Now many people know this German physicist for his vast intelligence and contributions to science, but there are a few things that they fail to mention in the history books.  These little facts of history share a few misconceptions and interesting quarries about the brainiac.

1. Einstein was once offered the position of President in Israel

The prime Minister of Israel, David Ben-Gurion, communicated to Einstein via letter that he had a chance to be elected the President of the nation.  While a generous offer, Albert politely declined, claiming that he lacked the, "Natural aptitude and the experience."

2. Einstein never failed math as a child

Despite the common belief, Einstein excelled in Algebra, Physics, and Mathematics as a child, some even considered him a child prodigy.  His intelligence was recorded to be greater than some of his own teachers.  At 11, he was able to be a skilled violin player.  In his younger years, he was also able to learn Latin and Greek.

However, despite his great academic accomplishment, he was unable to get into most colleges.  The Genius had a fatal flaw, a strike on his educational career.  He had failed to learn french in his classes.  This stain on his permanent record made it difficult to get extended education.

3. Someone beat him to his greatest work

An Austrian Physicist by the name of Friedrich Hasenohrl published the equation "E=Mc2" one year before Einstein.  However he used this equation not in the field of Relativity, but instead in his results in cavity radiation.  Thus Einstein gets credit for findings in a different field.

4. He never won a Nobel Prize for his theory of relativity

He did however win an The Nobel Prize in Physics for his law of the photoelectric effect.

5. He hated to wear socks

Einstein found socks to be a hassle.  He found they often got holes in them and that they seem unnecessary.  Everywhere he went he often went without.

6. Einstein had a bad memory

Not about important things of course.  Einstein simple had major trouble remembering things like addresses, names, phone numbers, and other small details.
