PART EIGHT
She got up hearing a growing sound, realising that her stomach needed food. Her throat was dry, and the feeling were as if she would die of dehydration. She looked towards the window only to find darkness and realising that it was 2 am. Her mind was still on a debate to go out for food or not because only he was present.
Hearing the growling sound again she realised that she has to go for food, no matter what, otherwise she would die starving. She got up from the floor, she was thrown on a while before and started moving to her room's door.
She tip-toed, not having any intention to make the demon up again and started moving to the steps. Unfortunately, the steps were of wood and how much anyone tries not to, the sounds are supposed to come out themselves. Still praying she headed to the steps trying to keep them as calm as possible. Once she was down, she ran to the kitchen.
She held a glass of water and gulped it down to her throat making it wet. After satisfaction with the liquid, she started searching for food. She checked the kitchen cabinets, shelves, utensils and what not; but obviously the house was out of food and supplies. Still searching she found a packet of glucose biscuits and grabbed it not before thanking her Shankerji.
She opened the packet and took out a biscuit to eat when she heard someone's breath just millimetres away from her body. She quickly tightened her hands on the biscuit packet and turned around finding who she didn't wanted to see any day in her life... The demon was just there...
She was just terrified to be caught, and him standing almost above her was as if her worst dream coming true.
"What are you doing her? he barked on the top of his voice. "I... I wanted to eat something... I didn't had food since past two days her voice was mere a whisper. His face suddenly had a dark smile as he chuckled and then started laughing. She was frightened and that was what he wanted.
"You are hungry, huh? he said snatching the packet from her hand and throwing it into a thrash can "Only the members of the house are allowed to eat here... and you are a bloody wh***. And I am done with you... So now wait till he comes and takes you in and out... So that I could enjoy myself with your prize... And you my dear chirraiya' sleep till then he said as he held her face in his palm and squeezed it.
"But I am not able to sleep, my stomach... before she could say anything she heard a bottle smashing and her head paining. Seconds after that, darkness scattered around and she found her eyelids dropping.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Her eyes popped opened, only to find someone's arm securely wrapped around her waist and his legs holding hers. She shifted her head and found Omkara, sleeping peaceful cuddling to her. A warm smile stretched on her face as she saw him soundlessly sleeping. His face muscles were calm and his perfect jawline was adoring. She couldn't stop herself from caressing his cheeks slowly remembering a few but blissful memories of them.
"Good morning Gauri he opened his eyes and lazily wished her. "I.. I am sorry... I didn't... she took her hands back hurriedly, only to make him smirk. "Well, today will definitely be the best day he said looking directly into her eyes. "Huh? she asked in a confused voice. "I woke up and saw the most beautiful face today... Obviously I will have a very very good day he answered making her blush.
"Gauri, what happened? You are sweating " he cupped her face sitting upright on the bed. "I... I... I saw a nightmare" she answered. "A nightmare again, what happened Gauri? Is there something wrong? You can trust me, tell me what's wrong" he said in a concerning voice. "N...No, nothing is wrong... Everything is fine... It's just stress maybe" she just couldn't make the eye contact.
"Just stress... Then why were you shouting yesterday as if pleading someone to leave you? Why were you saying that you would never do that again? And who is this Kaali? " he asked. She wanted to answer everything, tell him everything that happened to her, but then he will start hating her. Though she wanted him to get away but she didn't wanted him to hate her. She was unable to control her tears back and she started sobbing "I... I am sorry... I didn't wanted to hurt you... I am sorry" he said caressing her after holding her in his embrace.
"I am okay... I think you should go. Office hours are about to start and you would get late" she said getting out from his hold. "I think you should take a day off... You have not slept the whole night peacefully... You need rest" he said. "I don't need it... It's okay "she resisted. "It's an order Gauri... You have an off today" he said in an hard tone and she nodded in response.
He was just moving from the bed when her phone rang. "Hello... Yes this is Gauri... Really... You are serious right... Thank God... Yes, yes I am just coming... Tell him to wait for five minutes... I will be there" she hanged the call. "Thank you so much Shankerji... Thank you soo much" she joined her palms and a smile swept away her frowns.
"You seem happy. What happened?" he asked. She ran toward him and immediately hugged him tightly "Parth has gained consciousness... My little one is up... He is okay he is fine... My little one is fine " she murmured in his chest. He held her tightly "I am really happy for you" he said making her her break the hug. "I... I am sorry she moved back. "Let's go... He must be waiting for you" he said in an exciting tone. "Don't worry I will go" she declined the offer. "Oh come on... Go change and come soon" he said dragging her towards the washroom.
After she came, both of them sat in Omkara's car and drove to the hospital.
"Ma'am I need to see Parth" she went to the reception. "Ma'am you can, but first you need to pay the bills" the receptionist informed. "Okay, tell me the number" she asked. "It's ten lacks" her eyes widened. "I will ma'am but please let me see him" she pleaded. "Sorry ma'am, it's against our policies" the receptionist denied. "Ma'am listen I..." He cuts her off "here take this" he handed a cheque. "You don't need to..." he cuts her again "your little one must be waiting" he held her wrist and took her to the room told by the receptionist.
"Maasi" Parth shouted as Gauri and Omkara entered the room. "Parth, bachcha I am happy that you are fine" she hugged him with tears in her eyes. "Then you should not cry" Parth brushed the tears off. "Hey Jatadhari hippie" he said looking to Omkara. "Jatadhari hippie?" he asked confusingly. "He is just joking... Parth" she looked to Parth with wide eyes.
"No, what is it, I want to know" he came and sat on the chair next to Parth's bed. "Actually, maasi says that your temper rises anytime as Shankerji, so you are Jatadhari hippie" he told in a humorous voice.
"Jatadhari hippie" he raised a brow at Gauri. "No, it was just..." her cheeks started burning. He got close to her "I like it... Jatadhari hippie seems interesting" he whispered in her ears making her blush.
"Doctor when can I get him discharged? " Gauri asked the doctor after she tucked Parth to sleep. "You can take him tomorrow " he answered. "You both are coming with me to the Mansion" Omkara spoke from behind. Before she could speak "No... I am not listening anything. You both are coming with me that's it... And it's an order" he said. "But..." she said. "Nooo... You both are coming with me... Parth needs attention right now and you will not always be there... At least there will be people in my house to keep a check on him. Besides the doctors will be a call away and the Mansion is much closer to the hospital. And you also know that he would be getting the much needed rest" there he stated. "Okay... We will come with you" she sighed. "Good, come now Parth would be needing us any time" he smiled walking towards Parth's hospital room.
