Chapter 2

Sans was petrified, he finally heard the words he dreaded to here... "burden". He began to tear as he watched his brother walk on ahead. Why then?! *hic* why do you put up with me? Why didn't you just save all the time disciplining and ordering me and just get rid o-of *hic* me from the start?!!" Sans became a weeping mess as Papyrus slowly turned, eyes wide, and pissed. "What?!" He hesitated to smack Sans when he watched him cry huge tears and choking on them. He was taken aback as he began feeling something other than anger or hatred. Something he hadn't felt before.... Pity.

Sans continued his weeping, which had slowly died down into unintelligible mumbles. Perhaps... He did go to far, perhaps he did deserve to be beaten and abused. Perhaps... He should turn to dust. After all, that's all Papyrus would have wanted.... Right? Not now, since he was watching, but... When Sans could be alone... Then just maybe.... Was all Sans thought as he slowly got up and followed Papyrus once again, ignoring the fact that Papyrus had reached for him before he walked past. His only objective was to set Papyrus free from his laziness and uselessness.

Papyrus stood there watching the young depressed skeleton as Sans pushed past him. He felt a tug at his heart as he heard his mind speak to himself, ~Perhaps... I should.. Apologize? Maybe do something extra for him for once? God... I just wanted to help him get strong- What the hell? Am I actually worried for him?!~ Papyrus couldn't believe himself. He had actually worried for someone for once, and not just anyone either, but for Sans. He stared towards the ground, completely unaware of Sans slipping away from the area. He snapped out of it twenty minutes later. "N-Ngh?! SANS!!!"

Sans' PoV:

"Man, that was... C-close... Might as well do it now while he can't find me..." Sans mumbled to himself as he walked in the opposite direction of Papyrus. He jammed his hands into his pocket as he made his way to the only spot he knew they had been to before. If he could just be allowed to free Papyrus, he'd know they'd both be happy. Or at least... He thought... Sans made it after 30 minutes and looked down the cliff. He shuddered but kept any second thoughts out of mind. He peered over the cliff and whispered to himself, "Well, at least I can do something for ya, Boss. I just... Wish it was something else instead..." He lifted a leg before something spun him around, pulling him into an embrace.

"Sans what the FUCK?!" Papyrus held onto Sans, pulling him away from the edge. Sans looked up in fear, but it soon faded when the sight of his brother crying was visible. "B-Bos-" SMACK! Papyrus slapped Sans three times, before kissing him roughly. Sans was bewildered, Papyrus.... Was kissing him. Papyrus pulled back and pressed his foreskull against Sans'. "S-Sans... I.... I lov-" Undyne rushed in, "PAPYRUS!!! DID YOU GET HIM?!" Her face straightened when she saw the two skeletons holding each other. "Um..... What..." The brothers blushed and pulled back, "W-What is it!? Why are you wasting HIS time!?" Papyrus screeched as he got in Undyne's face.

Sans blushed once more as he looked at Papyrus, " 'H-His'? W-What do you mean, B-Boss?" Papyrus looked at Sans slightly, trying to avoid looking soft. "Get up, Lazybones... We have to go..." Undyne smiled a little, "Did I just see... The Great and Terrible Papyrus.... Hugging his whelp of a brother?" Undyne was cut short when Papyrus caught her by the throat. Fear poured from the human fish's eyes as she stared into the hatred Papyrus had. "Don't EVER call him a whelp, he's MY responsibility, not yours!!!" He let her go and walked Sans home, leaving the guard quite frazzled. "Well.... Shit...."
