Because I've been away for so long, and I know that some people here read Deranged and this book years ago, here is a recap of what we need to know from Deranged

1. Unchained is a prequel of Deranged. It takes place before Yoongi and Eunjung became the leader of FIRE, the biggest gang in Busan (and later East Asia). They are in their final year of high school in this book.

2. Leader Kim in Unchained is Kim Namjoon's dad, who will go on to become the leader of Bludhood, a gang he found specifically to oppose the Yoongi-led FIRE.

3. In Deranged Yoongi and Eunjung will go on to become two of the most powerful people in the underworld

4. Jimin will go on to become the notorious 'Busan Killer', a serial murderer active in Busan, who broke away from FIRE and went on to meet the love of his life - Song Yerin.

5. Jungkook will become the top executive of FIRE

I would recommend doing a quick re-reading Unchained if you don't really remember the plotline. But here a recap of what's happened so far in Unchained just to jog your memory.

1. Min Yoongi and Oh Eunjung were two of the most popular people in their school, the Busan Advance Collage. Initially Eunjung disliked Yoongi because she assumed he was just another boastful and arrogant popular boy that.

2. Eunjung's father Oh Changwoo is in the security business. Yoongi's father was an executive of FIRE under leader Kim before he was killed by the Polish mercenary Natasha Witek, when he jumped in front of a knife she threw at a leader Kim to save him. Mr Min and Oh Changwoo were the worst enemies and Oh Changwoo severely opposed Eunjung hanging out with Yoongi because he knew of Yoongi's ties to FIRE.

3. Natasha Witek was paid by a smaller gang in Daegu called the Pincers to do it.

3. Yoongi manipulated the teachers into putting him and Eunjung in the same group project so he could get closer to her and use her to further his plan in taking over FIRE.

4. The more they hung out, the more they each realised their compatibility. They end up falling for each other and when Yoongi's father died, Eunjung agreed to be his girlfriend to be there for him.

5. Other than Mr Min, Leader Kim has two other main executives: Ga Wookheon and Kim Gyeoongseok, who is the father of Kim Yugyeom.

6. Yoongi planned to sow a seed of distrust between Ga Wookheon and Leader Kim by sabotaging a meeting between FIRE and Seoulsangdeok, the top gang in Seoul. He did this by having Eunjung leak the plan to her father. Her father suspected a gang in Daegu, the Pincers, to be the source of the leak.

7. Park Jimin and Jeon Jungkoon are also in on Yoongi's plan of taking over FIRE. They both go to BAC's neighbouring school: the Busan High School (BHS). BAC sponsors BHS so the students of BAC look down on the students of BHS. A girl called Lee Miha, who has an ambiguous relationship with Jimin, was also in BHS. She disliked Yoongi. Her motive is yet to be known.

8. Yugyeom has a crush on Eunjung and tries to convince Eunjung to join him instead of Yoongi. It didn't work lmao.

9. Ga Wookheon had beef with Yoongi's father, and he passed that dislike naturally to Yoongi. So Yoongi and Eunjung changed the plan of making him loyal to Yoongi, and instead will try to make him loyal to Eunjung.

10. Yoongi has been given the responsibility of a high caliber underground casino ran by FIRE as a trial for his capability of becoming one of Leader Kim's executives.

11. They just 👀😉😏 🍆👅💦 in Eunjung's house and it turned out Eunjung's maid was planted there by her father to report back to him. Oh Changwoo has been informed of Yoongi and Eunjung's relationship and is now about to confront them about it. Dun dUN DUN!

So that's what's happened so far. However, I have a few small changes I'd like to make/add.

1. At Yoongi's dad's funeral, Leader Kim was wearing the official brooch for FIRE's Leader.

2. Kim Yugyeom is now called Han Yugyeom in this story. So his father (the bald man) is now called Han Gyeongseok ie. Mr Han. This is to avoid confusion with Leader Kim.

3. I decided I didn't like the name the Pincers for the smaller gang in Daegu so I changed their name to 'the Korean Tigers', or sometimes referred to as just the Tigers.

Other than these, I've gone back to change some other small things to make things flow smoother, but the plotline pretty much stays exactly the same.
