Chapter 1

BOOM! CRASH! And yet another sound of plates crashing. Sans jolted from his sleep as he touched his hand to his scarred eye. The memories of countless hitting and punching rushed back at him. He looked over to the nearly shattered clock beside him as he tried to see the numbers through the shattered glass his oh so "dearing" brother did. 4:00am, two hours late, there was no way in getting out of this mess now. Another crash, seemingly closer, jolted Sans away and a rushed series of footsteps forced the fidgety skeleton to pounce from his bed and throw any form of clothes on. The door broke down with a bone chilling CRACK as Papyrus barged in screaming. "SANS! GET YOUR ASS UP THIS INSTANT! DO YOU EVEN REALIZE WHAT TIME IT IS?!"

Sans shuddered at his brother's fierce voice as he shook his head. "N-No.... W-What time is i-it, B-Bro Boss?" Papyrus' face contorted to a rather irritated face as he grabbed Sans' skull, dragging the poor guy downstairs. He slammed his face into the microwave clock, nearly shattering Sans' skull and the glass. Sans winced but never ever dared to weep in front of his brother, no matter how hard it was to resist. In fact, despite how unhealthy it was, Sans never even cried, except internally. This left the skeleton with many issues that affected his performance like his depression, his inability to cry, his awareness, and his dreams. Those were the worst for him, though. Not that constant nightmares didn't make him feel anymore better than how his brother constantly made him feel: With the constant physical abuse, not to mention the social embarrassment he put him through one time as a form of punishment for sleeping on the job.

Sans winced from the throbbing pain as his brother finally let go 30 minutes into the rant. A whole half hour just for sleeping two hours past his alarm was all it took for Sans to finally be fed up and punch Papyrus in the nose, breaking his nose bone. He slammed the former captain into the wall a couple of times, each one luckily harmless before letting him go. Papyrus reeled back up from being thrown to the ground, in both shock and agony from the stinging pain of his profusely bleeding nose and repeated throwing, as he glared hellish daggers at Sans. Sans knew he had made a massive mistake as he stared frightened at his outraged brother. He bolted just barely seconds from being hit, out the door and was chased all the way to Judgement Hall, where he hid behind the many pearlescent quartz pillars. A few seconds later, and he heard hard angry footsteps as Papyrus came into view. "You little brat... I'll MAKE YOU PAY FOR EVEN DARING TO ATTACK ME!!!" Sans scrunched up his eyes as large fat red tears poured from his sockets. He hoped he wouldn't be seen as he remained still.

Papyrus slowly pried around as he watched each and every pillar, like a hungry predator hunting for meat; in this case, hunting for revenge. He spotted the jacket Sans had been wearing and snuck ever so quietly towards the pillar. When he got close, he waited for Sans to peak over, allowing him to surprise attack him. Sans peaked over and was knocked on the ground as his skull was repeatedly smash into it. "YOU FUCKING SLACKER!!! YOU SHOULD'VE NEVER HIT ME! NOW YOU'RE GONNA GET IT, YOU USELESS. PIECE. OF. GARBAGE!!!" Sans screed as the immense pain coursed through his cracking head. A pool of blood had begun to form as Papyrus made one last slam of Sans' skull. There was no way Sans would be conscious by now, but somehow... He was... All that could be heard by now were the soft weeps of Sans and the angered pants of Papyrus as he got up. "Get up now!!! You've got a punishment to receive... GET UP!!!" Papyrus kicked Sans in the throat, luckily not enough to cause too much damage, and forced the coughing monster to his feet.

Sans held his throat as he continued looking down, a bruise now forming on his bones as the pain was barely tolerable. Papyrus grumbled underneath his breath as he led the whimpering mess back to his station as he contemplated on why he even had him around for so long. Sans heard the grumbles and sighed. He figured Papyrus would ponder that one day and it seemed... It was that day. Sans waited for an opportunity to slip away, which was very short lived as he was dragged back towards the house by Papyrus who hissed in anger. "Why are you trying to wither my patience? Why can't you just do what I simply order? Why are you such a fucking burden?!"

That... Was the final straw...
