Soon Mrs. Lovett was seeing herself out, while Scott and Mitch continued to sit in the floor and play with the small blonde baby.

"Scott," Amber called, "the spare room on your floor has been turned into a nursery for Dmitri. We go the necessities and figured you and Mitch could do some online shopping for now until you can go out."
"I don't know how to thank you all. It was one thing for you to adopt me. But now fostering my son. It's unbelievable."
"You're welcome. Why don't you and Mitch take the baby upstairs and see what's up there. Maybe he'll play while you two get your homework done. Dinner will be ready at 6."
Mitch nodded and stood up, Scott doing the same before grabbing the baby.

Once they were settled, Scott and Mitch in the older boy's room, Dmitri in the pack and play they had found in the closet, Mitch spoke up.

"He looks just like you Scotty. I just can't believe it."
"He does, doesn't he?" Scott smiled over at the young child babbling while chewing on his stuffed bear. "I'm not sure how I'm going to take care of him but I know I want to."
"You'll do just fine babe. And you've got a whole bunch of people here to help you. Me included."
"Thanks Mitchy." Scott leaned over and kissed the brunette deeply, not stopping until he heard Dmitri crying.
Mitch pulled back and stood up going over to the child. "Oh no baby boy. What's the matter?" He said in a small voice. He picked the baby up before scrunching his nose up. "Oh goodness. Dmitri has got a stinky diaper. Is that what's got the baby so mad? Huh? Do you want your daddy to get that yucky thing off?" Mitch looked pointedly at Scott who froze, he had never changed a diaper before. "Say it's okay daddy, Mitchy will help you." Mitch smiled and nodded his head toward the nursery where there was a changing table and supplies.

Mitch laid the boy down and unzipped and removed his little pants after grabbing the diaper, wipes, and powder.  He quickly undid the diaper, folding it so he could pull it away without getting everything around them dirty. H then wiped and powdered, adding a fresh diaper and slipping Dmitri's pants back on. All the while Scott watched amazed.

"Where did you learn that?"
"Sunday school. Back when we still went to church, I would alway go help mom with the little kids instead of actually listening to the service. I guess it paid off."
"Yea, it did," Scott leaned down to kiss Mitch before taking his son. "He's so tiny. I thought they were supposed to be bigger by now."
"Well, he's autistic and has some developmental delays. That's why he can't talk yet. Didn't you hear Mrs. Lovett explain everything?"
"I did but I was more concerned with him. Plus, I didn't really understand."
"Let's go finish your homework, then we can do some research okay? Figure out the best way to help this little guy." Mitch reached to tickle Dmitri's belly causing the child to squirm and smile.
"Did Mitchy get you Dee? Oh, no. We've got to run away from the evil tickle monster!" Scott growled as he took off, bouncing his son more than usual as Mitch chased them giggling. Dmitri continued to giggle and both boys just couldn't get enough of it.

Eventually, they got the baby settled back in his playpen and the two began working on Scott's homework. It didn't take long for them to finish and soon they were cuddled together just watching as the small blonde boy dozed off with his stuffed elephant.

"Can you believe he's mine Mitchy? Like I have a kid?"
"Yea, I can. He looks just like you."
"Thank you Mitch."
"For?" Mitch turned to look at Scott noticing the change in his voice.
"For not leaving me when I told you about him and not rejecting me after everything that's went on. No one would have blamed you if you had."
"Scotty, I love you and I think I might be falling for your mini me too. I'm not leaving you babe. Ever. I love you always. Unconditionally."
