieroglyphs made of light were forming on the walls where the light from their eyes hit.

"It... looks like stars. Like, the sky. And this one looks like stars being given to these monsters. And then.. the humans wanted these stars? But the monsters wouldn't let them, so I'm assuming that's the war that takes place in most Aus." Classic finished with a breath with an awed Blue staring back.

"Wowie! You really go all of that from a few pictures on the wall? That's so cool!" Blue was beaming, his eye lights had changed to stars. Fell chuckled. "Even with the different eyes, they can still change into stars. How amusing."

The group started forward again, jumping carefully off a ledge into a puddle of water, then climbing up some rocky stairs. Suddenly, Blue piped up. "I see light! The exit's up ahead!"

The group picked up the pace as the made it out and found..

"Is that.. a human? Made of yellow light?" Fell squinted at the human shaped light mass in front of them while Blue walked forward.

"Hello? Human? What are you doing up here?" The light made no response, so Blue decided to poke it. Classic realized what was going on too late and tried to stop him, but Blue's finger had already touched the light. Suddenly, the area turned white as the light enveloped everything, effectively blinding everyone. Blue screamed for only a moment before going silent.

When the light subsided, Fell blinked a few times, letting the spots disappear. He then turned to Blue and widened his eyes. Blue had yet again changed. He now bore a wooden mask that covered his entire face apart from the yellow glow of his eyes and had a glowing light on the forehead of the mask. He also had a teal cloak that was tied around his neck like his old bandana. The back of the cloak also had one of the star symbols that they found in the cave. It was glowing yellow as well.

"Wowie! I feel more energized than normal! This feels great! I also feel lighter now, like I could jump higher and move faster! This is magnificent!"

Fell looked at Blue nervously and turned to Classic. He started walking over to the light figure as well and touched it. The same process was repeated, with Classic groaning. Classic has the same mask as Blue and a cloak as well, but his was more of a blue cloak and just draped over his shoulders. He also had the same glowing star symbol on the back.

"Heh, he's not lying when he says it makes you feel lighter. I'm not sure about the energized part though, I could use a nap. But you should probably touch it as well Fell. It altered our appearances, so it has to mean we're doing something right."

Fell was enraged by this. "Altered our appearances? That's exactly what he wants! Error set this up as a trap so he could change our code and delete us! Don't you see?!" Classic sighed as Fell continued his rant, then grabbed his hand. Fell realizes what Classic was doing and tried to pull away. "Wait no don't-" But it was too late, seeing as Classic had already brought Fell's hand to the light. Suddenly, the world went white for Fell and he looked around in fear. The other two had disappeared, leaving him in this white void. Suddenly, a bright star floated down from above and came close to Fell. Not knowing what else to do, he tried to pick it up. As he did however, the light flew into his chest, fusing with his soul. He cried out in pain, his soul was the most sensitive part of his body, as with any other monster. He felt the mask appear on his face and felt the tattered red cloak wrap around him. When the light finally died down, Fell turned to see a grinning Classic and a giggling Blue.

"What?! What's so funny?!"

Classic rolled his eyes while chuckling and spoke in a sarcastic tone. "Oh, I don't know, I just never realized you played the harp."

"Harp?!" Fell quickly felt behind him, and sure enough, there was a handheld harp resting on his cloak. Fell quickly pulled it off and looked at it in disgust before throwing it onto the ground. He fully expected it to break, or at least snap a few strings, but found it didn't do anything. He then tried to break it in half and failed. Giving up, he threw it far away. When it was out of sight, he sighed in relief, until Classic spoke up again. "Hey buddy? Look at your back."

Fell felt his back again and found that the harp had returned. Yelling in rage, he threw it onto the ground with all of his strength. Of course, nothing happened to it. "Hey pal, I thought we already eliminated that possibility." Classic winked as Fell picked up the harp and placed it on his back again. "Shut up asshole."

Blue was too occupied looking down to notice most of the exchange between the two of them. When he thought they finished, he spoke up. "Hey guys? We might have a bigger problem." The other two walked over to the end of the ledge and looked down with Blue. It was a huge drop, and there was no way they'd be able to climb all the way down. There was lots of sand down below, but that wasn't going to make a fall any less lethal.

"How the hell are we supposed to get down?!"
