Chapter 1.
First off, I just looked at the views of my book "The Fourth Miraculous Book 1" and it has 222 READS! Thatd amazing for me!!! Anyways, this book starts where Jessica has lived in the country for at least a week, and the morning she meets Rescue the husky. Enjoy!
"I hate it here!" Jessica groaned as she slammed The door to her room. She brushed her hair out of her face and plopped on The bad, rewarded with a loud creak of protest as she landed. She turned on her back and stared at The ceiling. "There's nothing to do!" she said.
The sixteen year old girl brushed her Brown hair out of her face and looked at her phone. Still no messages from her friends. She sighed and layed her phone down. "Might as well take a walk" she muttered and rolled out of bed. As her feet hit the floor, a loud creaking noise followed by a bang sounded around her room. She sighed and put her shoes on.
As she reached the outside, the cold wind brushed her pale face. She shivered slightly and pulled her jacket tightly around herself. She walked and as she did, the crunching of snow pierced the silent, cold air. She gave a sigh, and her breath trickled from her mouth and hung in front of her in the form of a fog. She brushed her Brown hair out of her face, showing her blue eyes. She entered the forest that lay near her house. She looked around at the bare trees that stood proud and tall above her. They were so tall, Jessica would have thought that if she climbed one, her pale, skinny fingers would brush a cold, light, snowy cloud. But, she kept walking. She froze as she heard a crunch sound nearby, followed by a loud growl. Dark Brown shaggy fur lumbered slowly towards her. Jessica's breathing quickened, and the fog that was her breath appeared more often. She backed up as the grizzly neared, and she crouched down slowly to the nearest stick. She picked it up, ready to fight. The grizzly got to close, and she swung her stick at it, replied to with a loud crack on the bears head. Bad idea. The grizzly let out a loud snarl/roar that anyone could hear for miles. She yelped and ran, dropping the stick. As she ran, she tripped on a log, Faceplanting in the cold, unforgiving snow. She gasped and raised her head to look behind her. The grizzly hovered very closely. Jessica shut her eyes tightly, hoping that the bear would go away when her eyes parted, but when she opened her eyes, the grizzly was even closer. She gave up hope and braced herself, thinking she would be bitten and torn to shreds and killed within moments. She could already foresee her blood staining the snow when she would be attacked. But when she opened her eyes, the only thing she saw was a light tan-red-and-white-furred wolf-like dog standing in front of her, snarling and barking at the grizzly. The grizzly stepped closer and the dog snarled harder, showing his extremely sharp teeth to the bear. The bear snarled walked closer, faster than before. The dog snapped it's teeth at the bears neck as the grizzly reared on its back legs. The bear roared, and blood welled from where the dog had bitten the bear. The bear snarled and backed away slowly, before retreating back into the clump of trees behind him
