Freckles

I've been waiting
For the sun to set on the sky of my skin
And for freckles to emerge like stars from its absence
So that my body can assume it's place
In parallel with my soul
As a constellation
Among the galaxies of humanity
But it's light and heat and fire that draw out freckled stars
And while I waited for the darkness to throw them into relief
They were already there
Invisible to human perception
Tiny in their distance
Irrelevant in their hundreds
Meaningless in their placement
And while I waited for the night to make them visible
They used the velvet cloak to hide behind
The darkness from within
That left them dead
As stars that splatter sky and skin already are

Hey guys,

This is not actually about me, but it's about a character, specifically my own interpretation of Dominique Weasley.

To whomever may be reading, I hope you're having an amazing day.
