Love lots -AV

Once the room had calmed down from the emotional journey that was Avi opening Kevin's presents, Mitch handed Scott his first box. The blonde pulled the bow allowing the box to flop open.

"I know it's not really your style. But they were too cute and too perfect for us for me not to get them." Mitch spoke quickly, hoping that the gift wouldn't embarrass Scott.

"No, baby! It's adorable." Scott picked up the two small bears that were attached as if they were hugging. One was blonde and had blue eyes, the other brunette with brown eyes. "They look like us."

"I know. That's why I got them."

Scott pecked his boyfriend's cheek, "I love it. Thank you!"

Mitch giggled, "okay now for number two." He thrust another box at his partner. Scott peeled off the wrapping paper, knowing Mitch was becoming impatient, he did it even more slowly than normal. "Will you hurry up! I'm excited for this one!"

Scott laughed but quickly ripped off the final piece of paper. He picked up the two small ticket stubs. "Mitchy! Holy shit! You didn't?!?"

"I did. And since it's in Houston. I got us a hotel room."

"But what about--"

"Your PO? I already talked to Derek. He's fine with it. Mostly because Amber and Rashad are coming too."

Scott jumped up and peppered kisses all over Mitch's face, "I love you. I love you. I love you. Holy crap... we're going to see Beyonce!"

"I know! But you still have one more present to open."

"This is entirely too much Mitchy!"

"Nothing is ever too much for you. But if it makes you feel any better I didn't actually spend money on this one."

Scott took the small square object and opened the paper revealing a CD case, he looked curiously up at his boyfriend.

"I know we all listen to music on our phones now and I have put these on your phone already. But I wanted you to have something a bit more tangible."

Scott looked at the blank CD. It didn't have writing on it and the cover was simply a picture of he and Mitch from last summer. "Can I play it?"

Amber took the CD and popped it in the massive stereo system. Scott was more than shocked when Mitch's voice filled the room.

"So, one of Dan's roommates works at a studio and he gave me some time so they recorded me singing all your favorite songs. I know it's not much but you always say you miss my voice and now you can hear it whenever."

Scott heard him talking but could barely comprehend what he was saying, he was too focused on Mitch's vocals singing his favorite Katy Perry song. Everyone was quiet as the song finished and "Halo" started. Scott made his way over to Mitch and wrapped the boy in his arms, inhaling his scent. Happy that he was finally home.

After the party it was decided that Kevin would go home with Avi and his parents. The Olusola's had agreed to let their son spend the night as long as he promised to keep things PG. He of course agreed, he hadn't even considered doing anything like that with Avi while the brunette's parents and sister were still in the house. Once the four had said their goodbye and loaded up, they made their toward Avi's. The younger couple cuddled up in the back seat together. No one had spoken much, everyone was too tired from all the excitement today had brought. However, the closer they were to home, the more Shelley felt the need to speak up.

"Boys, I know you two are very committed to each other. But I just want you to know that even though neither of you can get pregnant--"

"MOM!" Avi yelped, "please tell me you're not about to give me the sex talk! I'm 17 I know how to have safe sex."

"I know we've had it before but that was when you had a girlfriend. And now you have a boyfriend and there are other things to be concerned about."

"Mother, he's sitting right beside me. Don't talk as if he isn't here. And for the record we're both clean. And that's not even to say we are going to be having sex anytime soon."

Kevin spoke up then, "I'm sorry to interrupt Mrs. Kaplan. But Avi and I plan on taking the physical side of our relationship slow. He's the first guy I've ever been with so I need some time to work through things. However, I can assure you when we get to that point, we will be safe. I love Avi and I wouldn't risk hurting him in any possible way. I swear to you."

Shelley breathed a sigh of relief, "thank you Kevin. That puts me at ease, at least a little bit."

"Are you happy now ma? Kevin won't do anything without a condom. He promised, I promised, we're all good."

"Be nice to your mother Avi, she's just worried about you."

"I am being nice Kevin."

"No baby boy, you're being a bit snippy."

Avi sighed though he knew Kevin had a point, he adjusted himself so he was sideways in the seat and leaned his back against his boyfriend's chest. "You're right. I'm sorry mama. I think I'm just tired."

"It's okay sweetie. You've had a long day and a rough year but things will be better from now on." His mother turned to smile at her son and how at peace he seemed in Kevin's arms.

"It's already better. I'm going home. I've got y'all. I've got Kevin. I'm actually happy." He smiled when Kevin leaned down and kissed the top of his head before wrapping his arms back around Avi's waist. "So very happy."
