After getting some food in her system and some coffee, Jessica was able to get up, drink some Advil and start packing their luggage.

By 11 am they were on their way home. Jessica finally feeling much better than before, was excited to see her children. She couldn't wait to see them after a whole month away.

Jessica did feel a little sad that she wasn't going to be acting for a while, but being able to spend more time with not only Emma but all her children out weighed that sadness.

When they pulled into their driveway, she saw that all her kids were there seeing Adam's, Isabelle's and Ethan's car already parked in the driveway.

The kids heard the car pulling up, so they walked outside to greet their parents.

When Jessica gets out of the car, she is surrounded by her kids. She hugs them one by one then she hugs them all close to her in a group hug.

"It's good to see you too, dad." Danny mumbles in a joking way. He put his hands in the front pockets of his jeans, looked at the ground with puppy dog eyes and continued, "Missed you too, dad."

They all laugh and the kids all go to greet their father. They then make their way into the house, while Ethan and Adam help their dad with the luggage.

Once everyone is settled in the living room, Adam and Anthony ask Jessica if they can talk to her in private.

Jessica guides them into the kitchen and she waits for them to speak.

"So, as promised, you are the first to know..." Adam began, "We decided to go ahead with surrogacy."
"Oh my goodness!" Jessica exclaimed, but regretted it. Her headache still there but she didn't show her discomfort. "That's wonderful."

She hugs Adam and Anthony and Adam continues speaking. "While you were away, we did start the process. We will be using my...uh, well, you know and now we just have to choose a surrogate. So until then, we are going to keep this between us."
"Alright. So, have you met any potential surrogates yet?" Jessica asked as she opened the refrigerator door and grabbed a water bottle.

"We've met a few of them, but have yet to pick one yet." Anthony said, "Although we're hoping to choose one we do have in mind. However we have to speak to her first."
"Well she better say yes or she'll have me to deal with!" Jessica said playing around, not knowing they wanted Isabelle to be their surrogate. "But of course it's her decision. She's going to be doing this huge thing and taking nine months out of her life for this. This is huge."

"We know." Adam said, "And we will be forever grateful to whoever we choose."

They then make their way to the living room. Jessica sat with Danny and he put his arm around her to hold her close.

"I don't feel like cooking tonight." Jessica said, "Is it okay with everyone if we can order something?"

Isabelle chuckled, "Does this have something to do with how good you were feeling at Paleyfest?"

Jessica groaned just thinking about her fun night.

"Look, you know how I get nervous during these things. More so since it was my last Paleyfest." She said, "I needed something to relax me." She sighed, rolling her eyes, "Okay, I went overboard, so sue me."

They all chuckle and Danny said, "It's okay, babe, I'll cook dinner tonight. You just sit back and relax."
"Thank you, honey." Jessica said as she gave him a kiss on his lips.

They all settle down again and just catch up with how everyone is doing. Emma missed her mother a lot, so she moved closer to Jessica's side and cuddled close to her. No matter that she is fifteen years old, she is a mommy's girl. Jessica held her close and relished the moment.

They spent the rest of the next few hours just together as a family.

Sometime later, Isabelle had gone to the use the bathroom and before she could enter the living room, Adam pulled her away and said, "Hey, sis, uh, after dinner, Anthony and I would like to talk to you about something."
"Is everything alright?" Isabelle asked because she could tell whatever it was, was causing her brother to be nervous.
"Everything is good. It's nothing bad." Adam said, "Just that it's really important and it's a secret for now. So please don't say anything."
"Oh! A secret." Isabelle smirked, she loved being in on secrets. "Okay, I won't say anything. Ah, I want to know now!"

"Shhh..." Adam chuckled, "Soon."

They return to their family and an hour later the doorbell rang. Danny had gone to the kitchen over an hour ago to start on dinner. He was now close to finishing up.

Jessica walked over to answer it. "Hi Matthew! It's good to see you." She said happily.
"Welcome home." Matthew said as he gave her a hug. "It's good to see you too. Oh, I hope you don't mind but..." he stood to the side and revealed a woman with blonde hair standing behind him. "...I invited Stevie. And also my father, Kim Anderson. Dad, this is Isabelle's mother, Jessica."

"Stevie! Hello." Jessica said as she greeted Stevie Nicks first with a hug. Jessica had to bend down a little because Stevie was only 5,1. "Of course I don't mind. And Hello Mr. Anderson, nice to meet you." She turned her attention to Kim and shook his hand. "Come on in."
"Please, call me Kim." Kim replied.

"Hello, Jessica." Stevie said with a smile. "It's good to see you again."
"It's good to see you again too." Jessica replied as she led them all inside after closing the door behind them.

When they reached the living room, everyone turned and saw Stevie enter the living room.

When they first met Stevie, the kids were starstruck. Especially Emma. Emma was a huge Stevie Nicks fan.

But now knowing Stevie for a while, they greeted her normally. Stevie felt welcomed and welcomed in the Huston household.

Isabelle had met Kim before so she introduced him to the rest of her family. Danny was still in the kitchen cooking so he would have to meet Kim later.

Stevie and Jessica ended up in a conversation so everyone else broke off into small groups and just talked. Emma was on her own for a bit but then drifted to her mother and joined Stevie and Jessica.

Fifteen minutes later, Danny walked into the living room to let everyone know that dinner was ready. He then noticed Stevie and Kim but of course he didn't know who he was.

"Hello, Stevie." Danny said as he greeted her with a hug and kiss on her cheek.
"Hello, Danny." Stevie replied, "It's good to see you."

"Danny, I would like to introduce you to my father..." Matthew said as he and Kim walked over to Danny. "...Kim Anderson. Dad, this is Danny Huston."

The two men shook hands then Danny said, "Nice to meet you."
"Nice to meet you too." Kim replied.
"I hope you are all hungry." Danny said, "Dinner is ready. Please follow me to the dining room."

Everyone filed out of the living room and into the dining room. The table was set and Jessica just looked at her husband with so much love.

Danny always did things for Jessica even when Jessica didn't ask. Especially when she was having a bad day or felt sick. He just knew what she liked and what she didn't like. The same with her to him. They were soulmates.

"Thank you for cooking, honey." Jessica said, as she leaned into him for a hug. "I love you." She then kissed his lips.
"I love you too." He replied with a smile.

They all then sat down; Danny sat at the head of the table, Jessica sitting to his right. Stevie sat next to Jessica and Emma sat beside Stevie. Anthony sat next to Emma and at the other end, sat across from Danny was Adam. Ethan sat next to Adam and Isabelle and Matthew took the remaining seats and Kim sat next to Danny.

Danny had cooked meatloaf with mash potatoes and corn. Also green beans and a salad.

They dug in and as they ate, there was easy conversation all around the table.

Once their meal was eaten, they all set back except for Isabelle who volunteered to bring the dessert.

When she returned, Matthew stood up as she placed a chocolate cake on the table. Everyone else didn't notice since they were immersed in conversations.

"Uh, everyone." Matthew said nervously, "Can I have your attention please?"

Everyone stopped speaking then turned towards Matthew and Isabelle. Isabelle creased her eyebrows and was very confused as to what was going on.

"I just wanted to say, that I am so happy to have everyone here for dinner tonight." He began, "I'm glad my father got to meet the rest of the Houston's and Stevie well, you may not be my biological mother nor did you raise me as a child, but you were there for me through my teen years and that when I most needed you the most. You are my mother and I know my mom is looking down right now smiling at us."

Stevie had tears in her eyes; she didn't think Matthew felt that way about her. Her heart melted and she smiled through her tears.

"So, I am glad that...that both my parents are here to witness this moment." Matthew said; he then pulled something out of his pocket as he got down on one knee.

Jessica's eyes widened, Danny nodded to himself not at all surprised. Matthew spoke to Danny a couple weeks ago of his plans. Everyone else stood still and waited.

"Isabelle Marie Huston, I am so lucky to know you and call you my girlfriend." He said as Isabelle's tears began, "We've been through a lot these past two years and we got through them. Through the happy and the bad. We made so many happy memories together and I realized that I want to make many more happy memories as husband and wife. So, Isabelle, will you marry me?"

Jessica and Stevie had tears in their eyes and it seemed as they were holding their breath as they waited for Isabelle's answer. Kim smiled proudly at his son and Danny was being neutral but only because Isabelle was his little girl and he felt a bit sad. Emma too was giving off as if she didn't care, but on the inside she was very happy for her older sister. Anthony, Adam and Ethan too held in their breath and they waited.

"Yes!" Isabelle exclaimed, "Yes, Matthew I'll marry you!"

Jessica and Stevie jumped out of their seats and were the first to hug the newly engaged couple. Danny and Kim were next to congratulate the couple then finally Isabelle's siblings and Anthony congratulated them.

After congratulations we're given all around, Jessica cut the cake and passed it around. Adam excused himself and Anthony followed after him.

"You okay, honey?" Anthony asked.
"I'm happy for my sister." Adam said, "I really am. But now she may not be able to...to help us." Tears rolled down his face.
"Hey..." Anthony said gently, he put his hand on Adam's cheek and gently caressed it. "We will have our own family some day. We will continue our search for the right person to carry our child. We just have to be a little more patient."

Adam smiled through his tears at his husband and gently grabbed Anthony's hand. He placed a kiss on it then replied, "You're right. I have to learn more patience. I just..."
"I know." Anthony said with a chuckle. "We will get there, Adam. We will."

Adam hugged then kissed Anthony and they were soon back to celebrating Matthew's and Isabelle's engagement.

I just wanted to say how sorry I am for not updating often. I haven't been in the best state of mind. Without going into detail, just know that I am taking the steps to heal.

I will still be updating I just don't know how often.
