Jin Ae's POV

"Doctor, is he okay?" I and Dae Hyun asked as soon as he comes out of the operation theatre. Jungkook was on the way back home from his workplace when the cab he was in met with a horrible accident, the driver and Jungkook was seriously injured.

"The surgery was successful and he is out of danger." The doctor said. "Thank you doctor" Dae Hyun said. "You can get his belongings from the reception" the doctor said.

I went to get his stuff and Dae Hyun went to get the documents, I was returning when his phone rang, I froze I didn't know what to do, I checked and it was a number from Korea, I picked up "Yah! Jungkook why weren't you picking up?" a person with deep voice said. "Excuse me, Jungkook isn't available right now. I will tell him to call you once he is free" I said. "What do you mean by he isn't available, he should be home by now, and well who are you?" he asked. He was annoying because he kept asking me questions whose answer I didn't have but I loved his voice ;)

"He is still at office and left his phone and went for some work, I am his colleague Jin Ae." I said and breathed a sigh of relief. "You are Korean?" he asked like how many more ughh. "Yes, well I got to go now, what's your good name?" I said, I can ask him his name at least in return of all of his. "Kim Taehyung, Bye" he said rudely. But something about him was different well I dealt with one problem but I knew it couldn't be dragged on for long Aah Jungkook wake up

"Ae -ah, I have a bad news" Dae Hyung said. "What?" I replied. "It was a bad accident and he had internal bleeding and it was a complicated surgery, though he was saved there might be a complications, with his normal routine due to the internal damage" those words were terrific to my ears and my heart dropped "Umm I don't know what to say but I hope he recovers in the best way", I asked. After Jungkook came to NY, I was the first Korean friend he had and it's been 2 years and we really got along well and became good friends, he talked nothing except his brothers and his girlfriend and every time he talked about her his cheeks went tomato red.

"Yeah hopefully, I called up boss and told him everything, since Jungkook was the chief head for this project, it might be halted for a while and he told to keep this confidential" he said. I have known Dae Hyun since college and we coincidentally started working for the same company. "Go home I'll stay tonight" he said. I left with his belongings and went home, it wasn't a good day. We were almost done with the project and in a 6 months Jungkook would wrapped up and leave for Korea, he was happy and wanted to surprise his girlfriend.

My worst fear for now was a phone call from her and that came true as soon as I reached home, I went to fresh up when his phone rang, I saw the contact and it was her Shit I don't know what to say. I still picked up so that she wouldn't worry "Hi, how are you" she said. "Hi Ha Eun ssi" I said a bit scared. "Who are you? And where is Jungkook?" she asked and I didn't know how to answer. "I am his office colleague and he is not at his desk now, I'll tell him to contact you as soon as he is back" I said. "Oh, sure how do you know my name?" she asked "I saw it while receiving the call" I said

"Hmm, so what's your name?" she asked me, her voice was sweet just as Jungkook described "Jin Ae" I said. "Nice name, pls do inform Jungkook. Bye" she said "Bye and I'll surely tell him" I said she was better than his friend who called up before; he was interrogating me like a police officer.

After 5 days

Jungkook regained his conscious 3 days ago, but he didn't speak to anyone and neither let anyone enter his room, since his friend and girlfriend were worried about him I sent them both a small message saying that he has an important meeting in Toronto and won't be available on the phone, It helped because I switched off his phone and kept it inside. I had to meet him today to tell him about what boss told.

"May I come in?" I asked and he didn't reply.

"Jungkook, please it's a message from boss", when I said that he turned towards me and nodded and I went inside.

"Continue." He said in a low tone

"Boss has advised you take rest for a while and then get back, also here is your phone and sorry I messaged them without your consent, I thought it would be the best not to worry them about this" I said.

Just then Dae Hyun came in with food and kept it on the table. "Jungkook how are you feeling?" he asked but he had no reaction on his face

"Who are you?" he spoke, and me and Dae Hyung exchanged glances

"Dae Hyun, wait Jungkook don't you remember me?" He said, we were hoping it wasn't what we both were thinking at the moment.

"No, I don't know you" he said with a blank face and Dae Hyun was very upset

"He is still not in the right state, just leave and go to the doc." I murmured to him and while he was still there his phone rang, it was his friend Kim Taehyung and I put it on the speaker for him "Yah! Jungkook where are you, how was your meeting in Toronto?" he said. "Hi Hyung I am back to NY and the meeting was good" he said in a low voice. "Are you sick, what happened to your voice" he asked seriously he was a master at asking questions "No a bit tired, I'll call you later" Jungkook said

"Wait... Did you talk Ha Eun? She was waiting for your call" his friend said

"Who is Ha Eun?"
