"Hey wait up"! A young skeleton bounced his way over to his friend, his brown fluffy scarf waving behind him.
"Well your just to slow, cmon your gonna miss it"! Yelled the other (taller) young skeleton bounding through the snow with his gray jacket tied around his waist.
Both of them giggled as they ran side by side, pushing or teasing each other every few seconds.
"Glitch, where are we going"? The smallest asked, as he looked up at his big brother.
"You'll see, just a bit further Proxy and we'll be in waterfall"! The tallest said back to his little brother.
The brothers stoped as they reached a field of bright, glowing echo flowers. Their blue tint spreading across the gray grassy area.
Proxy had never been this far in waterfall before and was looking around at the flowers as he held his brothers hand.
" it's amazing out here!" Proxy said still looking around wildly at everything.
The echo flowers repeated what he said and echoed it through the field.
His brother smiled at him approvingly.
" hey bro"
"Yeah?"
"Look up"
He did as Glitch told him to and looked up. All on the ceiling of waterfall were little bright stones that resembled bright glowing stars.
"Woah!" Proxy yelled with astonishment and flopped onto the ground to look up at the stars.
Glitch joined him and laid next to Proxy on the gray grass.
"It's pretty cool right, mom showed me this when you were still a baby-bones". He sat up reached towards the stars. "One day, I'm gonna get one of those stars. Then I'll get to make my wish"! Glitch said with a look of determination as Proxy sat up with him.
"What's your wish"? He said as curiosity flashed in his eye sockets.
"I can't tell! It won't come true if I do!" Glitch looked almost offended as he snapped at his brother.
"O-oh sorry! I um, well...sorry" Proxy fidgeted with his scarf as his face buried deep within it. A bright green blush spread on his face as Glitch giggled at him.
"Bro it's ok, really it's fine I was joking with you". Glitch turned and held him tightly with a spine-crushing hug.
Then Glitch picked up Proxy for a piggyback ride and ran back to snowdin. As the two brothers disappeared in the distance You could still hear the faint conversation they had, repeating in the field of bright blue echo flowers...

2 years later:

"Hey bro I'm gonna be out for a bit I'll be back soon"! Glitch yelled from downstairs as he grabbed his gray jacket off the coat rack.
There was a load thud then the sound of scampering foot steps from upstairs.
Glitch giggled to himself and sighed, when will his brother ever learn? He thought as Proxy came tumbling down the stairs.
"W-wait bro I-"! He was cut off as he tripped on air (like the clumsy brother he was) and fell face first down the rest of the stairs.
Glitch ran to the end of the stairs and caught Proxy by his shoulders.
"Well aren't you in a rush~" he teased Proxy as he looked down at him.
"Hey"! Proxy got up and handed Glitch a small package.
"What's this"? Glitch asked as he took the package from Proxy.
"Silly! It's your lunch that you almost forgot about in my room"! His hands went to his sides as his hips tilted slightly to the right side as if he was trying to be sassy.
"Oh! Heh sorry bro, it won't happen again I promise"
"You say that every time"!
"Not true"!
"Yeah it is true dumb butt"!
Both argued for a long period of time before Glitch finally set out for sentry duty. In the end he had won the argument and Proxy was left with a list of things to do that day.
To do list:
Take out trash
Go to the market for some food
Clean house
Go to waterfall
.......

Proxy went back upstairs to retrieve his brown boots and brown fluffy scarf. The scarf was originally his mothers but she gave it to him when they all got separated. ( there will be another short story later on that explains how they were separated ) he pulled it around his neck and over his shoulder, he looked over at the list his brother made and noticed the unusual handwriting that spelt out " go to waterfall". It was weird because the only time he would go to water fall is with his brother. He decided that instead of taking his time at the market for food he would rush to be able to go to waterfall sooner.

One shopping trip later~

All was quiet in the house as he opened the door.
"Bro? You home early"? He called out, but nobody answered. He shrugged and unloaded the groceries into the kitchen. He glanced at the list, the last thing to do is to clean the house then he would be able to go to waterfall! As he started to clean and bounce around excitedly it wasn't long before everything was complete. He ran out the door straight to waterfall.

10 minutes later~

His boots splashed in a puddle as he ran all the way to the "special spot" his brother and him go to when they look at the ceiling stars. To think only 2 years ago he came here for the first time.
He stoped to take a breather near a patch of echo flowers. They began to echo a conversation that had happened not to long ago...

"So, don't you have any wishes to make"?

"Hum...just one but, it's kinda stupid".

"Don't say that, cmon, I promise I won't laugh".

"You aren't going to tell my parents about this, are you"?

"If I tell you my wish,you promise not to laugh".

"I promise".

"Someday I want to climb this mountain we're all buried under, standing under the sky, looking at the world all around me"

(Laughter)

"Hey! You said you wouldn't laugh at me"!

"I'm sorry, it's just...that's my wish too"...

Conversation ends~

Proxy listened to the whole thing and snickers a bit as it reminds him of his brother. Then continues running along the trail to the "special spot". As he approached the spot it was oddly quite. A soft wind went through field as his scarf waved behind him.
"Howdy"!
A small voice came from behind him, he jumped and turned around quickly. All there was...was a...talking flower?

"I'm flowey, flower the flower! Who are you"?

"Oh! Um...I'm P-Proxy, nice to meet you".

"Hum...you sure do look like him? But that name...I wonder if he's stronger than smiley trash bag back in my timeline".

The flower snickered a little and mumbled something under his breath, but Proxy looked up over his shoulder and saw his brother running towards him.

"Oh! Hey bro"! He yelled as the flower looked past Proxy over to Glitch.

The flower snickered "so he doesn't belong? that one running towards us must be the sans that belongs here, well I have to fix this, don't I~".
Flowey slowly wrapped around Proxy's legs and tossed him into the river.
Proxy was startled and fell head first into the water. He tried to move...but he couldn't? Why couldn't he move?! He couldn't hold his breath for much longer as black started to form around the corners of his vision. The little air he had left escaped his mouth and he could do nothing! He kept sinking deeper and deeper into the river as he passed out, but what he didn't know is that flower had actually banished him to a dark place called, THE VOID...
