Somewhere in the middle of the Pacific ocean, far off from the shores, was a deep valley. Thousands of mer, male and female, scattered this area, prepared to fight to the death for their cause.
On one side was the royal kingdom, wearing their armor that consisted of helmets and shields donned with the crest of the royal family. Their faces were painted with the kingdom's colors, turquoise and purple, made from the residue of colored shells mixed with mud. They held their spears and swords in pride to defend their home, sneering at the group of dangerous mer across from them.
The other side consisted of the said mer lead by Kim Chungha, who took her place in front of her warriors with a spear in her hand, fighting to end the kingdom's monarchy. They also wore armor but they wore black face paint to show their defiance against the kingdom of Azharei.
Every individual had their own weapon, whether it be spears or short daggers made of shark teeth, they were each prepared.
Including the king, who lead his people with his trident, which was passed down from his father and past generations.
Next to the king was his wife, the general, and his son, Jungkook, who were each ready to battle for Jimin as well. Jin was positioned with the mages, who were prepared to cast spells on the rebels for extra defense.
Chungha sighed, clearly not impressed by the royal guard. She was confident in her people.
"Oh, I'm sorry. Are you bored? Do you wanna get this over with by telling me where my son is?!" Boyoung yelled out to her sister, who she thought was dead all this time. She really didn't know she was alive. Boyoung never thought that her sister would've survived out in the gigantic ocean all alone.
"Bored? Oh please! I'm just imagining how quick it'll be to take you guys down!" Chungha responded. She truly hated her sister. In her time of banishment, she realized that all of her misery was Boyoung's fault, and those thoughts manifested into her grand plan: destroying her sister and everyone she loves. "We've been preparing for this day."
"Well, prepare for all of that time to go to waste, because we're not losing this battle!" The queen then yelled a battle cry and the hundreds of mer behind her also cheered, raising their weapons to express their loyalty.
"CHARGE!" The general, Jungkook's father, yelled out, pointing his thin sword in the direction of the rebels, causing the hundreds of royal guard to swim towards Chungha's army, who also swam ahead to fight.
The beautiful leader sneered as she held up her spear, charging towards her opponents with a battle cry of their own.

His eyes opened in panic.
He didn't know where he was.
He looked at his arms one at a time, trying to pull them but they were locked securely to the ground by braided kelp.
His tail was free, but he knew that the kelp wouldn't be that easy to tear through if they left his tail free to roam.
He let out a muffled sob through the seaweed that was also tied around his face, silencing his cries. He could only hope for someone, anyone, to save him.
He wondered about his parents, if they were okay. Jin? Jungkook? He hoped they were safe, he wouldn't know what he would do if someone got hurt because of him.
He quickly calmed himself down, taking a couple breaths and reminding himself that he can get through this, he just had to think clearly.
Taking note of his surroundings, he noticed that he was in some sort of wooden vessel. A ship, he concluded, he's in a sunken ship. A wooden door with a circular window was a couple feet away from him and he sighed seeing a possible way out.
He just had to figure out how to get out of the cuffs of kelp.

Swords and spears clashed against eachother. The sound of war could be heard miles out by various sea creatures who were trying to mind their own business and go about their days. Mages cast spells on eachother and regular mer to distract them from the battle.
Daggers impaled flesh. Swords cut off limbs.
Chungha's head guard, Sunghoon, took it upon himself to fight the king one on one, his spear clashing against the metal of the trident.
"Where's my son?!" The king yelled furiously.
"Your son? We've already killed him!" He mocked, flashing crazy eyes at the king.
Hyungsik felt a surge of anger course through his veins. He yelled once more as he lifted the trident and swung at Sunghoon. The said guard blocked the trident with his spear, pushing the trident away from him.
The king, angered by this mer, had finally had enough. He spun around and knocked Sunghoon over with his tail, bringing the trident and stabbing it into the long haired male's chest, making him cry out.
"F-For the revolution," he sputtered, blood leaving his body and circling in the ocean water. The king pulled his trident out of the dying mer's chest and swam away to look for Jimin, barely hearing the blood-curdling scream of the mer who saw her love drifting towards the ocean floor.
"Sunghoon!" Chungha yelled as she swam up to the male, who was in and out of consciousness. She caught him and struggled to hold them both up in the water. "N-No! Sunghoon! I told you you shouldn't've fought!"
"D-Don't worry about m-me, okay? Don't give up...k-keep g-g-going..."
"S-Sunghoon..." the brave leader cried.
"Ssshhh...I a-always told you...you look great in a c-crown..." he started as he caressed the leader's face. "Go get your throne." He encouraged, smiling at his love before slowly shutting his eyes and becoming limp.
The blonde with the beautiful orca like tail whimpered, watching the love of her life's life source drift away right in front of her. Her mourning turned to rage as she cried over Sunghoon's body. She gently lowered herself to the ocean floor and laid the mer's heavy body to the ground, swearing to come back for him later. Chungha looked over and saw the male's spear laying in the dust, she picked it up with only one thought in mind.
They must pay.

Jimin almost shakes the seaweed off of one of his hands when he hears grunting coming from beyond the rusted door in front of him. He can't see much but he sees flashes of mer being attacked but 3 others dressed in the kingdom colors.
I'm saved! He thought in his head, excited that he was found and he could be free.
The grunting stopped and Jimin was confused when he didn't hear any noise come from behind the door. So he started grunting as loud as he could with the gag in his mouth.
The door opened with little difficulty and his father, the king, showed up. As soon as he saw Jimin he relaxed his tense shoulders and let out a huff of air.
"Son!" He almost cried.
Jimin wanted to reply.
But everything happened so fast.
After Hyungsik's word, Jimin couldn't even blink before he saw a spear emerge from his father's chest, making him cry out in fear.
He fell to the ground as the spear was pulled out of him, revealing Chungha looking down at the king with homicidal rage.
Jimin struggled against the restraints as he tried so desperately to aid his father as he laid on the floor, swirls of blood floating around him.
"Its okay, Jimin," his aunt spoke, looking between him and Hyungsik. "He wasn't much of a father to you anyway, was he?"
Jimin couldn't reply nor take his eyes off of his dying father. He couldn't cry, but if he could, he would be right now.
"He had to die, Jimin," Chungha spoke up again. "Just like you have too, just like your mom has too." She added in a low voice.
Jimin slowly trailed his eyes from his still father over to his blonde aunt. Anger pulsing through his veins as he heavily breathed in and out. He could feel something brewing in hin, but he didn't know what. Chungha curiously looked over the boy she tortured, getting confused when Jimin let out groans.
"You know, I was gonna kill you in front of your mother but...what's the harm in doing it now?" She smiled as she raised her spear.
However, Jimin continued to breathe heavily and felt like something was trying to emerge from his body. The pain was too much to handle.
Chungha aimed her spear for Jimin's heart, but was interrupted when the boy screamed.
His body convulsed as a wave of energy emerged from him in a bright blue light, knocking the wannabe queen into the wall of the ship. Multiple waves expelled themselves from Jimin's body, breaking the kelp restraints and freeing the boy.
He dropped to the floor of the ship, gasping for oxygen before realizing that his respiratory system didn't work that way underwater. He calmed himself down before slowly looking up and noticing Chungha lying across the room, her blonde hair covering her head. He turned his head and scurried over to his father, who lay still on the ship's floor.
Jimin really felt like crying.
He placed his head on his father's body, sobbing despite his lack of tears.
He glanced up and saw something gleam a couple inches away from him: his father's trident. Jimin picked it up and placed it onto his father's chest, crossing his arms around the weapon. He bowed and prayed.
And the dust settled against the ocean floor like it was never disturbed.

"Are you ready?" Boyoung asked as she swam up to Jimin who was looking outside from the balcony of his room.
"As ready as I'll ever be," he glumly answered, following his mother to the amphitheater, where general announcements were made. But this was no general announcement, no this was his coronation.
He stood in front of the amphitheater entrance as he was introduced by the herald on stage. When his name was called, a daechwita started playing from the seahorse orchestra and he began to enter the open area, barely hearing the cheers from the crowd.
He made his way to the stage and swam up, approaching his mother who had a maid standing behind her.
One of the royal advisors, who were a group of wise female mer, recited the ceremony from memory and had Jimin repeat some statements.
After the vows, she motioned over to the maid behind Boyoung, who carried a crown.
His father's crown.
Jimin gulped slowly as he lowered himself in front of the advisor, who took the crown to place onto the youngster's head.
He wasn't gonna lie, it was pretty heavy.
After the crown was placed on Jimin's head, the advisor then motioned over to Boyoung who presented to Jimin the weapon of which he placed over his father's body just 2 days ago.
The trident.
He reached out to take it with shaky hands, looking his mother in the eyes with fear.
"He would be so proud of you, Jimin," she spoke, calming her son down with her words. He nodded in response and held the trident with confidence before turning to face his people.
They clapped. They cheered. They sang the ancient mer coronation ceremony song and celebrated.
But Jimin couldn't celebrate.
Not even as he saw Jin and Jungkook clapping and looking so proud of him from the first row.
He just couldn't.
There was only one thought he had in mind.
"They will pay."
