Pride

"What?" Danny said, "Grandparents Day? But We're not grandparents."

Jessica caught on right away and jumped up to hug her son. "Oh my goodness! We're going to be grandparents?! I'm going to be a grandma?" She had happy tears in her eyes.

Adam finally smiled wide; when the doctor read the results and told them Ava was pregnant, he felt this immense relief and joy.

"Yeah, we got the results this afternoon. We're pregnant!" Anthony said with a smile on his face as he stood up.

Jessica then hugged him then went over to Ava. "Just know, we are going to spoil you rotten! You're carrying my grand baby and I am so grateful. Thank you for helping my son and son in law at achieving their dream of having a family." She then gave Ava a hug.

Everyone stands up and congratulated Adam and Anthony. Also they told Ava how she was apart of the family now.

Ava felt so at ease with the Huston family and all her worries drifted away. She couldn't wait to see Adam and Anthony hold their baby in their arms.

The rest of the evening was spent celebrating and talking to each other about how excited they were for a new member of the family.

*8 weeks pregnant*

Things were going smoothly for the Huston family. Ava had been welcomed easily into the family and had been over to Danny's and Jessica's for dinner a few times for the past six weeks.

Ava felt so at ease being around them and she couldn't wait to give this family what they have always been wanting.

"So how are feeling?" Ethan asked then took a sip of his soda.
"Well, besides the morning sickness, I feel good." Ava said with a small chuckle.

Ethan and Ava have gotten closer in such a short time. They became fast friends and today they were hanging out in the music studio where Ethan's band was recording their album. Ethan had invited Ava to hang out for the day.

Even though Ava didn't dress alternative, she and Ethan had a lot in common.

They were currently on a lunch break and were waiting for their food to be delivered. The rest of the band sat around either strumming a guitar or bass or just skimming through a magazine.

"The album is sounding amazing!" Ava commented. "I think it's great that you and the band got this record deal."
"Thanks." Ethan smiled, "It has been a long journey but we did it."

"Can I ask you something?" Ava asked cautiously.
"Sure." Ethan replied with a nod.

"Did your parents ever offer to...to help speed up the process of getting signed?" She asked.

"I mean, yeah. My mom especially." Ethan replied, "She's not in the music industry but she's knows people that are. I never accepted though. If the band and I were going to make it, really make it; I wanted to do on my own with no help. That way I can prove to myself that our band could do it based on our talent and not because of who my parents are."

"That's amazing." Ava said with a smile, "And look! You all did it."

Ethan nodded and couldn't help the feeling of pride that spread through him. He felt accomplished but he knew the band still needed to finish the album, release it then see what the audiences thought of it. Hopefully the response would go over well and they will get more recognition which will hopefully lead to more fans.

Soon, one of the studio assistants walked into the studio with everyone's lunch. Everyone gathered around and ate while they shared some casual conversation.

After lunch, the band went on with their day continuing the recording of their album.

Ava stuck by Ethan's side in the studio until 10 pm. Ava was exhausted but she wouldn't have it any other way.

Ethan just had this aura about him that made her feel at ease. She hadn't met anyone like him. The guys she had tried to date before were either trying to get her in bed on their first date or were just jerks. Ava was interested in Ethan but she wasn't sure if he was interested in her.

After leaving the studio, Ethan apologized to Ava for having her in the studio for so long.

"It's okay." Ava replied, "I enjoyed myself and it was interesting experience. I never knew what it takes to record an album."
"I'm glad you enjoyed yourself." He said with a smile.

Ethan was driving Ava home and he was currently at a stop light.

"Ah...Ava...?" he began feeling nervous.
"Yeah?" She replied as she looked over at him.

"I ah, I was wondering, if you like to have dinner with me tomorrow night?" He asked apprehensively.

Ava smiled wide and nodded, "I would love to."
"Great!" Ethan said excitedly. "Alright, I'll pick you up at 7."

Ava nodded, her smile never left her face and she felt her heart skip a beat. She was really excited to be spending more time with Ethan.

Sorry for this short chapter but I needed a filler. More to come soon.
