I love you, and I am so sorry for making your life harder because of that.

It took a bit longer than she suspected to get her hot temper to cease, but Lucy made sure she made it up to Rami for giving him such a hard time. He easily forgave her, thankful to learn that he wasn't the reason for her heartache.

He continued to keep his promise to keep her in line and help her where he saw fit. Kevin and the Steen's stepped in too; they really became the stable system she never really had. She found herself connecting the most with Elodie, the little princess practically became a niece to her. Eli loved everything about the revolutionist, aspiring to be like her when she got older. Lucy felt somewhat selfish about it; she felt as if every daughter would want to be like their mother and she didn't want to take that away from Karina. But the woman didn't fret, she was happy to see her child look up to such a powerful role model. Lucy felt honored.

It had been a couple months since the company found itself in Canada. So when Lucy found out they would be headed back north for live shows, she couldn't be happier. Calling friends and her family alike, she hoped to see them all again.

But she could never imagine what they had in store for her.

When it came to her work, Lucille had been struggling to get her kick back, feeling degraded by the actions of Stephanie's power. She felt as if she would never be able to bring about a change in the company. She felt as if her entire being had been shifted.

Everyone around her could see the affect it had on her. She was still keeping up with her training, but she was no longer as determined as she once was. She used to be creative and innovative when it came to her matches, but now fans felt as if they saw the same action on repeat. Where was her fire? Where was her spirit? This was not the Lucille Moreau they knew.

Because it's funny, really, how easily you can lose yourself, but how difficult it is to find yourself again.

As the roster settled into the arena, a funny feeling came over the woman. Something was off, but she couldn't tell what. Maybe it was because Rami was a little too happy that day. Maybe it was because she wasn't given her usual hug from Pamela, or her usual checking up call from Allen. Something was wrong.

Before rehearsals could begin for the show that night, Lucy was surprised to see the Fischer's appear in the stands. This type of thing wasn't open to the public, so it all confused her.

"Olivia, Adam. What're you doing here?" She called to them, ducking out of the ring to meet them by the barricade. What she didn't notice was the smiles on everyone's faces around her; they all knew.

"I know we aren't supposed to be here right now, but there's something we've been meaning to tell you." Adam explained, causing the woman's eyebrows to furrow.

"O-okay."

"All your life you've been told that no one knew anything about your birth parents. Well, that's not true. In fact, we've been in contact with her on multiple occasions. Why we never told you was on her request. We're so sorry we never told you sooner." Olivia admitted.

Lucy's eyes widened and she suddenly felt warm all over. She found it really hard to find the right words to say. There were too many questions running through her head.

"R-really? Where has she been? What's her name? What does she look like?"

"Woah, slow down there, tiger." Adam placed a hand on her shoulder, hoping to keep her in place. He seemed to look over her momentarily, his smile growing bigger,

"Why don't you ask her yourself?"

Confused and filled with emotions all at once, Lucille took a moment before looking back up the ramp. Tears instantly filled her eyes and she found it hard to breath.

Atop the ramp stood a woman many would see as beautiful. Honestly, she didn't have a lot of thoughts running through her mind as she was so emotional. There was one thing, though, that did: go to her.

"Mom?" A tearful call sounded from Lucy.

The woman nodded her head and started down the ramp. Lucy's emotions grew as she slowly made her way towards her. With each step, she found herself picking up the pace until she was in a rush. Tears flew from her eye as her smile was bright on her face. She even noticed some tears falling from her mother's eyes too.

"Mom!" She called out as she reached her, wrapping her into a tight hug and filling her hair with tears. This was almost thirty years in the making. This was for the time wasted. A mother and daughter reunited for the first time. What a sight to behold.

All around them, co-workers and staff members cheered and applauded at their reunion. Many wouldn't deny the tears in their eyes after seeing such a hard fought battle come to an end. Lucille was no longer and orphan, and that thought alone could shatter the hearts of even the toughest of men.

Lucy clung to her mother, afraid that if she let her go, she would leave again. However, the amount of love she gave in returned made her heart believe that she wasn't going anywhere.

"I'm sorry, I'm so sorry for all the pain I caused you. I'm sorry for the life I gave you. I'm sorry for being such a horrible mother." Her mother muffled into her hair, the occasional sniffle broke up her words.

"Mom, shut up." Lucy laughed and hugged her tighter, causing her mother's sniffling to subside.

"Let me get a look at you," She said, moving her daughter to be arms length from her. Looking her up and down, she couldn't help but smile, "God, Olivia was right: we do look a lot alike. You definitely have your father's eyes." Her brown eyes seemed to advert her as the thought of the woman's father came up. That causes Lucy's heart to flutter.

"Did he - did he come too?" Lucy questioned, unsure if she should be excited or worried due to her mother's reaction.

She merely shrugged it off and pulled her back into a hug, "I'm so glad to finally meet you. There's so much we need to do; catching up for thirty years will not be easy."

She suggested that the two should go get lunch to reconnect. And although Lucy was unsure that she could get around her busy schedule, Mick informed her that a night off was just what the woman needed. She thanked him with a hug before connecting with Adam and Olivia and heading out.

Silverware and cups clattered in the small cafe the family found themselves in. The city seemed to be bustling because of the tapings coming up, but it hardly showed in the shop. Lucy was all smiles as the continued to admire the woman before her. Her mother, who she learned was named Addison. After so many years of dreaming what this moment would be like, it was finally happening. She couldn't wait to learn everything about her: what she did for a living, what her family is like, and most importantly, why did she give her up?

"I know you must have a lot of questions for me, but I have just as many about you as well. I mean, Adam and Olivia gave me some context, but it just isn't enough. So, I have to ask, what got you into their field of work you find yourself in?" Addison asked as she took a sip of her tea.

"Honestly, after moving foster homes for so long, I wanted out. When I was sixteen, I got my first job at a wrestling promotion, putting together rings and being time keeper for matches. Since I was young, I knew I wanted to be a wrestler. At first, it just looked like a lot of fun, but as I grew older, I saw how women were treated. How petty and vulnerable companies made them look. I wanted to change all of that, and in some cases, I guess you can say I have." Lucy found herself smiling as she thought it over. In cases such as TNA and Shimmer, she helped put those divisions on the map. She had achieved the goal her small self made years and years ago.

Because she refused to be anything but successful in her actions.

"I see, and I bet you've been able to really settle down with a man at this point, right?" A small twinkle formed in the woman's eyes. She knew by her daughter's age, she was happily married to the father of her child.

Lucy gulped as her fingers tied together on the tabletop. A nervous chuckle sounded from her as she searched for the right words to say.

"Actually, in the business I'm in, it's hard to really settle down, especially in the way you did. I just don't have time for a family, let alone a boyfriend."

"Huh, I could've sworn that Olivia told me about a man. What was his name... Remy, perhaps? Or was it Sammy?"

"Rami?" Lucy asked with a laugh. When her mother nodded confused, she shook her head, "Rami is just a man I work with. There's nothing going on between us; I just don't feel that way towards him."

"Fair enough." Her mother held her hands up towards her in defense, causing the woman to giggle.

"Now it's my turn to ask some questions. There's so many I want to ask, but there's one I need to know: why did you abandon me?"

Addison let out a sigh. Even though she knew this question was bound to come up, she was afraid about the reason behind it. Taking another sip of her drink for some courage, she searched her brain for the right words to tell the story in it's entirety.

"Before I tell you why, I'm going to start this from the beginning, okay?" Lucille nodded and settled into her seat, her fidgeting hands wrapped softly around her coffee cup. She noticed her mother's features soften as she began to tell the tale, "I met your father when I was very young. Childhood best friends, you know. He was always someone who meant a lot to me, someone I could always turn to when I was in need. So it wasn't that surprising when we fell in love with each other and we started to date. One thing lead to another and he asked me to marry him. I thought I was given the best life and everything was going my way.

"But around the time when I found out I was pregnant for you, things stopped. Motherhood was always something I wanted to experience, but he didn't. He was never the type to want a family, all he wanted was he and me. Because two people was enough in his eyes. That was something I would not stand for. We - we argued a lot about what would happen to you. I wanted be able to experience what it's like to have a daughter, to have a proper family; he wanted me to get an abortion.

"And I know, looking back at it now, how toxic the situation was, how dangerous he was not only to me, but to you as well. After months of the arguing, the constant battle, and the occasional hit, I walked out. I was determined to be a mother and I was not going to let such a low life of a man stand in my way."

"So, what happened to him?" Lucy asked, curious about where her father was now.

"After I left, he... he sent threats. He vowed that if I had you, that I would regret it. I got the police involved and that settled the matter. However, I was still fearful about the power he wielded and what damage he could actually do.

"Once you were born, I put you up for adoption. That moment is the hardest thing I've ever had to do, but I did it to protect you. I was afraid he would come back and hurt you, or worse. I knew I couldn't provide the best life I could for you with him looming, so I had to send you away. Every step of the way, I knew you were in good hands, and from a distance I watched you grow into the beautiful woman you are today. I'm very sorry about putting your through all of that. Know that I love you more than life itself, but I couldn't have lived with myself if anything had happened to you."

Lucy felt a mix of emotions over her mother's words. Her mouth hung open slightly in shock and her eyebrows knitted together in anger towards her father. To think that if her mother had been weaker, she may have not have been there today.

"W-where is he now?"

"Honestly, I'm not sure. Probably off making another woman's life hell. But I do know that he has no idea that you are around. If he did, though..." Addison's eyes screwed shut as she bit at the inside of her cheek.

Lucy put the pieces together, letting out a sigh when she figured it out. If he found her, she probably wouldn't be around anymore. The thought alone caused her mouth to dry up and her heart to race.

"Hey, don't worry," Her mother reached over and grabbed her fidgeting hand. Giving it a reassuring squeeze, Lucy felt comforted, "He doesn't know anything about you. He doesn't even know your name for that matter, and I intend to keep it that way.

"I want you to come back into my life, Lucille. I want to be able to make up for lost time, if you give me the chance."

Lucille's smile grew as she nodded wholeheartedly, she couldn't be any happier to hear her mother say that. The chance to have a normal family for once was all she ver wanted. Addison was all smiles too, happy to have her daughter back.
