The temporary peace soon vanished as Papyrus noticed Sans' soul beginning to disintegrate. He sobbed, "S-SANS!!! N-NO!!! STAY WITH ME!!!" He pulled his and Sans' soul out. He placed them together and his magic began repairing Sans, keeping him stable for awhile. A sudden shock jolted the bros, and the souls fidgeted. Their souls began rejecting each other, but Papyrus refused to give up.

Hours upon hours of trying, and little to no progress was made. Sans was only able to have enough to walk a few steps before his bones began to dust itself. His body was attacking itself, and he had no possible way to stop it. Sans winced as his soul continually broke down into bits. Papyrus grunted, trying to heal his slowly dying brother. He held tightly, then felt a soft release in Sans' "muscles". He glanced and saw Sans' soul slowly regenerating, but with two colors instead of one: His normal red, and maroon color... Papyrus' color. Papyrus blushed and realized what had just happened. Sans had given him consent, and made them one.

Papyrus carried Sans back to their house where he decided to keep him from doing anything stressful. He (metaphorically) tied him to the bed, preventing him from getting up. "You will stay there untill you get better. Understand?" He snorted flashing a genuine smile. Sans blushed enjoying how his brother was treating him. He wanted it to last and snuggles underneath the pillows. "He's such a fucking marshmallow. I love him..." Papyrus thought to himself. Indeed Sans was a fluffy marshmallow, all bundled up in the sheets of the bed. He softly cooed as he fell asleep.

Papyrus began picking up the dirty clothes, cleaning the kitchen and living room, and even restrained Sans' self-sustaining tornado before checking up on him again. His softening pupils traced Sans' body, from his skull all the way to his feet. " Why does he have to be so god damn cute?" He found himself thinking. Papyrus clenched the doorway before entering to lay beside his sleeping brother. He stroked his jaw afterwards, soon falling asleep after.
