Many months later
Over these past months, life has been pretty smooth for our main characters. Relationships have bloomed, decisions have been made, and jobs have been accepted. Most importantly, the seniors have been out of school for a couple days and were ready to take on the world as real adults. Well, not exactly ready. They still had one milestone to go.
Graduation.
But before we get into that, each character has changed in some sort of way over the months, let's catch up.
For Seokjin, he's been spending more time with Namjoon. The younger continued to take him out on dates til he finally asked Jin to be his boyfriend. Jin, of course, said yes and now they're almost inseparable. Jin is thankful for having Namjoon since the man gives him something to do other than worrying over Jimin. Technically, it's his job to watch over Jimin, but he treats it as raising his son. Sometimes a break from parenthood is needed, to remind yourself who you are apart from a family. Namjoon brought that out of Seokjin, he made him smile more, he got out of the house more, and made him happier.
Jimin was thankful that his hyung had someone now, he didn't have to worry about him. Also, Jin going out more resulted in Jimin hanging out with Hoseok and Yoongi more.
Hoseok had gotten tired of always being dragged along with Jimin so that he didn't have to be alone with Yoongi, but he finally told the younger that he had to be alone with him if they were to date, and that helped Jimin realize that he needed to spend more time with Yoongi so that the elder really got to know who Jimin was. Hoseok stopped hanging out with them all the time and whenever Yoongi would ask about him, Jimin told him he was practicing dance. Which he was. He figured that if he didn't hang with his friends he might as well do something useful and beneficial to his future.
Yoongi was confused when Hoseok stopped hanging out with them, it was only a couple of times but it felt weird for it to only be him and Jimin. He did learn a lot about Jimin though, a lot of which he liked. He could tell Jimin would be someone he would be with for a long time.
However, he got used to it being just him and Jimin sometimes. When Hoseok was "busy," they mostly ate after school before studying together, something they would do if Hoseok was there or not. Nothing really changed, until Jimin asked the elder for skateboard lessons. Every Thursday and Saturday, the two would goof off at the skating park while Yoongi taught Jimin how to ride. He wasn't exactly balanced at first but he quickly got the hang of it. It even prompted him to buy a skateboard of his own (with Seokjins money.) Between the newly found alone time spent together and the skateboard lessons, the two have gotten closer.
Jimin could barely keep his feelings to himself these days. Everything that Yoongi does is just so perfect to him. His free expression while he skates, how focused he is while studying, or even the way he silently passes Jimin a water bottle when the male hadn't even asked for it yet. Jimin felt like Yoongi knew him so well, and vice versa, that they would make a great couple, but the elder had yet to ask him out, so Jimin didnt really know where he stood.
Right now, Jimin physically stood in the line of students around him who's last names were Park, his row of seats was next to walk the stage after the row ahead.
Graduation is a day that many people are proud of being able to accomplish. At 17-18 years old, these students are finally done with the first chapter of their lives; primary education. The next step is college, where they are sent to learn how to live on their own in a world their parents hope they rightly prepared their child for and also to study a topic that would affect their entire career going forward.
Seokjin told Jimin about applying him to Busan National months ago. Jimin was, of course, upset but soon realized that it's just a backup plan. He doesn't even need to go if he gets sent back home by the end of summer. It's mostly so that he's not bored at home waiting for the guards to come out of the water and return him to his parents.
Jimin is honestly tired of waiting, but what can he do? Nothing except stand in this line that moves up one by one and wait for his name to be called.
Wait...wait...wait. Jimins life revolves around him having to wait for things to come to him. The guards, his kingdom, his birthrights. He's tired of waiting. He can't control when the guards come, when he gets coronated, or when he gets to see his parents, but he does have control over one thing. His actions.
Waiting in the line to get his diploma gave Jimin time to think. He doesn't know how long he has left on land, or if he'll ever go back under the sea. So he has to seize the moment right? Take control of the one thing he can and tell Yoongi his feelings. Right?
This summer will sure be boring if it stays the same as the school year. Telling Yoongi how he feels can go 3 ways. 1. The elder would accept Jimins feelings. 2. The elder would decline Jimins feelings but stay friends. Or 3. Yoongi would end their friendship, and if Jimin is being honest, that's a scary chance but he has Hoseok to lean on if it goes wrong.
Then the decision has been made. And right on time too.
"Park Jimin."
As his name was called, he walked up the stairs into the stage as people cheered for him. He took the diploma from the principal and shook her hand with a smile. He did the same to the vice principals on the stage as well and he walked across the stage and down the other flight of stairs, back to his seat with the other Parks.

"We did it!" Hoseok celebrated as he hugged Jimin when they met outside the arena where the ceremony was held. Jimin hugged his best friend back tightly as he laughed with him.
"We're free!" Jimin smiled as they broke away.
"Not exactly," Hoseok mentioned, "We're going from one prison to another." He had a point, but Jimin just laughed it off.
"At least this time we'll have some sort of freedom."
"But with more work." Hoseok pouted, which lead Jimin to follow.
"We have a whole summer! Don't kill my mood already!" The youngest playfully slapped Hoseoks arm.
"Hey guys!" Yoongi exclaimed as he finally found his friends. He quickly came close to lightly hug the two.
"Wow. The Min Yoongi is giving us hugs? Jimin, what did we ever do to deserve this?" Hoseok joked, earning a light slap from Yoongi.
"Oh be quiet!" He chuckled. "Who wants to celebrate? Dinner at The Min's? I have a reservation for the whole place all night!"
"Thats because you own it." Jimin laughed. That's right, Yoongi's family owns a restaurant, and it's quite popular. A lot of people would have made reservations for after the graduation had Yoongi not asked to have the place all to themselves.
"Whatever. Are you guys down?" He asked one more time, hoping they'd say yes and not make him have to tell his mom that they closed the restaurant that day for nothing.
"Sure, let me go get my family."
The Jungs, the Mins, and Jimin, Seokjin, and Namjoon headed off to the latter's restaurant to celebrate their 3 newly graduated men. They all sat around various tables while Yoongis parents and older brother went straight to the kitchen to begin dinner.
Hoseoks family already knew Jimins, so they all casually conversed while dinner was being made. Yoongi fit right into the conversation, adding his two cents whenever needed.
Jimin was so happy in this moment that he almost forgot his plan for the evening. He was about to speak before the food came in and everyone was entranced by the delicious smells coming out from the kitchen. So he held in his words for later.
After dinner, Yoongi stood up and walked over to the speakers to hook up his phone.
"Everyone?" He already had attention when he stood up, but now he had gotten everyone's attention. "Due to this being the end to a very long chapter in our lives, I've written a song and it would be great of you all listened to it." He clicked on the track and went back to sit down.
(I like this version better than suran I'm sorry don't kill me xD)
The song warmed all of their hearts. Hoseoks mom especially.
"Yoongi, that song was amazing! How long have you been writing?" She asked enthusiastically.
"Since I was 13." He smiled shyly.
"Wow. Are you planning on majoring in Music Production?"
"Yes, I am actually."
"Well, I work at Bighit Entertainment. If you ever need anything, don't be afraid to call. We'd be delighted to help nurture young talent like yourself." She smiled sweetly at him. Yoongi smiled back before quickly looking over to Hoseok, who didn't look as impressed as his mother did.
"Thank you." His mother spoke up. They began to start a conversation of their own about Yoongi and his music. This gave Jimin a chance.
"Hey, follow me." He whispered to Yoongi, who was confused as to why the younger was whispering. He just did what Jimin told him.
Jimin tried to walk out of the restaurant without anyone noticing, but his very observant friend took notice of his departure and Yoongi's. He was confused but ultimately chuckled when he realized what Jimin might have to speak to Yoongi alone for.
Jimin made it outside the restaurant and continued walking to the parking lot in case anyone else would overhear what he was going to say. He stopped in front of his car before turning around to face Yoongi who was waiting in silence for whatever Jimin was going to say.
"So? What did you want to talk about?" He asked. Jimin diverted his eyes from the elder and took a deep breath. He returned his gaze before speaking.
"I've been meaning to tell you this for a while now, and I have no idea how you're gonna take it." He started off slowly. He saw the confusion in Yoongis eyes and hoped that he would understand in the end, or else this would be for nothing. "Since before I knew you like I do now, I kinda had a crush on you." Yoongi was shocked, he knew Jimin was acting weird when they met, but he thought it was due to him almost being run over by a skateboard.
"And I still do..." Jimin confessed. His heart was beating hard against his chest. His nerves were all over the place. "I just wanted you to know that." The silence that came from Yoongi scared Jimin. He was afraid of rejection. "Ok bye." He tried to walk back to the restaurant, but Yoongi stopped him.
"Wait wait wait. You have a crush on me? And you were about to just walk away after telling me?" Yoongi chuckled, which confused the younger because he didn't find the situation funny at all.
"Why are you laughing? It's not funny!" He complained, his cheeks heating up and his eyes watering.
"Its funny because you wanted to tell me without getting a response back."
"Maybe I didn't want to hear a bad response." Jimin mumbled.
"And maybe my response would've been this.." He took hold of Jimins left hand and looked the smaller boy in the face. "Jimin, will you go out with me?"
Jimin blushed. He couldn't believe it! His crush of a year just asked him out!
"Seriously?" He questioned and Yoongi answered with a nod.
"Of course." He smiled. He smiled so wide that Yoongi had to smile too.
Jimin giggled before covering his face with his hands. "I can't believe it."
"Well you better. This summer just got a whole lot better."
