Andy washed Louis hair and cleaned him up so once he's changed and settled in Harry's huge kind size bed that Louis looks tiny in, they leave him and head back downstairs, Andy planning to check on Louis every hour or so.

Harry enters his room and when he sees Louis in his bed his heart skips a beat, why has this kid affected him so much. He's so beautiful and small and Harry is absolutely smitten. His tough exterior completely comes away when he sees Louis and that's never happened before. Harry is so confused and a little worried.

He needs to keep Louis safe, this isn't exactly the safest work environment and Harry doesn't want Louis be exposed to that. He knows his boys will protect Louis and after tonight and Harry pretty much telling those thugs that Louis is his will be the cause of a lot of talk. Harry obviously made sure they were taken care of but he didn't have them killed, now he's thinking that may have been a mistake.

Harry sighs, he showers in the private ensuite, changes into sweats and a T-shirt, puts some socks on his feet, grabs his phone and sits in the comfy lounge chair next to the bed. He will do some work while he waits for Louis to wake up.

Louis wakes a few hours later, he's confused and disorientated and sits up suddenly wincing as he reaches for his head. He feels like an axe has been driven through his scull.

"Hey Lou, go easy, just relax" Harry says from the chair beside Louis.

Louis relaxes when he realises he's with Harry, he doesn't know where he is though

"Where am I " Louis asks softly as he looks to Harry

Harry smiles warmly

"My place darling, you're in my bed" Harry reassures

Louis can tell, he's surrounded by Harry's smell everywhere and it somehow comforts him

"What happened?" Louis asks, he's slightly confused

"What do you remember?" Harry asks gently

"I....just.... the alley and those guys" Louis says quietly

Harry sighs seeing Louis face, he just wants to wrap him up.

"You hit your head really hard, needed 12 stitches, you have a broken rib and some bruises so you need to rest" Harry says gently

"I need to get home to my dad, I'm sorry to be a bother " Louis says.

He tries to get up but winces in pain.

"Hey, it's okay Lou, we've spoken to your dad he will be here in the morning, right now you need to rest though" Harry says sternly.

"But I'm in your bed, I can have the couch I'm fine" Louis protests

"Louis please, I want you in my bed, I want you safe and I need to keep an eye on you, just relax, I promise it's fine" Harry insists

Louis looks to Harry about to break, Harry sees tears in Louis eyes and sighs, he gets up and does something he never thought he would do in his entire life, he pulls back the covers and hops in next to Louis. Louis is confused and doesn't really register what's happening before Harry is lying down and bringing Louis across his chest carefully, so his head rests over Harry's heart.

"Everything is okay, I promise, we will talk in the morning just sleep" Harry says as he comforts Louis.

Louis tenses until he relaxes into Harry's warmth. Harry is so comfortable and soft and smells wonderful and before he knows it he's out. Harry watches Louis sleep for a few minutes before he's nodding off himself. Andy comes in a few times to top Louis pain relief in his drip up and can't help the smile when he sees them both cuddled together on the bed. And if he goes to get the others and they snap a photo of the two no one has to know.

"He's okay J, he will be tender for a week or so but he's fine, more in shock than anything I think" Harry tells James as they stand in Harry's kitchen

Harry slipped out of bed early this morning and left Louis sleeping peacefully, they had to call James over to explain what happened and he's freaking out.

"So you know who hurt him?" James worries

The boys all look at each other

"What?" James panics

"Just don't flip out J, you and Louis are safe but... the two men do run with Tony" Scott tells James.

James face pales.

"Shit, this can't be a coincidence after the break in" James says

"We haven't confirmed that was Tony yet" Scott says

"He doesn't know Louis is your son, we still don't think he knows you're back. This was really a random attack on Louis, it's nothing to do with Tony" Harry reassures

When James used to work with Des, before he left town, James was involved in helping Des bring down an inside takeover. Tony was trying to build up a team to ambush Des and takeover the underground. It was James who brought them down and Tony disappeared but not before he carried out unthinkable acts and threatened James life if he ever saw him again. Tony left town but when news of Des's death spread a few years later he came back. Harry of course has men watching him. Has built an incredible loyal team all throughout London and Tony has never tried anything.

If he finds out James is back though and that he has a son, it's going to be a shit show and Louis is going to be in danger.

"But what if Tony finds out, it's only a matter of time" James says as he runs his hands over his face.

"Well, you're eventually going to move into the estate, you know we are going slow because of Louis. If we need to move you in sooner we will. But trust me J I won't let anything happen to Louis" Harry says

James trusts Harry impeccably. Des was his best friend and he's raised a wonderful son who not only cares about his people but protects them too and James couldn't be more thankful.

"I trust you Harry I do, but he's everything to me, he doesn't deserve any of this and his mum...he doesn't even know how she really died. I've never told him and I don't know if he would ever forgive me if I did" James says

"So Louis....he doesn't know anything?" Edward asks confused

"He was so young and I never thought I'd be back, never thought I would work with the underground again. I thought I was done. What was the point of hurting him again" James says

"We understand J. We know you wanted to protect Louis and we will keep your secret but if this comes out and Tony does find out you're back. Don't you think Louis needs to hear the truth from you first?" Drew asks sympathetically

James sighs.

"He's going to hate me" James says

"He isn't going to hate you, he will be upset for awhile sure, but it's better that than his safety being compromised" Harry says

"You're right, I know, I'll work out a way to tell him" James says

"You know can move in here anytime" Harry says seriously.

"I know, thanks Harry. Louis, he isn't very good with change since....his mum died and I just need to ease him in to all of this. I'm sorry it's taking so long I just..." James says

Harry and the boys can hear and see the fear and love in James voice, keeping Louis protected is all he cares about and he also doesn't want to disappoint Harry.

"You always have a place here J and so does Louis, that will never change. You have our support and we will go at your pace, there is no rush" Harry says sincerely

Just as James is about to reply in thanks, Louis walks into the kitchen limping. He looks pale, sore and so tiny.

"Louis" James says as he rushes to Louis side

"Dad" Louis says as he tears up and falls into his dads warm embrace, he can't help the tears that come and he lets go and cries

"Shhhh, it's okay bud, it's all okay, I've got you. You're safe bud" James reassures Louis as he hides his face in James chest.

The boys look on sympathetically and Harry craves to be the one comforting Louis but he knows how much he needs his dad right now.

When Louis finishes crying he pulls back and wipes his eyes on his sleeves and the boys nearly coo as his cuteness

"How are you feeling kiddo" Andy asks

Louis looks towards them shyly

"I'm fine" he says

"Well you're due some more pain relief, we need to keep on top of it so your pain doesn't get too out of control" Andy says

"I don't really want it, it makes me feel funny and I don't like it" he says cutely

The boys all smile

"It can make you feel a little out of it but it's better than the pain I promise, and someone should be with you at all times while you're on the pain relief, so you'll be safe" Andy smiles

"I think it might be best if you both stay here for a few nights" Harry says

"I agree Lou, I have to work and I'd feel a lot more comfortable if you were with Harry and the boys or whoever is here with you" James says

Louis sighs and looks towards Harry and the boys.

"Can I sleep on the couch" Louis asks shyly

"The couch?" Scott asks confused

"Yeah" Louis says

"We have heaps of spare bedrooms kiddo, you don't need to sleep on the couch" Edward says

"I...I know I just" Louis says as he trails off

The boys catch on, they remember Louis mentioning he had slept on his couch at his old apartment for years and he must feel safe in a way.

"We have four lounge rooms Lou, I can show you them and you can chose which couch you'd like to sleep on, how does that sound?" Harry says smiling.

Louis is grateful it's not a big deal and he nods in thanks.

"Well let's get you comfortable hey, you need to be resting and I need to give you more pain relief" Andy says

Louis is shown the four lounge rooms, his dad carrying him bridal style when Louis gets too sore. Louis, when he sees the lounge room on Harry's private floor a door away from Harry's room he shyly asks to sleep there.

The boys hide their smiles and Harry has to hide his grin and agrees easily. The boys make sure Louis is comfortable with pillows a blanket and the Tv before Andy is giving him pain relief and he's out.

The couch is more like a bed and is just as comfortable, Harry knows Louis will sleep soundly and knowing he is a door away is soothing.

The boys all head back to work and James stays with Louis, not having to start until later that night. He watches over his son and just hopes he can do what needs to be done to keep Louis safe.
