You: I’m sorry, but I cannot accept your offer.

Unknown caller: Very well. But I should warn you, you’ll regret your decision...

Unknown caller: Oh, and one more thing... don’t tell Hiro anything about anything I showed you, okay?

You: ...

You: Okay.

You sighed and turned your phone off. Then you collapsed onto your bed, hoping that you’d made the right decision...

The next day, Hiro wasn’t in class.

You frowned, worried. You decided to text him to see if everything was alright.

You: Are you okay?

A minute later, he responded:

Hiro: Meet me at the Lucky Cat Cafe. It’s an emergency.

You: What happened?

Hiro: I’ll explain when you get here. Hurry.

You practically sprinted out of the lab, ignoring the weird looks that you received. It only took you five minutes to get to the cafe.

You burst through the door. Hiro was waiting for you downstairs.

“What happened?” you demanded.

Hiro’s face was grave.

“Someone... someone tried to kill Mochi.”
