I woke up to the sweet sound of birds harmonizing with each other, the noises of cars passing by, the suns rays of sunshine hitting me on my back as I lie on the cold floor of Room C imagining it to be prickly grass beneath my body.

Nature is beautiful thing.

Today was the day I made my sweet escape to paradise :)

Just then as I began to think of ways to escape still keeping my eyes shut, I heard a buzz at my door.

It was John,

Now in his mid 30's, John came up to me slowly thinking I was still sleeping, he lightly tapped me on my shoulder.

"Hey, I heard what happened yesterday. You doing okay?"

I opened my eyes and noticed John had bent down on the ground to talk to me face to face.

I also noticed him holding something behind his back.

"John!"

I quickly got up and hugged him, and he gave me a reassuring hug back.

"Any BIG plans for the birthday girl this year?"

"Unfortunately no, but I did figure out something to do!"

I wasn't too sure if I should tell John about my plans to escape or make up something.

Maybe I should lay low...

"What?"

"Maybe I could move back to my room for my birthday?" I said jokingly

We both laughed, John ended his laugh with a smile, his smile was all I needed to make me feel better.

"I brought you something for your birthday week!"

"What?"

"Well, I first stopped at Starbucks down the street and bought you a Red Velvet Frapp. And then realized that's not enough! So I stopped at the store and found this"

He took a white box out of his bag that he was holding behind his back and gave it to me.

I opened it wondering what could possibly in it, keys? a ring? earrings?

It was a charm bracelet, It had my birthstone as the first charm and a snowflake another charm!

"Oh wow, John! You don't know how much this means to me! Thank you so much, for everything, I love it!! Thank you for being the father figure in my life, you've been there with me through everything. I love you John. Your like a second dad to me I am just-"

tears began to stroll down my face.

"I'm just so thankful John that you're here with me"

"Aww, Thanks Sweethart. I look at you as my daughter too, a daughter any dad could ask for."

My tears began to flow down my face all at once.

I missed moments with my dad like this one.

John wiped the tears off my face

"I gotta ask you for some advice"

I wiped the last bit of tears strolling off my face and acted serious

"Okay, shoot"

"You know Becky, the girl I've been dating for two years."

"Yeah! She's really pretty! Your lucky to have her as your girlfriend, and she's one lucky girl!!"

"Well, I think I want to ask her to marry me."

I got up from where I was sitting, aware of the chains limiting me from my movements.

"YES, JOHN, YES!!! This is great!! Marry her! If you see a future with Becky and love her with all of your heart and would sacrifice anything just to be with her then... GO FOR IT!Oh my gosh, this is, wow, WORDS CAN'T EXPLAIN JOHN!! Don't waste your time here with me, go find your future bride a ring!!"

"Really? Do you think she'll say yes?"

"Who wouldn't?"

John laughed and smirked.

"Alright, I'll go ring hunting"

John began to walk towards the door and I realized I COMPLETELY forgot to tell him something!

"JOHN! Wait!"

"Yeah?"

"Don't forget, the ring should be classy, and very very sparkly. Girls like sparkly things, AND don't forget to come and show me the ring when you buy it!"

"Haha, Ok, I'll keep that in mind"

John left, making the room feel empty and filled with less positive energy then it had before.

Now I wasn't sure if I should leave anymore, I would leave John behind, and wouldn't know what would happen with his proposal.

I had to go, If I wanted to see the outside world.

But I couldn't leave John behind.

Ughhhh, why was this so hard?!

After hours of thinking about what I should do with my life I decided to leave.

It was a tough choice but decided to write to John to keep in touch with him.

It was almost 12 in the afternoon so I had to make a plan quick before lunch would be brought to me at 1.

Finally I remembered a technique/ power I had that Louis Vanteen taught me awhile ago at testings.

Louis said it was just for "self defense" and not to use it on anything or anyone else...

Trust me, it was not a self defense technique/power, it was more of a superhero power I could use to save people or even save myself!

But I had to try it on these handcuffs.

First, I closed my eyes and began to think about my handcuffs becoming undone by themselves and me being set free.

I looked down at my hands and wrists to see if they came undone,

nope,

neither handcuff was broken or uncuffed from my hands.

Then I began to think about it harder and harder until I actually believed from my imagination that it was actually happening until...

*SNAP* *SNAP*

I looked down and saw both handcuffs were detached from my wrists!!!

My next idea was to try the windows,

maybe thinking about a the windows breaking sort of.. quietly... was that possible?!

I attempted to think about it the same way I thought about the handcuffs.

I continued to stand there infront of the window thinking about it breaking.

And before I knew it,

It broke!!

All the glass shattered everywhere on the floor, but

it didn't make the most quietest sound...

I heard the guards yelling from outside my door

"SHE'S GETTING AWAY!!"

"CALL FOR BACKUP"

Oh no, this was NOT good and was NOT according to my plan!

I quickly ran across the glass with my old pair of dirty white converse shoes on and remembered...

I HAVE ICE POWERS!

If I used my ice powers to freeze the door, I could use it to buy me some more time!!

I put my hands out facing the door and out came ice shooting from both my hands freezing the door.

I then headed towards the window, hearing the guards slamming their bodies against the frosted door

*BOOM* *BOOM* *BOOM*

each slam only getting louder by the minute.

I was getting ready to jump out realizing I was on 3 stories up off the ground, I couldn't risk breaking a bone,

Not when I was getting ready to make my big escape from this building.

I imagined a rope beneath me, allowing me a way to get out of here safely, just then

*POOF*

A ROPE!

I went down the rope smoothly and fast.

I looked down and saw everything passing by me...

I passed the 3rd story

now 1st.

I hopped of the rope and looked above me hearing a familar voice screaming at me

It was Wendy.

"Get BACK IN HERE NOW YOUNG LADY OR I WILL!"

How did they get past the frozen door so quickly?

I didn't have much time to sit and ponder about that.

I looked to my left and right and then chose my right and ran down a large narrow valley.

I ran faster and faster, and didn't stop.

I ran another 2 miles until I heard police sirens.

Wendy must've called the police.

GREAT!

I turned a corner and realized there was a street that led to the city, I ran down it, faster, and faster.

I eventually made it.

But didn't stop running.

I heard the police sirens come nearer and nearer to me.

I decided where ever I saw the first store thats where I would hide.

I continued to run until I saw a family friendly shop,

I looked both ways to see if any police were coming.

None in sight, just the sound of sirens

I ran inside.
