Isabella's POV:

I got a text from Missy.

'8th and Main.
The Streets is on
Tonight!'

I rush up and went to Andie's room.

"Andie did you get the text?"

"yeah.. but it's not like we can actually dance or anything so what's the point" she responded.

I thought over her words and realized she was right.

I visibly deflated.

"well thanks buzz kill" I joked, falling face first into her bed.

....

"Andie and Isabella it's for yall" After opening the door she sorta yelled it.

'Who could it be?' I thought.

"What are you guys doing here?" Andie asked the seeming as shocked as I was to see them everybody but my baby.

'Where's Moose?' I wondered scrunching up my eyebrows.

"Andie, we're going. Eighth and Main, The Streets. We need you guys." Chase started smiling.

"What about the fundraiser?" I asked.

"You could all be expelled." Andie caught on to what I was thinking about.

"Forget the fundraiser. We don't want the school to move."

"It's time we took a stand. Like you did."

"If MSA doesn't want yall..."

"Then we don't want you."

"What are you talking about? We do want Andie. We want Andie in, yes, right?"

"Yes."

"Look, you brought us together and took the fall for us when we should have all done more."

"Andie, that's why we're here. We've all made a lot of mistakes, but now's our time. We can go all the way. If we don't try, it was all for nothing. Come on, are yall in?"

"Only if mom lets us i'm kinda still on punishment" I said, scratching the back of my head now embarrassed because I just let my friends know I got in trouble.

"I can't either." Andie broke the news.

"Why?"

"I promised Sarah I'd finish packing tonight."

"Andie? Bella? Can we talk a minute?" Mom suddenly called us.

"yeah, hold up yall."

"Yeah. I'll be back."

"I made a promise to your mom to take care of you. I want to keep it." Mom started talking to Andie first.

"I know. I understand that and I am done fighting."

"You know, you remind me so much of your mother. You have her passion. She was a really good friend to me, Andie. Just like you are to them."

"I just feel like I finally found this place where I belong. I found people who believe in me."

"I believe in you, too. I've seen a change in you. You should go tonight. You too bella."

"Really?" Andie and I said together.

"She'd want you to and I want you too."

"Thank you so much mommy! I have to go get dressed"

I faintly heard Andie say "Let's do this"

(But like with some sneakers, a tank top, without the bag, and hair thrown into a cute bun)

Next thing I know we're speeding to the destination.

"Oh lord! Oh lord! Oh lord!"

Currently running into the club trying to compete in the competition.

It looks amazing and way crowded than usual which was expected.

I look around only to see Felicia and the four-one-oh.

'here we go' I thought to myself rolling my eyes.

We walk up to them as they did us.

"What part of "You don't belong here" do you not understand?" Felicia got closer to Andie.

"Says who? you don't own The Streets" I scoffed.

"Why don't you chill? We're just trying to perform here like everyone else." Andie finally clapped back.

"Yo, homey, this is how it is."

Here go Tuck joe ass it must be fucking fun.

"You're not invited. This is a closed event. For locals only. Besides, that jazz funk that y'all pulled at the Dragon ain't gonna cut it here."

"Like we ain't locals? tf."

"Neither will those moves you've been doing the past five years. And by the way, I really liked your place, but I think that fish made it smell better." Chase smirked using his height as an advantage hovering over Tuck.

That's when Tuck started gripping up Chase.

Everybody started arguing and tryna break them up when Dj Sand decided to jump in.

"Don't disrespect me in my place. You boys fighting in my house now? You're think you're funny?"

"It's the moment you've all been waiting for. At this time, let me introduce the five time reigning champ. Give it up, make some noise, for the Four-one-oh!" Dj Sand announced them.

'girl nobody been waiting for them'

As much as I dislike them they were good. You should be after practicing that much.

"Tell me who the hottest crew in Baltimore is. That's what you think? I don't know, the Four-one-oh killed it."

Oh my gosh everybody in this jawn joe.

"All right, y'all, let's hit it."

We start to walk forward when security pushes us back.

"Oh no baby this ain't gonna work stop touching me" I sneered at the security guards.

"Yo, this is a neighborhood battle. You're out of luck. Now, go home. Leave." Tuck said all smug.

"That's mad wack, B." Missy said pissed.

Andie suddenly goes up to the Dj to try and give us a shot.

From the looks of it it's not working.

Then Chase goes up and makes him listen.

He cuts the music and Andie starts to give a speech ignoring the boos.

"We're all here because..."

"All right, all right."

"Yo. Some of you guys think..."

"Some of you guys think that we don't belong here. It doesn't matter where we're from. You are not the valedictorian. All right, all right. Let me just say something. The Streets are supposed to be about different people coming together. We call this a battle, but what are we fighting for? We're all here because we have this thing we do. We dance. Right? Being a part of The Street used to mean more than turf or power. It was about bringing something new to the floor..."

I see Moose come back and I know my eyes brightened. I grabbed his hand to lock our fingers together then went back to Andie's touching speech.

"And it shouldn't matter what we wear, what school or what neighborhood we're from. Because the best part of The Streets is, it's not about what you've got. It's what you make of what you've got. So, if the Four-one-oh is too scared to defend their title against us, then, hell, we'll be outside doing our thing where The Streets started."

After we finished dancing we were soaking wet and pretty cold but that wasn't on our minds because we just got done doing what we loved.

I ran and jumped on Moose. He had to hurry and catch me.

"We did it" I whispered before locking lips with him.
