Thank You

- - - - -

Before I start my long and annoying final note, I'll get the gist across for those who want to skip it-

THANK YOU FOR MAKING IT THIS FAR, SUPPORTING ME, SUPPORTING THE NOIRWOOD LEGACY, SUPPORTING THE PRINCES, DEMONS, SOLDIERS, CHILDREN, ROYAL SCUM, STRANGE ANIMALS, AND LAME JOKES THAT THIS STORY INVOLVED! EVERY TIME YOU GUYS VIEW, LIKE, OR YELL AT THE CHARACTERS FOR BEING SO STUPID IN THE COMMENTS, IT MAKES MY DAY! I SEE ALL OF THEM AND APPRECIATE YOU WAY MORE THAN YOU THINK. EVEN THE SILENT READERS--THANK YOU FOR GIVING MY WORK A TRY. I LOVE YOU SO MUCH AND AM SO GRATEFUL THAT PEOPLE LIKE YOU SUPPORT MY WILD IDEAS. <3

________

Okay, now for the long note, for those readers that may or may not be completely and entirely pissed off at me for ending it like that.

If you didn't catch it, the second book ended the same way as the first book, with two people venturing to an area and finding a symbolic object that belonged to someone they loved.

Instead of Jimin's ring like the first book, it was Jungkook's beloved pocket watch (God, that thing made so many cameos) and the giver of the pocket watch was symbolic too, but I'll let you deduce who that might be on your own. ;)

As with most of my writing, I like to center my plots around motifs, themes, and objects as metaphors for real life. In the first book after Jimin died, I tried to nail down the themes that life is fleeting, people should live in the moment, and people should love unforgivably as themselves and not pretend to be someone they are not. The Three Bannermen was truly a test of love against confounding variables such as FUCKING JIHOON, the poisonous gas,

and the pocket watch that gave away Jungkook's position near the statue when it reflected off the sun.

Don't know why Jungkook likes that pocket watch so much. It killed Jimin in the first book, that stupid, villianous clock.

BUT--if Jimin hadn't died, then who knows if Rose and Lucio would come to be, or if Mr. Park would have been stopped, or if Taehyung would magically gain his hearing back.

So, in Under Noirwood, I decided to lean heavier on the idea of fate. Even though there were horrible things that Jimin did as a demon, or that Florian did when he was upset, it was all for a grander cause of the universe's invisible hand. (or the writer's hand lmao).

There are plenty of other themes and ideas woven throughout that I hoped to get across, like the ideas of acceptance, forgiveness, and blindfolds in the bedroom. LOL sorry I can't stop.

Maybe some of you noticed, but the last ten or so chapters of Noirwood I tried to include more comedy because rereading some of my other chapters I felt like I was giving a history lesson to my readers (y'know, the ones that Lucio and Jungkook love).

But enough on the plot! I'll go onto a short memory of each character.

I say memory because I am not writing a third book (I know I could write a third book if I wanted--so don't encourage me to, because I need to stop thinking about Noirwood, hah).

Mai-

Mother of Rose and Lucio...character that didn't receive too much development. Mai, however, is underrated, I think. She was handed the short end of the stick several times, her kids were taken away from her for protection; and essentially she was used. But! She forgave Jimin for the most part, when the truth about the crypt and Mr. Park came out. Even though Rose and Lucio might not call her mother, they still are close with her. They know she's their birth mother. Mai was a good mentor to them growing up, and, as we all know, she became the head stylist of Kim Taehyung's fucking designer shack business which I'm totally digging. Gay fashion king. Whoops.

Love you, Mai!

(Jeon) Florian-

Ah, Florian. The poor guy that all my readers attacked for being suspicious LMAO. When I first envisioned Florian in the planning process, I wanted him to be that semi-boring prince stereotype that doesn't stand out. I also wanted to throw people off with his bloodline. Everyone assumes people who are related act similarly, but look at the Laurel Prince and his father or Rose and Lucio. As the author, I am nothing like some of my siblings. I'm sure a lot of you can relate. Florian is nothing like Jihoon--he's charismatic, attractive, (I admit, a bit boring) but kind-hearted. He has that kind of Jeon stability that the Kims like to surround themselves with. :)

As I tried to show in the last chapter, Florian and Eonjin are aging. They will not live forever. It's kinda sad to think that the three demons will have to witness their deaths, but at least they'll have a child to help raise. Taehyung will be a great uncle.

Don't bully Florian, okay? Actually I don't mind, you can bully him. He might name his son Florian Jr! What kind of parent does that!

Love you, Flor!

-

(Kim) Eonjin-

Eonjin! My girl! Kind of bossy, stubborn...attractive like her brother. I'm not sure what people thought of Eonjin throughout this, but like Florian, a lot of you called her dumb. I thought it was particularly funny when Jimin slept with Eonjin to help her get pregnant in the story and a bunch of you blamed her for cheating instead of our lovely Jimin boy. But even when she was working at the roadside inn and the Stone Prince needed help getting a makeover in Bannermen, she kinda had a crush on him. Jimin is very alluring, if you don't already know that. Plus, in the late semi-medieval era, when this was supposedly taking place, there was no such thing as surrogates. If you wanted a child, then...yeah...I don't want to think about that. Anyway!

Eonjin was a fiery girl and eerily similar to Taehyung. I hope you could see their similarites throughout the series, yeah? Personally when writing her, I found myself quite irritated. But, that's just me. Well, no that's not me...exactly the point. Her personality is quite opposite from my own. Alas.

Love you, Eonjin!

-

Rose-

The sweet silver-haired daughter of Jimin who grew into a lovely woman! From the start of Noirwood, I pictured Rose as a beauty, much like the rose-gardens grown in memory of Jimin. She was smart, quiet, very similar to the Stone Prince growing up. Taehyung and Jungkook were lucky that they got Rose instead of Lucio, because if you thought Rose was a sassy toddler, then Lucio was a devil. Hah!

Rose is now a medical worker on Speroshire, helping others with her vast medical knowledge. She uses her ice power to cool down fevers, ice injuries, etc. What a sweetheart, you know. Rose embodies the softer half of Jimin, the side that secretly cares for others but may not show it.

Love you, Rose!

-

Lucio-

Gosh. This ginger, am I right? Lucio, if you haven't noticed, sounds a lot like Lucifer. Coincidence? No. Lucio was the troublesome toddler that was cute as fuck and I enjoyed writing every scene of him. Lucio was the little boy I'd risk my life for in a heartbeat even if he destroyed my laptop and pooped all over my writing notebooks.

And when he grew up! Lucio used his disappearing power to hide from marine life so he could study them! He really wasn't lying when he said he liked sharks. If adult Lucio was in my neighborhood, you'd be sure I'd go after that freckled rascal. What a boy, am I right? Hah. Lucio embodied the sassy, flirty, yet kind side of Jimin. I don't think any readers were ever mad at Lucio.

Love you, Luce!

PARK JIMIN-STONE PRINCE-HALF-BLOOD

Now onto the boys.

Ugh.

It hurts to say goodbye to these characters more than ever because I really found a soft spot in my heart for all of them. I'll try not to go on a sap story though, we already went through that when Jimin died in the first book ;(

Jimin Jimin Jimin...a troubled Stone Prince in the first book and an equally troubled half-blood demon in the second. Jimin is the epitome of self-confusion, of making mistakes, and trying to make things right again. He is a curious character, frequently misunderstood. Jimin definitely came out of his shell through Bannermen and developed into a new character in Noirwood. Out of Vminkook, I think Jimin has changed the most. His insecurities turned into a blossoming love for himself and a forgiveness of all of his mistakes in the past. I think we all should learn a lot from him.

Based on comments, I think Jimin was (and this may not be the case for everyone) the favorite in this story. Whether it was the mystery surrounding him, the innocence he sometimes radiated as Stone Prince, or his demonic charm as a half-blood...I can't be sure. I tried to write Jimin as the questionable one, hoping the readers would form their own impression of the guy in their mind.

Now he's living on Speroshire happily, teaching swordsmanship to various students. Radiating major Commander Park vibes, you know?

Love you sosososososo much, Jimin! Goodbye, love!

KIM TAEHYUNG-LAUREL PRINCE-THE BLONDE

Do you hear me crying?

Ugh.

I loved writing the Laurel Prince the most out of all characters. His flamboyant personality, sporadic comments, handsome charm-UGH. It hurts a lot, yeah?

Kim Taehyung from square one had a lot of issues. He was a rich brat, a royal pain-in-the-ass, and over time he grew to become a wonderful father and lover. He overcame the trauma of being sexually-assaulted as a child to learning how to communicate properly in a serious relationship and acting less selfishly. People underestimated Taehyung a lot, thought he was an air-head, stupid, or just another handsome face.

But I want to tell all those gossipy servants in Noirwood to STFU because without Taehyung both Jihoon and Mr. Park would still be alive! THIS DUDE KILLED BOTH OF THEM, this hero!! Gosh! Taehyung has such a colorful and interesting outlook on life and never fails to joke around to make Jungkook or Jimin laugh. He's the shark, a Taebear, the Greek God (from Bannermen) and the blonde. And a fashionista, don't get him wrong. Thank god he can hear now! Am I right. Damn I got the feels, I love that guy.

LOVE YOU, TAEBEAR! THIS ISN'T GOODBYE, IT'S UNTIL NEXT TIME, YEAH? :(((

JEON JUNGKOOK-OAK PRINCE-RAVENETTE

Jeon Jungkook.

Oh, shit. Don't make me do this.

If you saw me tearing up for Taehyung, you should kindly get me a box of tissues so I can SOB for Jungkook.

Sigh. Oh, Jungkook.

For The Three Bannermen and Under Noirwood, I realize that a lot of my writing was centered around Jungkook and his actions. That was done on purpose--Jungkook was kind of like the main protagonist in these stories, since his bloodline was technically the OG royal bloodline of Noirwood and the Parks and Kims were later adopted in to the monarchy. Sorry if you wanted more of a Jimin or Taehyung centered story, but I don't think I would have done it any differently.

If Taehyung was extreme in his wild nature and Jimin was extreme with his quiet reservation, then Jungkook was the happy middle. An intelligent, thoughtful, and Sexy Oak, Jungkook used his brain to help out Noirwood the best he could given the circumstances. Sometimes, his heart would get the best of him (I can hear the echoes of you all screaming at Jungkook for taking Jimin's virginity as such an inopportune time or for yelling at Taehyung too harshly sometimes) and then he'd have to backtrack and apologize for the plot to move on.

To me, Jungkook is like the glue that holds the pieces together. In the beginning of Bannermen, he holds them together at his castle, when Taehyung and Jimin are emotionally dueling--or one of them gets hurt, or kidnapped--he's always trying to find a way to make it right again. In Noirwood, Jungkook finds himself stuck defending Jimin while going against Taehyung's words. He is quite literally in the middle of two men he loves, and suffers a lot because of it. Without Jungkook in these stories to dampen the others' extreme personalities, I don't think Vmin could have been possible. Only through Jungkook could they hear each other's hearts and learn to understand each other on an individual basis.

Kinda cheesy. I like cheesy.

Sometimes.

Shit, I'm really trying to put off saying goodbye to Jungkook.

Ouch, this hurts!!!!!

The reason I enjoyed writing the Oak Prince so much was that this man reminds me of myself a lot. As the author, you can't help but project some portion of yourself into the characters, and I think Jungkook was this character for me.

How about you guys--which character could you relate to by the end of the series?

If y'all answer Jihoon or Mr. Park, I will find you. If you answer adult Lucio, then you can drop into my DMs. ;) Just kidding! Personally, I would answer Jungkook, hands down.

Okay. Jungkook *sniff* it's *sniff* time to let you live out your life on Speroshire *sniff*

I hope you get the pocketwatch *sniff* so you can write those books *wink*

LOVE YOU SO MUCH MY SWEET KOOK BOOK JUNGKOOK SEXY OAK!!!!!!!!!

izzy-author-crying mess

yeah hi everyone i'm really sad now

if you have any questions about anything at all that you're curious about with the story or whatever, you can drop them here.

fuck, i'm so glad that you read my book because this series was very very long and intense and took up a good portion of my free time. not saying i didn't love writing it though. it was a beautiful journey. writing vminkook is a lot more difficult than just writing vkook...i don't think i'll ever attempt a polyamorous relationship again lmao that was super ambitious of me from the beginning.

not saying i didn't enjoy writing threesomes. (creepy wink)

(not sorry)

i'm going to continue writing of course, like always. i am currently updating the remodeler (k.th & j.jk) daily, but i understand if that story isn't for you. it's a psychoau! and if you didn't like the bloody scenes in Noirwood then you'll hate that story...anyway.

i also am planning a jikook book. as of now, i won't be releasing it for a while...but stay tuned for when it comes out. it's less fantasy-oriented than this one. no castles, no demons. (i'll give you a spoiler, it's a gamerau!)

alas, i should go now. i write too much sometimes. i'm sorry. i hope my story touched your heart. now i'll leave you with this beautiful passage from jungkook in book one that pretty much summarizes the series. (i may have edited it to fit the circumstances).

-

"Taehyung...Jimin...it's been a hell of a story series, hasn't it? I-"Jungkook paused, glancing up into the sky. Tears started to form at his eyes...but why was he crying? He couldn't afford to get emotional at a time like this, but nonetheless, a tear fell down his cheek. "I am so lucky to have met you both...and fall for you both..." The ravenette blushed a bit. "We...we were meant to be together I think...there's something I feel for you both that I can't place. It's as if we've known each other our whole lives, or maybe in a past life...maybe there's an author out there right now writing our story for us, and...damn it!" Jungkook pawed at the tears that were pouring from his eyes now. Taehyung held out his arms for a hug, and the three men met in the center, crying.

"Taehyung, your pants are on backwards!"

with love, always.
