The following months after the incident Mikage and Kathryn grew in their friendship and understanding of one another. Mikage was careful with the language he used to describe humanity as he still held a small grudge to them though after meeting his dear friend he softened his opinions a lot.

Finally, it came time for Kathryn to head into the spirit forest to gain her spirit and surprise! Surprise! Who showed up! It was as many of you would guess - Mikage.

Thus, he had not only become her best friend but also her guardian spirit.

"Thanks, Mika!" Kathryn thanked him.

"As I've said it's no problem. Let's just carry on which high school do you wanna attend, you've got several offers!"
