3rd Person's POV~

Layden slowly walked through the small town of Pallet, the place she now called home. Her partner, Gardevior, walked beside her, a small pendant handing from her neck as they strolled aimlessly.

The two girls soon heard a voice, and looked for the source, seeing none other then Layden's cousin, Ash Ketchum, and his partner, Pikachu.

They had returned to Pallet Town with Layden and her twin sister Jayden, Ash wanting to rub what he had done in Gary's face, and Layden and Jayden needing a change of scenery.

Layden smiled as she looked at Ash,"Hello Ash, Pikachu. Is there anything I can assist you with?" She asked sweetly, adjusting her glasses with a push.

Gardevior dipped her head in greeting,"Gard, Gardevior." She said, smiling at the two.

Ash grinned,"Yep! Wanna Battle?" He asked, holding a Pokeball out.

Layden shook her head, an apologetic smile on her face,"I'm sorry Ash, but no, I'd prefer not to battle. I'm sorry."

Ash's shoulders drooped, and his head bowed,"It's ok Lay..."

Pikachu sighed and pat Ash's back,"Pika, Pikachu, Pi-pi." He said, as if motivating Ash.

Layden giggled, smiling,"Maybe Jayden will battle you. She loves to battle, especially with people she has not seen in a while."

Ash perked up at that,"Where is she? Do you know?"

"Obviously, I am her twin after all. Gardevior, Viridian forest, correct?"

"Gard."

"Jayden is in Viridian forest, training with Gallade." Layden confirmed, smiling at Ash.

He grinned like a four year old, "Thanks Lay! I owe you one!" He said, turning and running off towards the vast forest outside of Pallet Town.

Layden waved after him, hearing another voice behind her, but this one snarky,"Well, well, well, if it isn't Ashy-boy's cousin. You're the nerd one, right?"

"I happen to be the more academic side of myself and my twin, thank you, but I am no nerd, for I don't dwell on things far less superior then myself, for example, your pathetic insults. Now, if I may take my leave I will be grateful."

Gary was silent, all the snarky comments and rude things to say ripped out of his throat in an instant. She was so... Blunt.

She briskly walked away, her ponytail swaying behind her as she walked, her Gardevior beside her and walking stride in stride with her. The two seemed as if they were raised together.

Gary growled a bit as a chuckle was beside him, along with a firm hand on his shoulder,"You're losin' your touch little bro, letting a girl get the upper hand."

"Shut up Green."

"Whoa, no need to be so hostile Gar. Calm down man, you're steamin'."

"No, really?" He snapped, crossing his arms,"I'm mad at that nerd. She acted all tough and high-n-mighty, but she's not. Gary Oak is number one, and I always will be!"

"And that's what I thought, till I was destroyed by Red." Green pointed out,"I was put in my place, and didn't think,'Oh look at me! I'm friggin god!' I thought, 'Sup, name's Green'."

"Weirdly put bro. Weirdly put."

"Gallade, Leaf Blade!"

"Gallade!" He swiftly carried out his trainers wishes, attacking the large tree with his now unsheathed blades that are usually tucked away on his arm.

Leafs flew around the blade as he struck the tree, pausing and watching it slowly slide down, then CRASH!! The tree hit the ground.

Hard.

Flocks of Pidgey and Spearow fled the surrounding area, their wing flaps loud.

"Whoa!! That was awesome!!" Ash's voice says from the side, Gallade an inch away from his face in an instant with an Ice Punch raised.

He relaxed and said,"Gallade, Lade." Scoldingly, before walking back to my side, Ash behind him.

Jayden grinned,"Hey Ash! What's up?" She asked, playfully punching her cousin.

He grinned,"I want to battle you!" He yelled, holding out a Pokeball once more.

"Sure, seems like a breeze." She looked around the area, checking to make sure nothing would get in the way of the battle, "Gallade, you're up!"

"Gallade!" Gallade walked in front of her as she moved to a corner in the clearing.

"Charizard! Let's win!"

"Char!!" Charizard cried as it gave Gallade a winning look.

Jayden's partner just stared straight back, unmoving, his determination unwavered.

We were silent, no one making a move till the girl got impatient,"Fine I'll start! Gallade, use Thunder Punch!"

"Gallade!" He charged forward at an incredible speed, his fists being coated in sparks.

"Charizard, dodge!"

Charizard jumped into the air to dodge, but Gallade did the same, striking the large dragon in it's gut.

Charizard roared and fell back to the ground, creating a large dust cloud, while Gallade landed lightly, on his feet for another attack.

A large glowing tail spun out of the cloud, 'Dragon Tail!' Jayden thought, her eyes widening as it struck Gallade and sent him skidding back in the dirt.

Gallade's blade arms were crossed to try and reduce damage, but it was hard, and he was easily blown away,'Mistress... That Charizard is stronger then he seems. He trained in the Charisific Valley.'

'Then we give it all we got! That's how we roll!' "Gallade! Now, let's rev this up! Mega-Evolution, Let's go!" Jayden cried, holding up her gloved hand and touching the small stone in the center of it, Gallade touching the one on a cuff on his wrist.

A large crystal formed around Gallade, the loud noise building until the crystal exploded, revealing my partner brandishing new blades on his arms, his eyes having a more peircing and powerful stare to them

Jayden smirked,"Get ready to lose! Gallade! Thunder Punch!"
