Danny and Jessica arrived at their hotel the next day. Danny could tell that there was something on Jessica's mind.

When he had gotten home, Adam had already left after spending sometime with her mother. Jessica hadn't told Danny about Adam's visit yet.

They put their luggage away and Jessica slumps down onto the bed. She thought about her eldest son and the heartache of not being able to adopt. She wished there was something she could do to help.

"Jess, are you okay?" Danny asked, taking a seat beside her.
"Adam came by yesterday when you were out." Jessica said as she looked over at him. "He and Anthony had a meeting with the adoption agency that morning. They were denied. They aren't able to adopt." Tears appeared in her eyes. "They were so excited to have a chance of starting their own family. But some bitch told them that she couldn't let them adopt because they are a gay couple." Anger replaced the sadness just thinking of the person who denied her son of having a family of his own.

"What?" Danny said as his brow furrowed, "What does them being gay have to do with giving a child a nice home and loving parents?"
"Oh come on, Danny." Jessica said a little annoyed. "She was a Bible thumper. Adam said she began reciting Bible scriptures at them."

"Wow, that is horrible." Danny said feeling bad for his son. "I...I can't believe that person let their own beliefs get in the way like that. Is there something we can do?"
Jessica shook her head, "Believe me, I wanted to march down to that agency and give them a good talking to. But Adam stopped me. So now, Adam and Anthony are going to look into surrogacy. I just hope and pray things go well for them if they choose to go that route."

Danny pulls her close to him and hugs her tight. "I'm sure things will work out." He said reassuringly.
Jessica sighed and relaxed into his arms. "I hope you're right."

Danny kissed the top of her head and said, "We should get some rest."

Jessica nods and they both go about their evening having some dinner then getting ready for bed.

*June*

Throughout the course of a month, Adam and Anthony talked things through. They did get into a few arguments about surrogacy. The reason was because they were so set on adoption and they were afraid of being denied again. But finally they came to a decision. They will be going through surrogacy.

They found a really great medical center that specializes in infertility and surrogacy. They felt so welcomed unlike the adoption agency.

Also, they decided to use Adam's sperm because he and Anthony got their sperm tested. It turns out that Anthony has a low sperm count. It was heartbreaking to hear but they got through it together. The next step now was finding a surrogate.

They had begun their search and even meeting a few women. Some were first timers and some had been surrogates a few times before. But Adam just couldn't get himself to choose. He for sure didn't want a first timer. So he looked more into the women who have been surrogates before. However, he felt none of them met his standards or more specifically his trust.

"Honey, we really need to choose someone soon." Anthony said as he and Adam laid in bed, "If we want to welcome our baby in the new year we have to pick someone."
Adam sighed, "I know. I just...I'm nervous. I...I kind of want to ask Isabelle if she is willing to be our surrogate."
"Your sister?!" Anthony said in shock.
"Yes, my sister." Adam couldn't help but chuckle at the look on his husband's face. "I read more programs they have at the medical center. There's one where we can use a donor egg. That way it won't be too weird to ask my sister to do this for us. Babe, I just...I..." he sighed, "I'm sure those women we met know what they are doing and can do this for us. But, I would feel a lot better if we ask someone we know. My sister is the only choice I can think of. Well, the only other person I would trust with this is my mom. But she's passed that point of her life."

Anthony looked at Adam with so much love. He loved Adam with his whole heart. The fact that Adam took the time to look into more options such as using a donor egg just confirmed that Adam was an amazing husband.

"Well, it wouldn't hurt to ask." Anthony said, "Alright, we can ask her and...and if she says no well, we continue the search."

Adam smiled and kissed Anthony's lips. They continue to talk about other things until they got sleepy and went to bed.

Danny woke up and found Jessica still under the covers. It was the day after Paleyfest. Paleyfest was in Los Angeles but they had decided to stay in a hotel closer to where it was being held.

"Jess?" Danny said as he reached out to her.
"Stop." Jessica said in a annoyed voice.
Danny smirked and continued, he brought the covers down from Jessica's face. "Come on, Jess. We need to get going. We have to go home. Remember you wanted to have dinner with everyone tonight."

Jessica turned away from Danny and pulled the covers back up to her face. "I changed my mind. I just want to sleep."
Danny chuckled, "I think it's the liquor talking. Because I know last night you were excited to see all your babies."

Jessica groaned at the word liquor. Last night she went overboard and drank a little too much. She was even a little buzzed during the panel part of Paleyfest. Then after of course she drank more at the after party.

"I'm never going to drink like that again." Jessica said in a voice that sounded like she was crying.

Danny felt bad for her, so he gently turned her over and held her close to him. Jessica rested her head on his chest and hugged him tight.

"Alright, get some more rest and in a little bit, I'll order some room service and order something small. Also, some coffee." Danny said as he rubbed her back.
"Okay." She said in a small voice, closing her eyes and drifted off to sleep.

Danny smiled and kissed the top of her head.
