Mark's point of view

It's been only a day since the guardians were murdered and everyone is still in the dark about it my dad is still in the hospital and he hasn't woken up yet. I've been going out more often as invincible but so far nothing come up that's world ending yet so I guess everything's okay for now

William reached towards me: Mark you have trouble

I look at him questionably: yeah, William, my dad's still in the hospital and hasn't woken up yet or have you forgotten?

William: I know that, but there's something else you're not gonna believe, I saw Amber with a guy yesterday at the mall and the two of them looked like they were on a date

I thought Amber was single at least she was two days ago: but Amber said she was single do you think she lied?

William: and maybe the guy gave me a look older than her but only by three years come to think of it kinda look like you... Only more handsome and muscular

Thank you for their visual William: really?

He didn't understand that I was being sarcastic: no I'm serious he was like you only the levelled-up version of you yet this kind of look of a gentleman with kindness written all over him so manly and muscular... I hope that they and Amber or anything because if they aren't swinging at him

He seriously does not notice the fact that I hate being compared to a guy who supposedly looks like me but is better looking whatever so Amber when to the mall with some guy doesn't necessarily mean they're dating she's come down the hallway now I could ask her

We know each other now so it's not weird for me just to go up and ask the right okay maybe it is but luckily I don't have to William seems to be way ahead of me for his reasons: hey Amber and William a friend of Marx I just Wanna ask I saw you at the mall with some guy what's his... Deal

Amber: oh you mean Alexander but he likes because Alex honestly I'm not sure what his deal is was the first time we met we just bumped into each other on the street he was known around town I offered to show him around if he carried my staff and we just went from there to say though he was weird but a good way

That's when I jump into the conversation: how can someone be weird in a good way doesn't seem normal

Amber: well I don't disagree with you that he seemed like a genuine gentleman, I picked up a bit of an accent but I couldn't quite tell where he was from. Plus when he dropped me off he didn't ask for anything in return I got my phone number or good race each other again he just said till we meet again which confused me because usually if a guy does something like that they ask for something in return mean it's just biology right

I would never... Okay yeah I would probably ask for something in return: maybe Alexander is gay

Amber shook her head: now you didn't seem like that bisexual maybe but he did seem like he was flirting with me sometimes in small doses it was kinda charming. He also had this whole way of looking at the world like you could only see its beauty is refreshing to hear his perspective of buildings he didn't see the beauty in the architect he saw the beauty in how it was being built up and how it became what it was rather eye-opening. And while he does admit that he's a bit of a flirt he knows when it's appropriate or not. 

Okay yeah that sounds like it would be interesting but come on this guy can't be that perfect: ever come on this guy cannot be that perfect and dividing on better I would say you have a bit of a crash

Amber: well it's  not your business, but honestly Alexander just seemed wise and a little bit naïve it's so strange when I told him that I would give him my number he didn't seem to know how to react like no one had done that before

While that's a good sign in my book that means no girl has ever been interested so that means you can be all that: maybe he's not as good as you think you  think he is

Amber getting annoyed for some reason: yeah Alex knows he's not perfect... Hell he's dealing with a lot right now but that doesn't mean he's a good person and appreciate it if you don't try putting it into my personal life

she getting so angry I'm just pointing out that the guys obviously have flaws whereas I don't have any to speak of. I mean I'm a superhero. I'm like the perfect guy

suddenly, her phone rings and she lights up a little no don't tell me: it's Alexander I gotta go 

She leaving us in the dust who is this guy? Why is he called Amber's attention? Just by talking, I took a beating for her and all I got was a hello 

How's that fair no it's not. I should be the one she's getting excited to get a call about a superhero for God sake sure she doesn't know that but I'm practically a God walking among men

(remember I said that this mark isn't gonna be evil, but he's not gonna be good either. He's gonna be neutral so he's still gonna be a bit of an ass.)

narrators point of view

While Amber made her way outside to take the phone call, she had no idea that she was going to be connecting with someone who was outside the solar system

Alexander had returned back to his ship after a few days of exploring the planet he needed to return home he missed his pets fang and claw you also thought it would be a good idea to make a cell phone using his 3-D printer that he had to board his ship that way he didn't have to purchase one

The way he was communicating with Amber is by using the small selection of satellites that were around the solar system. He bounced his phone call using them as enhancer to get it all the way back to earth and to Amber and without any extra cost.

Amber back on Earth: hello Alex is that you?

Alex responded: yeah it's me... Figured it was about time I tried to call you... Sorry it took so long

Amber chuckled: it's alright... Honestly you saved me from a pretty awkward conversation... So what's up?

Alex rubbing the back of his head rubber sheepishly he was nervous that was a new one: well... I was wondering if you wanted to... Maybe... Well hang out not at the community centre I just mean the two of us

Amber blushed on the other end: hold on are you asking me out on a date?

The man on the spaceship immediately turned that down: no no... I just mean hang out as friend... I'm not ready to have another relationship I'm still getting over with what happened with my last ex... But I would like to just hang out with a friend it's been a while since I've had one

Amber: oh... Just his friends OK sure maybe we can do something later today?

Alexander: that sounds lovely... maybe we can discuss where we can meet and then wait a minute fang what are you doing here?... Fang no don't touch that no no no no no.! sorry Amber I've gotta go fang is becoming very playful and that means he's gonna start breaking things.

that wasn't a complete lie except for the fact that Amber was still under the impression that fang was a dog a very big one and not a dinosaur from outer space

Because he wanted his pets to have more independence he allowed them to walk around the ship. He was trying to teach them to be careful but of course sometimes they got a bit playful especially fing

The human woman could hear the commotion that the pet was making she chuckled to herself imagining what was going on: okay I'll talk to you later

She hung up the phone and leaned back against the wall, smiling to herself: hanging out as friends... it's a start

back on the ship, Alexander was having to wrestle with his pet fang to get him to leave the cockpit before he broke any more controls

Jarvis: I apologise sir I should've alerted you that Fang was getting close

Alexander: yeah well it's too late for that now... It looks like I'm gonna need to do is fill in the claw marks and everything should be fine. Might need to rewire some things though nothing I haven't done before.

Jarvis: of course sir but may I make an observation... Normally by this time? If you've met a female you would've "sealed the deal by now" may I ask what is so different about this... Human girl named Amber

Alexander chuckled: truthfully Jarvis I have no idea. I'm just happy when I'm with her happier than I've ever been in a while and I don't wanna screw this one up like my last relationships. I just want her to be around not as a romantic partner but as a friend

Jarvis: judging by your heart rate that appears to be a lie

Alexander rolled his eyes: Jarvis I told you to stop monitoring my vitals!

Jarvis: apologies sir but it is my job to make sure that you are healthy and it appears that you are... Lying to yourself you would like this am as a romantic partner

Alex: okay... That's enough of that Jarvis why don't you turn yourself off for a while?

The AI assistant: of course, sir

There was no silence in the cockpit as Alexander sat down back in his main chair, looking out at the stars in front of him

He then began to speak to himself: it's amazing I've been to so many stars I've lost count and so many planets I met so many people and yet... For some reason I've when I'm with Amber, I feel as happy as the day I did when I was with my parents and yet I still have no idea why only know is I just want her to be around
