rowaciira shout out to you for being the first person to figure out Jim's secret.

Earlier That day.
"Should we wake her up?" Jazz whispered but it wasn't really a whisper because Hayley stirred.
"No need. Your loud mouth did the work for us" Shree retorted feeling irritated. She'd come here to catch a few minutes of sleep with Hayley but Jazz wouldn't shut up. All week she had been running around trying to make this wedding perfect. And as much as she was happy for her friend, she needed a fee hour's sleep.
"It's already time for her to wake up or she'll go to her wedding looking like a blotched cake. Hayley get up am done tiptoeing around you"
Hayley groaned pulling the covers over herself and turning away from Jazz. It was okay when she was pretending to whisper but now it felt like her mouth was loaded with loud speakers. "Go away"
"Nope. You haven't showered or had your makeup done or your hair. Oh my God your nails and eyebrows and...." a hand clamped over her mouth cutting her off.
"Breathe Jasmine." When she tried to talk into her hand Hayley raised an eyebrow as if to ask her if she was going to shut up and Jazz nodded. "Okay. Now care to tell me why you're all camping out in my bedroom?"
"Not camping. Waiting for you to wake up." Shree told her.
"Whatever happened to beauty sleep?"
"Don't know. Don't care." Jazz said getting up and pulling on her hand. "We've got massages first then mani-pedi. After that you're going to shower then we can start with your hair and makeup. Sounds good? Great let's get moving people" she didn't give them time say anything. They were out the door heading to a guest room where the masseurs were waiting for them. To Hayley it was still early. The wedding was scheduled to start at two in the afternoon and she didn't appreciate her friends waking her up at eight in the morning. Last night she'd spent half of it talking and making out with her fiancé even though tradition dictated that the groom shouldn't see the bride until the wedding.
Of course JR wasn't one to follow any rules so they spent the night trying to talk because he wouldn't let her finish a sentence without kissing her. He made promises and for the first time Hayley was tempted to believe him. He didn't say their marriage would be perfect. Only that when they fought or when things were rough, he would make sure to take all the blame and make it up to her. Even if it was her fault and not his. He was ready to try and make it work so why wouldn't she? Three hours later in the middle of a pedicure Alexis showed up in a cute pink robe. "Morning honey" Hayley called out.
"Morning mom. Why is life so hard?" she sighed taking a seat beside her and putting her hands and legs out.
"What is it now? I'm the one who should be saying that. Not you"
"I understand these things too. And JR is a big baby. You wouldn't believe how freaked out he is"
Hayley frowned. "Is that supposed to calm me down?"
"I'm not here to calm you down mom. I still need to get my hair done then put on my dress without ruining my hairstyle."
"You sound like a grown up"
"I am a grown up. Which color are we painting our nails?" She asked looking at Hayley's hands.
"I don't know. Pick one that matches your dress... Which reminds me. I haven't seen it yet"
"Oh mom you are going to die. It's really beautiful like a princess dress with all this soft material and layers. I can't wait for you to see it"
"You're happy then. Right?"
"Yes I'm happy. Don't you dare start crying."
"Okay. Out you go. I wanna see this famous dress of yours"
She shrieked excited about everything "I'll be right back."
After taking a long bubble bath, Hayley sat down in front of a mirror for the makeup team. They each took turns with her face and hair and by the time they were done, she looked like Hollywood perfection. All she needed to do was put on her dress and get married. Thank God for Shree who thought about everything. Hayley stood in front of her closet mirror and looked at herself. She really did look pretty. In fact she felt pretty in her gown. Thoughts of how JR would take it off flitted through her mind and she blushed. With that man it was never enough. It didn't matter how many times they were together in a day, she still wanted him and she suspected he felt the same. A knock on her door interrupted her thoughts. "Hey are you going to come out?" it was Jazz.
"What do you think?" She asked even though she knew the answer.
"I would totally marry you if JR changes his mind." Jazz said taking in her appearance.
Laughing Hayley felt her nerves dissipate. "Okay. So what do I do now?"
"You wait for thirty minutes then come out. You'll know when it's time. Besides I'll send Alexis to get you so don't fret."
"Okay then. But hurry up or I'll come down myself"
"Someone's ready to start their honeymoon." Jazz joked wiggling her eyebrows
Hayley just shooed her out laughing to herself. She felt excited and crazy. Except for the sex, she knew almost to nothing about JR but she was going to marry him. Deep down she knew he was a good man. Sitting in her room was too much so she got up and peaked outside her door. The house was almost empty except for the maids running around. One stopped at her door telling her Jim wanted to see her in his bedroom. Hayley didn't get to ask why because the girl just flew past her and disappeared down the stairs. She straightened thinking it was weird that Jim would want to talk to her right then. More so in his bedroom since she'd never been there. Stopping outside his door she knocked "Jim? You wanted to talk?" when there was no answer she opened the door and looked inside. The room was empty. "Jim?" she called out again. Maybe the maid was mistaken. As she was closing the door a book on the bed caught her attention.
Hayley opened the door wider and stepped in picking up the photo album. She smiled thinking finally she was going to see what an infant JR looked like. He didn't look like anything she expected. He was chubby with grey eyes. Weird. She thought flipping pages. JR had blue eyes which meant the child in that album wasn't him. As she kept turning the pages the photos kept showing an older child. A little boy riding a bicycle, kicking a ball in a field, sitting behind a car in an amusement park, standing outside a stadium with Jim. He was younger here but still handsome. Jim was laughing while the boy..... Hayley stopped. She'd seen this photo before. It was cut in half so that only the boy was in the photo. Grey eyes.
It clicked and Hayley dropped the album as if it had burnt her. Jeffrey. He had grey eyes, and that photo of him and Jim in front of the stadium, she'd seen it but Jim's side was cut off. How? Did they know each other? So many thoughts were rushing in her mind fighting to be on the front row seat. So immersed in her thoughts she didn't hear Jim walk in. "Hayley wow. You look beautiful" he said then added "Why are here? Did you want something?"
"Jeffrey Anderson" she said turning to face him.
"What?"
"Jeffrey. Who was he to you?"
Jim cleared his throat "I don't know who that is"
"Then why do you have his photos?" she asked lifting the album. She saw the moment Jim turned pale and in turn that old fear crept up her spine. "Jim please tell me it's not true"
"Hayley-" he started but she cut him off
"No. No. No. This isn't happening" she was crying now and when she tried to leave he stood in front of her blocking her way. "Get out of my way"
"No. Let's talk about this"
"Now you wanna talk? All this time I've been living here Jim. Under the same roof with you and you never felt the need to tell me the truth?"
"Hayley please" Jim swore under his breath. This was not how she was supposed to find out.
"I understand everything now. You helping me even though we were practically strangers. I always wondered why you would do that. But we aren't strangers. Are we father in law?"
"I was going to tell you the truth."
"Like hell you were. When were you going to tell me that Jeffrey was your son?"
"Soon. I was just waiting for the right moment"
Hayley scoffed. "Of course you were. And now that I know the truth, we're done here"
Jim grabbed her elbow "Are you still going to marry JR? He has nothing to do with this"
"Are you serious?" when he just stared at her she shook her head. The audacity of this man. "No. One of your sons was enough to last me a lifetime. I don't need a repeat of my previous marriage"
"You can't stand him up in front of all those people" Jim tried to reason with her but he could see it wasn't working.
"I seriously want to punch you right now. Are you so blind that you think am going to marry JR after finding out about all this?"
"He really has nothing to do with this and he loves. I also know you love him too so please think about this Hayley"
"Once upon a time I loved Jeffrey too. Look how that turned out"
"JR isn't like that. You know him"
"No. I don't. I really don't know who he is. In fact I don't know who you people are. So for all our sakes I am going to get my things and my daughter then I'll leave. Quietly without any commotion. Okay?" Hayley told him and walked towards the door. His next words stopped her as she was pulling it open.
"Alexis is ours"
"What?"
"She's my granddaughter. If you walk out that door, I'll take her from you"
Hayley stared at him for a full minute. Did he think she was scared of him? Narrowing her eyes to slits she said "I dare you". She opened the door seething and went in search of her daughter. She was done with this shit show. This was what she got for thinking Jim was a nice person who wanted to help her. What was wrong with her? How did she not know he was hiding something? Did Alexis know they were related? Is that why she called him grandpa? So many questions with no answers.
"There you are. We need last minute touch ups and then you'll be good to go"
"I'm not going anywhere"
Shree stopped. "What do you mean you're not going anywhere? Hayley it's too late to get cold feet. Everyone is already outside waiting for you"
"I don't give a shit Shree. Find Alexis for me will you."
"No. First tell me what's going on. Did JR do something?"
"Are you going to get Alexis for me or should I stomp out there and get her myself?" Hayley asked fixing Shree with a glare.
"Why do you want to see Alexis?"
"Because we're leaving."
"You can't be serious" Shree gasped in horror
"I am. I don't want to be here anymore"
"What happened Hayley? Let's talk it out and find a solution. Whatever happened we can fix it. Don't be like this"
"If you're not going to help me find Alexis, get out of my way."
"Hayley think about what you're doing"
"Leave me alone Shree."
----------------------
"Did you get her?"
"No-"
"What do you mean No? Why the Fuck did I trust you if you couldn't even do something as simple as that?"
"Would you let me finish?"
"Fine."
"I didn't get her but I got the next best thing. Go on ahead. Ask me what that is"
"What is it?" fucktard
"Her daughter."
"Still waiting for you to make sense"
"Don't you get it? If we have her daughter, she'll be forced to come to us. You get two for the price of one. Get me now?"
"Yeah. Of course. You son of a bitch when did you become so brilliant?"
"I tell people that all the time. You get what you paid for, and you ma'am are paying me a lot of money among other things" he drawled out.
"We should do this more often."
"I would like that."

Giselle in her staff uniform looked around at the guests who couldn't wait to leave. She had been so scared her plans wouldn't work out but her worry was all for nothing. Everything happened in slow motion for her. That fat bitch pulling out a gun and pointing it at Mr Rutherford had to be the highlight of the day. She couldn't believe her luck. Now James would be all hers just like it should have been from the beginning. And to think she'd almost fainted when they had shown up at her place of work. No one should know she was working as a stripper.
When she had started modeling, she'd been ecstatic. Having designers fighting for her to model their clothes or shoes or even bags had been the best thing to happen to her. But she'd gotten carried away, asking for more than they could pay her, making them try to out bid each other for her. Eventually they'd gotten tired and left. Since then, she couldn't seem to find any gigs so she turned to working in a strip club. With her curves, men tipped her heavily for just a lap dance. And when that money wasn't enough, she started asking for rooms to entertain her clients. Pretending to still be a supermodel cost a lot of money. But if she married JR, she wouldn't have to worry about money ever again.
Laughing she walked away. This was going to be way easier than she thought.
