4:15 pm.

As always, Logan was the first one ready. The door to his room opened as the logical trait walked out to the living room and sat on the couch facing the kitchen. With a whisk of his hand, the door closed normally on its own. He stole one last glance towards his room and thought about his notepad he had left inside.

Logan had gotten quite far in his experimenting process. Not only did he find out he could not write anything else, but he couldn't erase any of the marks or writing he had previously left in it. The fingerprint test he performed puzzled the logical trait even more. In addition to not finding evidence that another aspect had touched it, he couldn't even find evidence that HE had touched it. Not one single fingerprint anywhere.

This is what Logan deemed as a good stopping point in the research process so that he could be ready for dinner on time. The next step to take would be to use his atomic microscope to make sure all subatomic molecu-

"Hey Logan!" Logic was shaken out of his thought process by Morality's greeting. Patton had just walked out of his room and taken a seat on the couch right next to him. The first thing the logical trait noticed was that Patton looked more presentable than usual. Of course he was still wearing his cardigan wrapped around his shoulder and his blue polo, but he was wearing jeans and a leather belt instead of his usual sweatpants.

"Hello Morality. Thank you for your gifts. They were much appreciated." He stated matter of factly.

Patton's smile brightened as he saw the tie and heard his compliment. "Aw, you're welcome Logan." Morality said as he patted his fellow aspect on the back. Shortly afterward however, his smile fell. Logan noticed this.

"Is something wrong Patton?"

"It's...it's just....Anxiety."

"What about Anxiety?"

"Nothing. Nevermind. It's all good." Patton put on a fake smile, but Logan wouldn't have it and just blinked at Patton as if to say "I don't believe you". Morality was seriously considering telling Logan the truth, when Anxiety's room door opened and out walked the darker trait. Patton didn't know if he was grateful or unhappy for his timely appearance, nevertheless it put a hold on the sides' conversation.

"Afternoon..." Anxiety walked past and flopped on the couch across from them. As expected, he looked exactly the same, except for the bangs of his hair. It looked like they had been combed.

"You're hair looks different Anxiety." Logan pointed out.

Anxiety looked up at the logical trait and snorted slightly. "You're tie looks different."

Logan grunted in embarrassment. "Point taken."

Anxiety went back to scrolling through Tumblr. He had to consciously stop himself from taking pictures of Logan's tie. That must've been what was in one of the gift boxes Morality had given him earlier.

It seems all three of them were thinking of the same event, because almost as if on queue, Logan just had to ask Morality about his notepad.

"Patton?"

"Yes Logan?"

"When you intruded my room to place the gift boxes on my desk, did you take my notepad from the stairs and tamper with it at all?"

Morality frowned. Anxiety froze. Uh oh. Here we go.

1 Hour earlier...

"Nothing. Just some weird debate on tumblr that I'm passionate about." Anxiety stated, holding the real notebook behind the door so Patton wouldn't see it.

"Oh. Alright kiddo. Just making sure you're okay." Morality gave a smile that hid his real sadness as he walked away.

Anxiety closed the door, put his back to it, and slinked down in total regret. His thoughts were mixed between sorrow and complete confusion. Try as he may, nothing really made sense. He knew he should have told Morality the truth. If Logan's theory was right and Thomas really was breaking apart from the inside, this situation surely wasn't helping.

It was all too much. He shoved the notepad back in his jacket pocket and ran to his bed desperate for his music. He knew what he should have done, but did he do it? No. Why didn't he do it? His thoughts slamming against his head. Despite his calm face, utter turmoil shrouded his black heart.

Relief washed over him as the music scattered his thoughts. His mind; emptied. The headphones; like a force field separating him from reality. All the while a small nagging played at the back of his head. There was no escaping it. He knew that soon he would have to face the consequences of his choices.

Which is basically what was happening right now.

Back to present time...

Anxiety continued looking at his phone acting as if he didn't hear Logan and Patton's conversation, but still being attentive to what was said. Maybe, he could make things right if the chance provided itself. That chance never came.

Morality lowered his head after Logan asked his question. "I'm sorry Logan." Patton lied.

Anxiety's heart dropped.

"I was just curious about what you write in it. You're a very good drawer." With a stroke of luck, Morality guessed the last statement.

Despite the subtle frown on the logical trait's face, a flash of pink quickly danced across his cheeks leaving as quickly as it came.

"I would be lying if I said I was not surprised at you Patton. You do not usually snoop around our belongings. Nevertheless, I assure you I am not mad and I do forgive you. But, perhaps next time, please ask me first. I would have..." Logan paused to rub his neck. "I would have gladly shown you." Logan contemplated telling Morality about the state his notepad was in, but thought better of it because he wouldn't understand.

Morality smiled a little at his last statement. "Thank you Logan."

"Your welcome, Patton." Logan did not smile back however.

To say Anxiety was a nervous wreck, was a bit of an understatement. Sure, on the outside he looked like he was just scrolling tumblr and not really listening, that is until he looked up and saw Patton flash him a heart broken smile. Oh god it hurt. He subtly put his phone down and rubbed his face with his hands careful not to mess up his make-up or create attention towards himself. And he didn't, because the one who did create attention towards himself decided to burst out of his room at that exact moment.

"Hi-Ho fellow Aspects! Thomas is in the car with his friends now! It's only a matter of time before we get to join him at the restaurant!" Prince stopped in front of the living room clad in his normal Prince outfit as the rest of his clothes were living in Anxiety's room for the time being. The other aspects only blinked in unison at his sudden appearance.

"Aw. What's with the long faces you two? Not Grumpy over there. He always has a long face."

Anxiety grumbled irritatedly and rolled his eyes. "Nice to see you too."

Logan answered for Morality. "It is too realistic of a story to keep your goldfish-sized brain entertained." He adjusted his glasses smugly.

Anxiety chuckled. Okay, that lifted his mood a little. The same could not be said for Patton, even though he was smiling.

"Excuse me!? Would you like to bet?" Prince was taken aback by Logic's remark.

"Would you like me to remind you of what happened the last time you made a bet?" Logan slightly smirked at Roman.

Roman was about to protest when he realized the last bet he made was this morning. He lowered his head and grunted at the ground. "Fine." But he picked himself back up, to finish his previous thought. "But as I said, Thomas will be there shortly. You all should expect to be summoned soon." He spun on his heels to walk back to his room, but stopped short halfway to turn back around and look at Logan.

After quickly glancing him up and down, Roman smirked. "Nice tie."

"Doggone it." Logan looked to the floor, then to his tie, then to a widely smiling Morality next to him. "No Patton."

4:34 pm

The car arrived at its destination.

"Alright. Everyone out!" Joan yelled. Everyone eagerly hopped out of the car, hungry for food. On the way to the restaurant, they had acquired Terrance who was now walking next to Talyn, who was walking next to Joan, who was walking next to Thomas with Leo on the other side of him.

Laughter rang across the parking lot as all the friends laughed and joked. Once they got to the front, the automatic doors slid open permitting entrance inside the restaurant.

"Hey you guys go on ahead! I'll catch up." Thomas waved at his friends all of which nodded in acknowledgement and went on ahead inside, except Joan.

Joan walked up to Thomas and stayed with him. "Are your sides coming along? Because I thought they just stayed inside your house."

"I don't understand the whole 'mind palace' thing yet. Logan tried to explain, but yes they are coming with me. I figured it would be better to meet them out in the parking lot."

"I just hope no one thinks you're talking to yourself." Joan told him worriedly.

"Well, I already do that enough on a daily basis. They will most likely be doing their own thing anyways."

"I still wish I could see them. You say they all look like you?"

"Except with different outfits." There was a slight pause before Thomas decided to speak again. "Alright they aren't here yet so, I'm gonna summon them." Thomas snapped his fingers and all four aspects instantly materialized in front of them.

"Hi Joan!"

"Hello Joan."

"Greetings Joan!"

"Sup?"

Joan still couldn't see or hear anything. "You say they are all standing there waving hi?"

"Yeah. They're all pretty happy to see you." Thomas turned to Joan then back to his aspects. "Nice tie Logan. You're lookin' spiffy Morality. Anxiety. Love the hair. And Prince, Just as fabulous as always."

"Thanks." Logan straightened his dog tie.

"Glad you think so, kiddo."

Anxiety clicked his tongue.

"Nothing ever less than that."

Anxiety scoffed. "That's what you say now."

Prince groaned. "This is dinner. Not the Outfit war. Yes. I know you won. Can you stop rubbing it in, please!?"

Thomas silenced their banter. "Alright. Alright. This is a fancy restaurant, please try to keep your voices down and no bickering inside this place." He pointed to the restaurant behind him.

"They are arguing now?" Joan asked inquisitively.

"All they ever do is argue." Thomas was already considering sending them back to the mind palace.

"That's not true." Morality pouted slightly.

"Nevermind. Let's just...walk in." Thomas motioned them towards the restaurant as he and Joan guided the four aspects through the automated doors...only to have them slam shut in the four aspects' faces. Thomas stared dumbfoundedly from the other side of the doors.

"Can they not get through?" Joan asked Thomas just as confused as he was.

Logan sighed in irritation. "Of course. Motion-sensor doors."

Everyone groaned. It was going to be a long night.

AUTHOR'S NOTE Part 2: I mean...its not all bad. It has some good parts. I feel like Prince was out of character...I'm worrying too much. I got called into work over the weekend cleaning apartments. I killed all the spiders. I'm awarding myself the trophy for the most spiders killed in a weekend. This have nothing to do with the story. XD Shout out to mind_writing for using one of my ideas for their one shot book. Check 'em out. Anyways, love you all and have a great whatever time of day/night it is when you are reading this. Ms. Chickoo out! *sinks down*
