( Becoming )

'I.. like [Y/N] too.'

Bakugou's words played in loop inside of Midoriya's mind. He didn't know what to do. He'd slowly pass by the school gates, exiting the academy to go home. It was a walk by himself, however unexpectedly another girl had ended up tagging along.

"Hey Deku! Can I walk with you?" Asked Uraraka, who slowed her running as soon as she met with his side. The male would nod with burrowed eyebrows, immediately Uraraka noticed his discomfort. "Something on your mind?"

Midoriya stared at the cement, and then raised his eyes back up again, silent for a moment. But within time, his face would have became elated with a gentle, vibrant smile. "No, it's nothing. I'm fine, thanks Uraraka." He spoke, looking into her eyes.

The girl cocked her red face away in an instant, rubbing the back of her head furiously. "It's no problem, really!" She returned her gaze back towards him, but had suddenly stopped after noticing he'd done so.

He seemed very intent on what his green pairs of eyes had been locked onto, honestly she's never seen such a side before. Curious, Uraraka checked the source of his stare, leading her attention onto you.

'[L/N]? I wonder why he's staring at her so much..' She'd think to herself, unable to retain a partial cluster of her jealously. Envious, she also wanted a bit of Midoriya's attention.

"Out of my way." Spoke another, scooting Midoriya aside and also breaking his gaze from your lonesome figure. "O-Oh! Hey Kacchan!"

Bakugou didn't reply, per usual. He was headed straight towards you, however in the midst of this, a familiar redhead ran up to him before locking an arm around his neck just like earlier. "The gang will be going out for the arcade! You're tagging along, right?"

Kirishima grinned toothily like an idiot, meanwhile the naturally angered male swatted his hand. "I'm not going." He replied tersely, causing Kirishima to proceed with persistence. "Come on, man! It won't be the Bakusquad without it's leader!"

Well he was certainly right, but it was already known that he didn't care. After all, he only wanted to be with you.

Catching a glimpse of the male's eye on you, Kirishima would muse in both amusement and understanding. "Oh I see what's going on~ Go get her." He shoved his buddy forward, and then pointed a thumb behind him. "I'll text Sero and the others that we'll have a raincheck. Do you mind if I tag along, too?"

Bakugou, who was in the middle of mental exhaustion had froze abruptly, eventually looking at his best friend. Seeing he had gone speechless, Kirishima simply took it as a yes, and then pursued you in attempts to befriend you.

"Ah, hello?" You spoke with uncertainty. The redhead subtly smiled, his fist against his chest. "Hey, you remember me right?" His inquiry led you to a moment of ponder. A hand to your chin, an answer finally came to mind. "Oh! Kaminari?"

Both his body, and soul went white, expressionless but yet full of surprise. But after overcoming his disappointment and despondency, he raised a hand to stroke his neck gingerly. "Uhh, my name is actually.. Kirishima."

No.

No.

No.

This is all wrong.

Bakugou wanted to be with you. Only him. There's no room for anyone else. He'd clench his fists tightly, growls audible through his gritted teeth. Things refuse to go by how he planned. Just how hard did he have to try? Is there something he needed to do?

"Oh, shoot, seriously?? I'm so sorry!!"

"No it's alright! Mistakes happen!"

Bakugou couldn't stand it. Although he trusts Kirishima, everything seemed to fly out the window. His reasoning becomes unclear. Just when he thought Midoriya wouldn't be apart of the equation anymore, his own friend goes and converse with the one he's head over heels over.

An intense jealously is what's corrupting him.

'[Y/N].. look at me...'

'Look at me.. we can't have another man's reflection in your eyes, damn it..'

You made conversation with your new friend, Kirishima, eagerly with a smile against your lips. Bakugou couldn't hear the two of you, however. He did notice that after your silly mistake, Kirishima would point towards him followed by a few more words.

This action was what snapped him back into reality.

Right.

He still.. trusts Kirishima.

He'd never do anything to betray him.

Bakugou watched as you frantically shook your head, and then moved to scratch your cheek. What did he say to you? He wondered, causing him to approach carefully.

"Oh hey buddy!" The elated boost in his persona wasn't anything new. Bakugou would grumble quietly, unaware that he moved directly by your side to put some distance between you and the opposite sex.

You smiled warmly in an casual greeting. "Good evening Katsuki! Where's Deku? Does he want to walk with us?"

Great.

Even more problems for him.

Bakugou couldn't tell a lie, or else Midoriya would approach and contradict his words. He knew it would be only a matter of time before the green bean's feelings would lead him to you.

But as long as you didn't love him back,

No harm should be done right?

"Yeah, I think that nerd's coming." He grumbled. Bakugou realized that he's only tolerated Midoriya's presence because of the past. It was safe to say murder has still been on his mind. And although he constantly shouts death threats, it was only his pride talking. But don't get it wrong ー he'd still bite back.

"Look, there he is." Kirishima would point out, causing everyone to stare into his direction. The male flinched alongside of Uraraka, a bit unsettled at the pairs of eyes watching him so intently. "Y-Yes?" Midoriya would question, earning a look of awe from you. He had always been so cute, perhaps it was due to his freckles that would lift whenever he spoke.

You didn't notice Uraraka's furrowed eyebrows, heck, you've never even realized she had feelings for him. "You'll walk home with us, right? Everyone's headed to the same place."

The other nodded with no hesitation. He really needed to know if you wanted to return your feelings for him, but even if so, Bakugou's words still laid restlessly at the back of his mind.

>[Time: 6:02 PM]<

"Home sweet home!" Uraraka would announce, stretching an arm behind her head as she approached the common area. You followed her before sitting down against the sofa, giggling as you retorted.

"Yup! So do you guys have any board games? We could play until dark!" The idea wasn't a bad one, however preferably they'd like to play when more classmates had arrived. "Nah, not today. How 'bout this weekend?" Kirishima suggested, causing you to nod.

"Sure, I bet I'll beat ya!"

"Oh? For a moment there I thought you were talking to the wall."

An playful argument sparked in between you two. And although you've only known Kirishima for a few hours, the both of you could really level with one another. But unbeknownst to you, it made a few others gather jealously.

"Kirishima." Bakugou suddenly started, "This isn't the time for a chat. You need to study, so come on." He wasn't taking no for an answer despite Kirishima's slouching. He groaned as Bakugou moved to grasp onto the back of his collar, eventually dragging him towards his room.

There was no way he'd allow that to go on any further.

Just as the boys left, you looked over towards Midoriya, who began to sit beside you with two cans of soda in his hand. "Do they study together often?" You asked. He gave you one can, a delicate expression against his face while preparing to respond. "Yeah, a lot. They are best friends, but I know Kacchan doesn't want to admit it."

Bowing your head in a silent gesture to prove your appreciation over the beverage, you'd crack open the tab belonging to the can. "Ah, okay."

Everything had suddenly gone quiet, and you used this as an opportunity to take a sip from your drink, unprepared by Midoriya's next words.

"So, have you thought on it?"

'The audacity he has!!' You'd think to yourself, your body vibrating while spitting out the bubbly liquids. Wiping your mouth vigorously, you snapped that awoken attention of yours towards the male, clearly perplexed.

His cheeks were slightly red, and his gaze remained down towards the soda can in his hands. Midoriya's index finger rubbed against the smoothed metal calmly, proving that he also felt anxious. "Why did I bring that up now? Well, it's not able to leave my mind. Besides, I.. don't want..."

'I.. Like [Y/N] too.'

There goes that reminisce again.

The male's lips curved ever so slightly into an saddened frown. Obviously, you noticed this, but it was far too late to stop him. Midoriya stood up abruptly, wasting no time in moving away. "Never mind. I have to do something now."

"Deku, wait-!" Despite your callings, he didn't stop. He'd make his way towards what seemed to be his dorm room, and the vague change in him was the reason for your sigh.

"What's gotten into him..?"

Meanwhile, Kirishima was tossed into the Bakugou's room. The male closed his door right after his entrance, ruffling his ash blond hair in contemplation. "Hey. I know you two just met and all, but do me a favor and stay away from [Y/N]."

The redhead scrambled to his feet, confusion written against his features. This certainly wasn't something he expected from his mouth. "Wait, why? I thought you were friends?"

Bakugou approached, completely discarding his inquiry as if he hadn't heard him. "Ignoring her shouldn't be a problem.. it's not like you already feel interested in her." His tone practically implored him to object while he still had the chance. Kirishima didn't like to be manipulated, but now was a completely different story.

And he didn't want to admit that he did have a slight interest in you.

There had been a lump in his throat that he managed to gulp down, chills climbing down his arms resulting in the mild accumulation of goosebumps.

That's when realization had struck him. What he asked of him wasn't a small favor...

It was a demand.
