I roamed into the lighten up street that Keiichi texted.

I couldn't bear myself mooched around the street, as the lights gave way for a warm and welcoming atmosphere to visitors.

Eventually, I paused my mooching at this cafe, I shoot my eyes to the open cafe appearing to my sight is Keiichi and Nanami.

They were situated at the cafe chairs enjoying their time while waiting for me. It was a surprise that she was wearing a blue kimono, she used to hate wearing a kimono back in Elem. Now she looks like a model.

I stepped into the cafe pulling the door outwards, moving in towards their table.

"There you guys are" greeting them by surprise.

They rotated their heads to mine following the voice that echoed between us.

He opened his mouth answering back "Hey Itsuki" then plopping his elbow onto the table, while his fists meet with his right cheek.

"Itsuki, have a seat" She lifted her body, dragging along the seat line, then sitting onto the other end of the seat.

I stepped my left foot, then dragged myself onto the seat carefully. His eyes followed along changing the position from the left to the front still his fists supporting the right cheek.

"So where are the others?" I asked.

She pulled out her phone from her left pocket, opening it flashing a blue light onto her eyes creating a shiny effect. Her fingers were moving simultaneously based on her finger movement, she is going app to app.

"They are still far" She announced still holding the phone onto her left palm, squeezing it like a sponge.

"How far?" I asked again.

"Right here" Both familiar voices jumped me, Keiichi quits his position from earlier and was replaced with crossing his arms.

I and Nanami slowly rotated our heads shooting our eyes onto the speakers behind us.

"You guys ready?" Kouki and Yuuna questioned sweetly and with warm.

Yuuna is also wearing the kimono, its color is purple also the same as Nanami's. Kouki attire was his typical outing outfit consisting of male shorts, a T-shirt, and a backpack.

"Yup," Keiichi replied back.

"Let's go" I added.

I, Nanami, and Keiichi dragged our bodies out of the table, standing still in front of the beautiful couple. Soon we marched to the festival going street to street and eventually, we made to our destination.

There were a lot of people in the park where the summer festival is taking place.

My palms squeezed my phone tight preventing its fall to the brick ground, I used my index finger to open the 'Text it' app. My index finger pressed Emi's beautiful profile picture. I wasn't paying attention to my friends behind me talking about something, as I am only interested in talking to Emi.

"Hey, Emi-san where are you guys?" My thumbs pressed the digital keyboard, my right thumb pressed send after finishing the sentence.

Soon as I pressed 'send', the green three white dots appeared on my left screen simultaneously waving.

"In front of you!" She texted, I quickly glanced into the barely massed crowd.

I stopped in front of them completely halting the march. My eyes started shooting at the crowd looking for my other friends.

My eyes spotted a hand waving high above the crowd attracting my eye's attention.

"Itsuki!" A familiar shout in front of me snatching my attention and the attention of my friends.

I and my old friends steadily marched through the crowd locating the shouting. When the crowd slightly dispersed, I rapidly looked around the area trying to find the voice that once caught our attention.

I tilted my head down slightly in front squeezing my phone, then using my right thumb to open the phone. I hover my left thumb onto the app 'Text it' pressing Emi's profile.

"Where are you guys?" My thumbs quickly typed the digital keyboard, then pressing send.

"Behind you" She texted.

Rotating my head to my right shoulder, then turning my body towards the beautiful Emi-san. Soon my friends behind me turned their heads towards her and my other friends.

She was carrying her phone onto her right palm, while her left palm was waving up high greeting us.

She was wearing the kimono that she bought during our shopping yesterday, she was wearing a blue hair clip concealing and stopping her blue hair from falling onto her right eye.

All of my friends started talking to each other, greeting each other and complimenting, while I was still stunned by her beauty.

"Why get so flustered? Itsuki?" She gave me a perfect curve onto her lips, then slowly walking towards me.

Breaking from my thoughts on her, I was jumped she was so beautiful that she made me blush.

"Nothing it's just..." I was stuttering my sentence with my face lit up with red.

"Im beautiful?" She raised her left eyebrow still retaining her smile.

"I... Yes" I admitted.

Before she could say anything.

"Itsuki-Kun where are we going to meet up after the summer festival?" Daiki asked while the others listened in, and also disrupting my conversation with Emi.

I turned my head towards him shooting our eyes at each other.

"This exact spot" I answered in a blank tone, then slightly pointing my fingers down onto the brick road.

"Oh ok. I and Rin are going to some shops here" He indirectly asked permission.

"Also I and Yuuna are also going with Rin" Kouki added to the permission.

"Alright, guys if all of you are going somewhere you don't need to ask permission to me, all of us will be meeting here after the festival is that ok?" I reassured all of them.

"Yes" They all replied in Unison.

And soon we all dispersed going our separate ways and agreeing on meeting up later after the event.

I and Emi-san are now mooching around the park, being amazed at what we were seeing. The park transformed drastically with all the decorations placed in a specific area. There is also a crowd of people barely in mass numbers, but hey we enjoyed it.

Oh, fuck did I forgot the selfie stick. I cursed myself. I silently and slowly dragged my hands onto my pockets and nothing.

"Hey, Itsuki do you want to take a picture at this tree?" She slightly pointed her index finger at the big decorated tree while mooching around the park.

I retreated my hands from my pockets, positioning my hands at the same level as my waist. I glance into Emi giving her a nod as a sign of "sure".

We stopped our mooch, then stepped onto the grass area near the tree. When we arrived at the big tree, we were surprised that no one is taking any pictures. We took that precious timing and started posing for the picture.

"You forgot the selfie stick didn't you?" She tilted her head, before glancing onto my eyes staring deep inside my soul.

"Yes," I answered plainly and bravely.

"That's alright, we can still take a picture" She gave me a smile.

"1..2..3" She pressed the camera icon on her phone, snapping our picture in the selfie form.

"Do you want a solo picture?" I slightly turned my head towards her making an offer.

"Sure" She sweetly accepted. She handed out her phone onto my hands.

I positioned myself further back from the tree, while she was getting ready to pose.

"1..2..3.." I pressed the camera icon, snapping the solo picture of Emi.

She quit her pose then ambled towards me, I pressed the gallery to check the picture.

"How was it?" She asked.

I rotated the phone around revealing her the beautiful picture.

"Itsuki, since when did you start getting good at taking pictures?" She admired.

"Is that an insult or a compliment?" I questioned.

"Can be both if you think about it" she shot back.

"Then a compliment it is" I sarcastically considered.

We took imagines of us doing funny faces or solo pictures, then debating on whether which is the best. As a gentleman I let her win for having the best pose in a picture.

I wonder... how's everyone's time at the summer festival?

She bursts out her giggle turning into full-blown laughter. Her laugh was adorable, I was grateful to have her be my friend... and crush.

The fuel that was making Rin laugh soon faded, eventually her full-blown laughter stopped. The sun was slowly dragging down onto the other side of the world. I had an opening, no opportunity to tell her how I feel about her.

I cling my fists and slightly tilt my head downwards. She was perplexed at my actions, I could hear my heart beating fast, I was anxious but kept pushing it back.

"I...I.." I stuttered my sentence, my heart started beating more to the point she could hear it.

By the look on her face, she was concerned. She wanted to reply back my sentence, but couldn't.

"I..." I continue to stutter, the mood between us quickly changed. She was now more concerned about my sudden change.

"Daichi-Kun is there something wrong?" She finally questioned me, staring her crimson red eyes directly to my soul.

This is harder than I expected, shit. You can do this Daichi! Remember what Xeno said... "Just gut it, man, it's not like you will lose everything. If she said 'No' then maybe she's not ready for it, love takes time, remember that".

I tilted my head upwards, glancing into her crimson eyes. It is obvious that I am a nervous wreck, I couldn't hide it.

"Rin... I.. Love you" I sincerely confessed. I could feel my shoulders lose weight.

Her eyes widened, as my confession echoed her ears. She was confused and flustered, I could tell it by directly looking onto her crimson eyes. And just like Xeno said, "Don't expect a good answer, expect the worst".

At this point, I am at the tipping point nervousness. Sweat started taking its toll. My heart is beating fast, I could tell that she could hear it 20 meters apart between us.

"Daichi, I'm sorry... I can't accept your feelings" She directly replied to my confession.

I could feel my heart shattered, but it's ok at least I confessed... I wanted to tear up instead, I hide it. My heartbeat quickly stopped and negative thoughts roamed my mind. Still waiting for my response, Rin was totally concerned about me.

"It's ok, I just wanted to confess it to you, I just don't know when to confess it to you" I lied.

"We could still be friends if you want to..." I offered her.

By saying those words, I feel like I was about to collapse. Every minute I tempted to cry out my pain.

She suddenly leaps towards me, then wrapping her arms around my chest. I never expected this to happen, but it helped ease my pain.

"Of course I want to" she softly whispered in my ear. My pain like dust quickly faded, easing my situation. In return, I wrap around my arms to her torso, giving a warm hug.

This turned out to be better than I expected, Eh at least I got a good outcome out of this confession. I guess I will try again sometime.

The park cliff is not that much of a couples spot, but tonight was different

"The moon is beautiful, isn't it?" I cease glancing into the bright moon, turning my attention to Emi.

"Is that an 'I love you'? Or an actual admire to the moon?" She questioned, dazing her diamond eyes into mine.

"Can be both, if you think about it" I curve one side of my cheeks creating a cheeky smile at her.

"Itsuki, sorry if I ever been a burden to you" She shoots her eyes onto the lake below, giving a gloomy sigh that alarmed me.

I quickly dragged my hands near her left hand, placing them above slightly squeezing it.

"You've never been a burden in my life because you're special to me. The first time I've met you in Elementary, I thought that I have met an adorable angel. But I received more than that, you're the most adorable, beautiful, and the kindest person that I have met" I softly reassured her, I could feel her ease on her shoulders.

Over the distance, an announcement was made.

"On the count of three, we will be releasing the fireworks!" I and she turned our heads to the announcer on the other side of the lake.

"1!" We quit watching at the announcer and returned back to our staring session.

"2!" She slowly shut down her eyelids, I did the same after a 3-second delay.

Our heads slowly approaching each other's lips. I slowly dragged my right hand onto her left cheek supporting it.
