Jimin, Jungkook, Sungjin, and Jin were standing by the beach. It was time for Jimin and Jungkook to leave. They all stood far away from the water to prevent any accidents that could possibly happen and expose them.

Jungkook hugged Sungjin tight. Even if he wasnt above land for long, he became attached to his hyung who seemed like a real brother to him. Sungjin would come back, but he made so many friends above land that he would miss. He didn't have many friends underwater, since he was always stuck doing work in the castle. He said he would visit though.

Jimin also embraced Jin, who didnt seem like a brother to Jimin, but a mother. Jin basically raised him through his teenage years. During the time of his life where he needed the most guidance, Jin was there. During his graduations, Jin was there. During finding out that he was gay, Jin was there. It would be hard to live life without the older.

After saying their goodbyes, Jimin and Jungkook walked through the tunnel of the cave they found and looked into the pool.

"This is it." Jimin spoke.

"Itll be a long swim." Jungkook said.

They looked up at one another before attaching hands and jumping into the pool.

Their legs changed into tails and their clothes disappeared off of their bodies. Their lungs stretched wider to hold more oxygen underwater.

Jimin broke the surface first, he didnt need to but he wanted to look around one last time.

Goodbye

He thought before Jungkook joined him.

"Whats wrong?"

"I'm just gonna miss it here." Jimin answered quietly.

"I understand, it took me a while to leave the kingdom before coming here. But, we have to go. By the time we get to Flounder's Way it'll be dark."

"Ok."

Jungkook disappeared under the water and swam through the opening, Jimin watched him and then looked around the cave one more time before following the younger male to the depths of the ocean.

Up and down were their tails as they swam through the deep. The light from the sun, bounced off of their scales, created a flash of light when they move. Their hands intertwined together while they swam. It was a beautiful picture, the two mermen swimming with their tails in sync.

"Lets stay at a reef for the night." Jungkook spoke when he saw the light dimming. "It's getting dark and we won't be able to swim far we're tired tomorrow."

"Ok. Jimin answered and looked around. He saw a pattern of small purple shells leading somewhere. That is the path they need to take to get to the nearest coral reef. Merpeople usually place purple shells to show where coral reefs are, green are for finding kingdoms, and blue are for going to land. They've been following the green path so far.

"Come on, the purple shells are this way." Jimin pointed. He pulled Jungkook along and soon arrived at the coral reef. There was a little dip in the ground near the reef for merpeople who were travelling to rest in. The dip was separated by sections and each section could hold 4 mer, so they were pretty big.

Jimin and Jungkook saw maybe one or two other groups in some sections as they swam over them. They selected an empty section and went to lay down. Colorful and soft sea anemones littered the hole as a cushion for the mer. They acted as a mattress. It didnt shock them because the skin and scales of a mermaid is covered by a light microscopic mucus that protects them from the sting of an anemone.

They laid next to each other and stared into eachother's eyes.

"How do you feel?" Jungkook murmured to the older shifting into a more comfortable position. He stared into the sparkly chocolate brown orbs of Jimin's while placing his hand on the anemone between them.

"Good. At least for now. I am sad about leaving obviously, but I have a duty to uphold." He answered placing his hand over Jungkook's. "I'm glad you're with me. I wouldn't rather have anyone else accompany me home." Jimin smiled showing his eye smile.

"I'm glad to be accompanying you, your highness."

"Oh stop!" Jimin blushed and giggled while lightly hitting Jungkook on the shoulder.

"Awww hyung, are you blushing?" The younger asked teasingly.

"Shut uppp~" he whined with a smile.

"Aww, you are!" Jungkook teased again while caressing the olders cheek, causing Jimin to gravitate closer to him.

"So what if I am?"

"You're too cute hyung."

"I know." Jimin answered cutely. A silence fell over them like a blanket. The two mer stared into eachother's eyes, each memorized by the sparkle they saw in the orbs.

Jimin all of a sudden closed his eyes to troll the younger and Jungkook whined.

"Hyung~, dont go to sleep yet. I wanna stare at you more." He pouted in a childish manner.

"Jungkook!" The older giggled. "That's creepy!"

"I dont care, I love your eyes." He said sweetly. "Come closer." He pulled Jimin to lay on his chest and sighed.

"Thats better." He huffed, Jimin giggled at him. Their naked chests touched eachother as Jimin wrapped his arms around Jungkook and the younger rested his arm under Jimins neck.

Jimin sighed in contentment. There's no place he'd rather be, land or sea, as long as he's with Jungkook, he'd be fine.

He looked up to see the younger already looking at him and when Jungkook caught his gaze, he puckered his lips multiple times. Jimin chuckled and leaned up to place a small kiss on Jungkook's lips. The said male whined again because of how short it was.

"Youre so ungrateful." Jimin joked before leaning up to place a 3 second kiss on Jungkook's lips. "Is that good?" He asked. The younger cutely shook his head no and puckered his lips again. This time as Jimin was lowering himself, Jungkook flipped them over causing him to hover over the older and make a straight b-line to his mouth. He caressed the bottom's tail as he kissed him, feeling the texture of the scales that littered the tail.

The kiss was slow and sweet, as always with these two. Jungkook's hand moved in time with his lips, making sure not to over do it.

He pulled away slightly for breath and leaned his forehead on Jimins. He didnt get much air before Jimin pulled him back down slightly faster. With both arms around Jungkook's neck, Jimin passionately kissed the boy. They might not have said I love you yet but it shows in the kiss, the passion that they both have for eachother is something that only they don't take note of.

Jimin was again laying on Jungkook's chest drawing invisible designs on the younger's skin. He drew little hearts that made Jungkook smile when he felt them.

"I never thought we would be together." The oldest confessed. "I always thought that you would forget me and I'd come back to no friends. I never would've imagined coming back home with a boyfriend." He looked up to the younger and smiled.

"I didnt expect for you to return my feelings. I thought that I would go on land and retrieve you and then bring you back as a friend. I'm glad we're together." Jimin smiled again and leaned up to place another kiss on the younger.

"You're so kissy today." Jungkook teased.

"Is that a bad thing?" Jimin asked tilting his head.

"No, not at all."

"I really like you Jungkook."

"I really like you too, hyung."

And they hugged eachother into a peaceful sleep for the night.
