Chapter Thirty-Two – BOOM! Awareness is your gift.  

"Chelsea! Oh Chelsea dear!!" I heard Gabriel's mother calling out to me. She was wearing professional wear; some flats and her hair look curly with lots of shine. She really was a beautiful woman I thought to myself as she came closer, "I was just heading over to my office," She said pointing to a nice sized building, there weren't any writing on the building indicating what type of work she did, "I'm a therapist/psychiatrist," probably realizing I was looking for a clue of what she did for a living.

"I was hoping I could speak to you for a moment," she half stated and asked unsure of her self and glancing at Jack. I guess we weren't the kill them with kindness type of people since we had moved here.

"We don't have to speak out here, we can go to my office its sound proof," she tried again.

What do you think? I asked Jack

It's up to you; I mean what will it hurt to listen to what she has to say he replied.

Yeah Chelsea, keep your friends close but your enemies closer... said Avena  

She isn't my enemy per se you guys I thought.

Yes but people in her pack are, she could give you more information... Avena responded

"Sure, I don't mind." I said and followed her across the street leaving Jack outside of the building probably giving Alex and Ray instructs to go to the other exit for her office.

Looking around her office it looked pretty minimalistic in terms of decorating schemes, but there was also a warm inviting feel to it.

 Basically the opposite of your entire life, house and personality said Aria.

Ignoring that comment I decided to do something instead of just talking to her, I wanted to know that she couldn't tell anyone what he we spoke about. "Do you have any openings? Something for right now specifically?" she seemed shock.

"Yes, I do I have one opening now, and another in 4 hours, which would you like?" she asked.

"Right now will be fine." I said handing her all I.D. to fill out the forms, payment and glancing over her privacy documents, and after that was out of the way we walked into her office she sat at a black chair while I sat across from her on a large sofa.

"So what did you want to speak about?" she asked but I just raised a brow

"No I didn't want to speak to you about something, I just wanted to make sure that anything we speak about, no matter what I say can't get back to your husband," I said watching as she stared at me.

When she realized that I wasn't joking she began, "I just wanted to have time to speak to you because I know you wont believe me but I have never agreed with the ways that our pack handled the situation with your mother."

"Rian was just so insecure at the time and Jay wanted to make her happy."

"Are you going to repeat the things that Gabriel already informed me of?" I asked wishing that I didn't have to hear this a second or third time.

"No, I wanted to explain my husbands behavior-" I didn't feel like this was a good thing.

"Your husband should take responsibility for his own actions, not you. I saw your face, you didn't look too happy that Maggie was coming to challenge me, but you did look like you knew Gabriel gave up the family business and Alpha." I said my voice pretty flat.

"I was happy that Gabriel gave it both up, you have to understand I am a mother and when I fell in love with George I didn't know of his shady dealings, by the time I found out I was already so in love with him that it didn't matter."

"It doesn't bother you that your husband, kills people, sells drugs and guns?"  I asked point blank.

"No all that does bother me, but you have to realize that to me he isn't that bad man, he doesn't treat me like he does those other people. It would have been the same way with Gabriel."

I found that funny, "That's not true, if I had forgiven Gabriel quickly you know he would have been fucking half of California behind my back, our wolves, pretty much trapped each other." She was shaking her head back and forth quickly.

"No dear, I'm his mother, he didn't love Maggie, even if she had his child Gabriel was going to look for his mate, he told me over and over again. He didn't care that Maggie was pregnant, he wanted to go, I'm the one that told him he should wait until after she gave birth. He wanted to find his mate; he did; even though Maggie and his child wouldn't be over to take over the business or pack. Maggie wasn't his true mate, any child they had together would be weaker than the child him and his true mate would have produced."

"So he's a cold uncaring bastard, then."

 Don't talk about our mate that way Aria said, while Avena was just agreeing.

"No, he just knew that any child with Maggie would bring problems between Rian's father and him, so he wanted his mate."

Resting my body back, I looked at her cocking my head to side I took a deep breath my eyes immediately focusing on her stomach... she was pregnant.

"I'm a few months along, a little girl." She said happily.

My eyes flashed to her face, her eyes were happy but off somehow.

I didn't want to invade her thoughts because I'm sure I knew what was wrong, she was thinking about Katie.

"Back on topic I did want to apologize, Gabriels' father is trying to protect this baby, protect me mostly, after Katie went missing I really was in a bad place because she was my little girl. Since Gabriel hasn't married Maggie her grandfather is going to be after our baby now," she explained catching my attention.

"So you're pregnant, which means people are supposed to give you gifts right?" I said and she looked at me weirdly.

"You don't have to give me anything dear, I just wanted to explain and thank you for being so mature about what Gabriel did." She said shocking me because he actually spoke to her and told her what he did.

"He did tell me... Gabriel can talk to me and know that what is said won't get back to his father."

Interesting, "Gabriel hadn't told me what happened exactly to Katie do you mind telling me?" I asked politely.

"Well, this is supposed to be your time..."

"I don't mind."

Timidly she spoke, "Rian was out with Katie and Jayda taking a walk and she was attacked by rogues, they beat her up and took Katie. She couldn't remember much and Jayda was so young as well, we went looking and following a trail all the way into Northern California until there wasn't a trail to follow." She finished sadly.

"That's all? It wasn't your individual pack that was attacked?" I asked curiously.

"No, well the werewolves that were managing that area were killed as well but Katie was taken..." she said sadly.

"I have a gift for you..."

"No, dear it's okay-" she started.

"No trust me," I began, and then continued after a small pause "when I was 9 years old I was given to a man, his name is Leo. Leo trained me, he began to show me how to be a good little girl, and he would make me watch videos while he beat me. In one video there was a man, his three children and wife. The kids must have been about 5 or 6, the man in the video looked just like me, I had his eyes. The man, would put the videos on, and tell me how much of a bad girl I was, and that the man in the video would never be like that with me." She gasped eyes wide but I kept on speaking, detaching myself from this story, yes it was mine but I didn't want to cry about things.

"On one of the videos the same family was with another family, on a boat called the Mina," she gasped but I continued.

"The man that looked like me, lifted up one of his daughters and threw her into the water, jokingly of course and when he went to throw his second daughter in, his son came to help defend her, shouting, 'throw me in instead,' and somewhere someone was giggling."

"The man that had me, made me watch as he whipped me and he did it so often, whipping me with a belt, an actual whip, canes, different things... but what always changed were he had various videos of this same exact family." I said watching her, her eyes teary. Getting up I began to take off my shirt, I turned around showing her my back. I heard her gasp, turning back to face her I could see the tears brimming over, but this was a gift for her.

A gift of awareness, "the man, Leo that tried to train me, did that to me while I watched the man with my eyes, treat his children with so much love, love that I couldn't get because Leo said I was a bad girl. That this family hadn't wanted me, would never want me just like the other families. The night he did that to my back he put me in a type of masseur chair, face down, tied my limbs put a screen underneath my face and beat me, then took knives down my back all while I watched some home movies."

"Oh..." she started but couldn't finish.

I put my shirt back on, "when I met Ames, Maggie, Madeline, Audrey, Jay and Rian and I ran out of the room throwing up, it wasn't because of nerves it was because Ames looks like the man, Leo that abused me from the time I was 9 until I was 11 years old."

"Although I guess he should look like him considering Leo is Ames uncle, Rian's brother... knowing that I had a twin that was a surprise but seeing them, that wasn't the first time I saw them. I saw them in videos, family videos. Now, how do you suppose that Rian's brother ended up with those videos? The ones he had me watch while he nearly beat me to death? The same videos he would make me watch, while he made me count the number of times he hit me? Having to not pass out because it only made it worse?" still not giving her an opportunity to speak, not that she could she seemed to be in shock of what she was saying.

"Gabriel said that Rian had to give up her family completely right, because she chose Jay? Yet her brother had videos of them? Home videos of them sailing, not the surveillance type... Gabriel said that she didn't know about werewolves?" I asked then answered.

"Leo, her brother... said I was his mate, he killed my father and is still after me now."

I could see the wheels turning in her head, but not quick enough... "What was Rian doing near the pack lines that day? I mean if she was still in contact with her family, of course they wouldn't take Jayda, she's a blood relative, but Katie wasn't."

The look of horror on her face, made me realize she understood what I was saying.... "This information is my gift to you, awareness... I might be wrong but all you need to know is that the night you all came over wasn't the first time I saw them, I had before in videos that no one should have had besides family."

I didn't need to look into her thoughts to even know that she was reevaluating every single thing she thought about Rian, about the time Katie went missing, everything was not as it should be with what I revealed to her.

"Does Gabriel know this?" she choked out, swallowing the lump in her throat loudly.

"He never gave me a chance, I want nothing to do with your pack for a reason. I can't live among people that when I see their face, the scars on my back physically hurt me. I shouldn't have to be reminded of the torture and training I went through when I see Ames. It's not his fault, but when I see him, I'm sick to my stomach. Being around them, any of them makes my skin crawl and I don't trust any of you because if Rian gave up her family for Jay, for your husbands family and pack, answer me this... how could I have seen those videos, those personal videos when I was a child?" I said and got up. I knew I had done the right thing, it was a therapy session she couldn't legally tell anyone what I revealed, but she could keep her eyes open.

I didn't even bother to speak to her, I picked up her card and wrote my cell phone number on the back, placed it on the table and walked out of her office to be greeted by a bored looking Jack.

Now that I had given her something, something I believe could help her keep this daughter safe, I was itching to get home to Ava.

I do this every ten chapters to catch everyone up incase anyone is confused... Honestly I know my writing is not the best so I don't mind doing these.

Twice Audrey shot Jamie; in the hospital Chelsea reads Rians mind as well as her biological father.

Casey is mated to Ava who was Nika, Gabe's pet wolf.

Everyone finds out that Chelsea is a white wolf but they don't know any of her other secrets.

Everyone finds out that she was adopted when she was 11 and not like a baby.

Sam has been a pain in the A$$ instigating all kinds of trouble, even Molly Jamie's brother ripped him a new one.

Gabriel is starting to act like a good mate, he went to his fathers place and confronted him, plus let everyone know his fathers plan.

Chelsea runs into Gabe's mom, who is a therapist and learns she is pregnant with a daughter; Chelsea makes this talk happen as a session, so that legally Mina, Gabriel's mom couldn't tell anyone. She's well aware that Mina could or will tell someone, but she just didn't want the same thing to happen twice.

I did not pick a cast but if you check earlier postings for this story or the facebook account I have linked for this story you will be able to see who I pictured, but I left the casts blank so people could use their imaginations, HOWEVER for those that want to see you can just go back and check.

This chapter to the left has a picture of Ava or how I picture Ava in my head... in terms of size and some physical features.
