A/n: Look at me with all the updates lately. Hope you're enjoying the story. -AV

Scott was transported back to the facility. He walked through the gates knowing that it would be at least 5 months before he stepped out of them again. He wanted to cry but knew he couldn't. He was in for months and he had to learn not to show weakness. He couldn't become a target.

He changed out of his nice suit, replacing it with the standard jumpsuit, tank top, and slippers. He was surprised that instead of being lead to his cell he was taken into a visitation room. He settled in to wait for whoever was there to see him. Moments later three red-eyed, slightly frazzled women walked in.

Sara-Beth broke down first, "I'm so sorry Scott. I really thought we'd get off better than this. It's all my fault."
Summer reached over to hold her hand soothing her.
"It's not your fault, it's not anyone's fault but Alex. I'm not blaming anybody. I'm going to take responsibility for the fact that I did indeed start the fight, however justified I was, I still threw the first punch. I deserve some type of punishment."
Amber looked at him through her own tears, "you don't deserve this Scott. You may think you do but you don't honey. I've watched grow so much over the past few years. You're a good person."
Scott smiled through his sadness before he made a realization. "Wait, where's Kyle? Is Mitch here?!?"
Summer responded this time, "Ky took Mitch home. He begged us to bring him but we didn't think either of you could handle it. Maybe tomorrow he can come by."
"That's probably for the best. He shouldn't have to see me like this."
"You're going to be okay Scott." Summer promised.

Scott wasn't so sure.

Mitch sat quietly in the backseat of Daniel's car. He could hear the two men mumbling but didn't care enough to attempt to make out what they were saying.

"Mitch," Kyle called for the tenth time before finally getting the teen's attention.
"Hmmmm."
"You want to stop for food? I know you may not feel like eating but you skipped lunch. You need something."
"Yea, we can. I'm not promising to eat a lot though. I already feel sick."
"I'm just asking that you try."

Mitch noticed that Daniel took his hand from the steering wheel and grabbed Kyle's sending an ache through his chest. When he would let Scott drive his car, he did the same thing.

"Can I ask a question?"
"Of course Mitch. What is it?"
"How long have you two been together?"

Dan and Kyle shared a look.

"Kyle was 17, I was 15. So 12 years."
"Damn."
"We know we're old," Kyle laughed.
"That's good though."
Daniel looked at his partner with such love Mitch was sure he would die at how beautiful it was. "It's been tough at times but it's been worth it. Because being with him is perfect. He's perfect."
"Far from perfection babe."
They were at a stop light, Daniel took the opportunity to lean over and peck the music teacher's lips, "you're perfect to me."
Mitch chimed in again, "how has it been tough?"
Kyle continued, "we didn't go through what you and Scott are having to suffer but we had our fair share of struggles."
"What kind... I'm sorry I'm being nosy... I shouldn't ask personal questions."
"Mitch it's okay. Kyle why don't you tell him the stories." Kyle nodded and began.

He told Mitch about how the two of them met in church of all places. How Kyle was 14 when he saw an adorable kid playing piano after choir practice. Their friendship blossomed and soon they both knew there was more to it. However, being raised by conservative baptist parents caused both of them to distance themselves from each other.

Flash forward to a couple of years later. Kyle was a junior, Daniel was starting high school. A star baseball player who was so deep in the closet it wasn't even funny. A scrawny freshman that couldn't hide the fact he was queer no matter how hard he tried. Kyle walked into the locker room one day after baseball practice to find members of his time torturing some kid. He didn't realize who it was at the time but he's never stand for bullying especially from his players.

After Kyle saved Dan they rekindled their friendship and of course the old feelings that never died. They started seeing each other secretly. Getting caught when Amber busted into Kyle's house unexpectedly. After that they decided to take things public. It was Kyle's senior year, he lost all his friends with the exception of Amber and Summer and Daniel of course. But they were out and relatively happy until Kyle's father decided he was done with him. Thankfully his grandmother took him in, allowing him to stay at her old plantation home. The house the quartet lives in now. Kyle was willed it when his grandmother passed away a few years ago.

Kyle told of the time that Daniel left him to study in Germany for six months. How while he was there he got drunk and hooked up with some guy. How though he was heartbroken, Kyle got on a plane anyway, continuing with his plan to surprise his boyfriend for his birthday. How some how they made it through that very dark period of mistrust and self loathing.

He spoke of the fact that Dan doesn't technically live with them. He has his own apartment with two roommates. However, he spends more time at the plantation that he does at his place.

And finally Kyle told of the day a few months ago when he claims Daniel had made him the happiest man in the world. There are vineyards that surround the plantation and a large gazebo that Kyle has decorated beautifully with the help of Amber, Summer, and Sara-Beth. Took Daniel to the middle of the gazebo and sang their song. When he was finished, he proposed. Daniel said yes and they are in the throes of planning a wedding.

Mitch was crying by the end of the story session.

"Do you think Scott and I can make it?"
"Honestly Mitch I have no doubt you can. I've seen the love you two share. It's something I know is real because I feel it when I look at Danny."
"Thank you."
"No problem. You two will have to work for it, but it'll be worth it. I promise."

Mitch was sure it would be.
