Sakura's POV:
Location: Konohagakure Secret Agency; Mission Garage
Time: 9:20 am

I've already made it to the garage and I'm waiting for Sasuke to arrive. Naruto and Hinata left twenty minutes ago and Sasuke and I have to leave at 9:30. 'I just hope he doesn't get here late', I think, mostly trying to keep a calm mind.

I'm pretty nervous about this mission. 'Kakashi-sensei just had to pick me and Sasuke'. Sasuke has always been my childhood crush, but I believe that 'crush' turned into love. I truly love him. He may not be the kindest to me but either way my feelings have never changed, I sometimes think they should.

The agency doesn't permit agents to have any romantic relationships for trust reasons. Think about it, if two agents begging to date, trust grows, what if one of those agents fall to the other side? The other agent will obviously be put in a vulnerable position to both the agency and enemy. They'll try to fight for their partner and that agent could be used by their partner as a tool to be used as a way to gain information on the agency's weak spots. That can't be allowed.

And keeping a secret relationship is hard. The agency has practically cameras everywhere, they're like Mossad. Except we're not in Israel. And because of that Rule #18 exists.

Rule #18: Never date a fellow spy.

I've personally never liked that rule, it blocks true love, but what can I do, it makes sense. If someone were to break it, they would be put in prison. It's like a law. But a rule, close enough,

I let out a soft, long sigh. I didn't even realize it at the time, but I was actually at the brink of crying. I refrain my tears, 'why am I almost crying?'. It was probably because I might never get a chance with the love of my life.

Sasuke Uchiha.

But I had to accept it, yes it's hard, but there's no hope for us.

I can't help but feel the same for Hinata. She's always loved Naruto, with all her heart, it's so easy to see. But their are too may obstacles in this path. Obstacles that are too impossible to cross.

I think all of this in my heart not even noticing I spent six minutes in that thought. Time flies when you're overthinking about your hopes and dreams not ever having an opportunity to becoming reality.

It was already 9:27 and Sasuke finally arrived. I see his tall figure out of the corner of my eye. I turn to see him and he's coming with his suitcase, and another one, but it seems to be a business suitcase. I'm curious.

"Hi, Sasuke, good morning", I greet him and he keeps quiet for some time. I thought he was just going to keep quiet.

"Hn, Good morning", he says, I'm relieved that he was at least talking a little. I hope he doesn't use attitude at the gala.

Sasuke's POV:
Location: Konohagakure Secret Agency; Mission Garage
Time: 9:27 am

So my partner for this mission is Sakura, huh. Hn, she's not bad, she's actually an old friend. Ugh, she was one of those fan girls of mine.

But, in those times, what surprised me the most is that she changed over the years. She eventually stopped being a fan girl. Which I was relieved about, she was one of the most annoying ones too.

But she still held feelings for me.

I don't mind  that she feels that towards me, unless she gets clingy, I'm glad she doesn't.

To be completely honest with myself, I actually grew a liking, let's call it that, to her in college. She isn't bad looking. But that's not the reason behind why I like her, it was actually because of how much she cared for me. Even as agents when we get missions together, she looked out for me, and  for that I'm thankful.

I'm not sure if she feels like that towards me till now, or if I still have that liking to her. Yet I know it won't be much of a problem since we're both loyal to the rules. Even that rule.

Rule #18: Never date a fellow agent.

I've already arrived at the mission garage. I decided to travel light, only bring clothes, mission gear, gadgets, and my interrogation supplies.

I see Sakura's already here waiting for me. She greets me good morning and I to her as well.

I see her looking at me funny. But then I realize her sights  are actually set on my suit case, were my gadgets and interrogation supplies are. I see curiosity in her eyes, I then remember this is a new carrier for my those items. I would usually carry them in a backpack, but that was wearing out so I bought this suitcase last month.

"Hey Sasuke", the pinkett said with a questioning tone as I was putting my luggage in the taxi's truck.

"What?", I asked not making eye contact and closing the trunk.

"Umm, what's the suitcase for?", she asked. See I knew she was curious. "It's my gadgets and interrogation supplies, I changed my backpack last mont", I reply. Silence, awkward silence, filled the atmosphere, we said nothing afterwards.

The mood is tensing up between us.

I was clueless on how I should act with her at the gala. Maybe I should ask Sai how he does that fake smile of his. I wonder if I should be nice to her as a friend while adding a gentlemanly spice. Ugh, this is going to be something else.

I sigh lowly, but apparently loud enough for the pinkett spy to catch her attention."Is everything alright?", she asks, worriedly may I add. See, she always cares for me. I feel a small tap of happiness touch my heart from her worried voice, but I try to prevent myself from showing it.

"Hn, I guess it's time to go", I say to try to change the topic. But it didn't seem to succeed much.

"Yes but, you didn't answer my question", the pinkett spy persistently points out, almost demanding an answer.

A few seconds later I go to open the back door for her and gestured her to get in, yet she didn't move. She looked at me, still waiting patiently for my answer.

"I'm fine, just waiting for what's to come", I finally answer her and see relief shine in her jade eyes. She then smiles and enters the taxi, might me following behind.

Third Person POV:

The ride was filled with silence and little conversations every now and then. The two agents were preparing their mind status with the alias information they were handed by their Hokage. This was going to be, as they both had pointed to be, something else.

Third Person POV:
Location: Unknown
Time: 9:34 am

Different orders were being shouted inside the enormous closed in area. People were building, putting together, and tipping. It was a busy place, busier than it would normally be. There was something being worked on, forcefully.

Can you guess what?

I'll give you a hint.

Fuel.
