Seven
I feel like the constant pressure building and then slow resolve in this song perfectly describes Jungkook and V's relationship haha.
It was relatively quiet in the corner booth of the cozy diner, aside from the occasional slurping of a smoothie from a certain ravenette. Jungkook was slightly uncomfortable with this whole situation. I mean, sitting across from a dangerously sexy, heavily tattooed man was nice, of course, but not when that dangerously sexy, heavily tattooed man was staring intently at him. He tried to look anywhere else; his now empty plate of french toast, the aesthetic paintings on the wall, the ominous clouds in the sky threatening to rain. None could save him from the inquisitive stare of the handsome man in front of him.
Jungkook dared his eyes to look back into the man's and instantly regretted his decision. He was now trapped. Trapped within those chocolatey pools of mystery that threatened to learn even the deepest secrets about him. Those eyes that were examining so much of him, but divulging none about V himself. V was unpredictable, and that was hot and intimidating at the same time. A man that could keep you on your toes from anticipating each of his moves. A man that seemed capable of much more than he let off. A man that has been staring at him for entirely too long now.
"Okay, what the hell are you staring at?" Jungkook finally snapped at him.
V shrugged as he leaned back in his seat, still staring at the male. "I'm just reading you." Jungkook furrowed his eyebrows at that. "Reading me?"
"Your character." V said matter of factly. "Now that we've had the chance to sit face-to-face, I can see what kind of person you are."
"And what's that?" Jungkook asked slightly amused. He had always been told he was easy to read. Of course, the fact that he usually says what's on his mind not helping at all.
V cast his eyes at the window, seemingly focusing on something in the distance. "Stubborn as hell but with a good heart. My brother doesn't introduce me to just anybody."
Jungkook looked slightly taken aback by that, eyes diverting to the floor. He was glad that V wasn't looking at him to see his slight blush. He didn't know what to say to that and he definitely didn't expect V to say that. The fact that the handsome tatted man thinks he has a good heart made him feel a little shy.
Then V suddenly stood up breaking the ravenette out of his thoughts, making him look up. "Well, I have to open the shop in like 15 minutes so I'll be leaving."
And for some reason, Jungkook didn't want him to go. Sure, they had been in each other's company all morning but it feels like they haven't really made any progress. So against his better judgement, he stood up as well.
"Oh, um do you mind if I come with you? I've actually always wanted to get a tattoo but never did." He asked a little shyly but with a look of determination. Whether it was determination to stay with V or keep up with his excuse to finally get a tattoo, he didn't know.
V looked him up and down, studying him for a minute, before finally shrugging. "That's fine."
And so Jungkook found himself following V to his sleek, black mustang after the man had thrown a $20 on the table.
Was this a good idea? Who knows. Either way, he'd be in the company of this handsome, mysterious man for a little longer.

"So how long have you been a tattoo artist?"
"I'd like to think ever since I picked up my first pencil." V said plainly as he focused on the road in front of him.
It had been about 5 minutes since the two had been driving and Jungkook couldn't stand the silence any longer. Not only that, the way V looked while driving had the ravenette thinking dirty thoughts, thoughts that he needed to get rid off. The man was sitting slightly back with one hand on the wheel while he leaned on his other, resting on the door. His tatted tan thighs were peeking through the rips on his black jeans, making Jungkook try his hardest not to stare. He looked so comfortable and so sexy and fuck Jungkook needed to remind himself that he shouldn't be thinking this way.
"That's pretty amazing." He said as he turned towards V. "So, in your expert opinion, what do you think would look good on me?"
V gave a small smirk at that as he side-eyed Jungkook. "Sugar, anything would look good on you."
Jungkook was slightly amused at that. "Is that your attempt at flirting with me?"
"Would you want it to be?"
And suddenly the air felt a little heavier in the car. Jungkook turned himself away from V, now facing the windshield again. "Do you flirt with all of your brother's potential partners?"
"Never met any."
Now, that shocked him.
Jungkook faced V with a look of pure surprise. "So you've never met anyone your brother was interested in?"
"He tends to keep that part to himself. I guess you're special." V shrugged a response back at him.
Jungkook was skeptical about it but chose to let it go. "And what about you? Are you seeing anyone?"
V pulled up to a red light and fully turned to Jungkook with a small smirk. "Why? Are you interested in me?"
The ravenette rolled his eyes at the other. "I'm trying to get to know you. You're making it pretty hard since you have to be such an ass about everything."
"Maybe there's not much to know." V shrugged, looking into the other's eyes once again.
Jungkook returned the look intently, moving slightly closer to the dark haired man. "Oh, I'm sure there's a lot to know about you. Honestly, you seem like a very complex person. You strike me as the kind of person who's more than meets the eye and as long as we're going to be around each other, I'm determined to learn more."
V's smirk slowly dropped as he closed the distance between them, making Jungkook's eyes widen. There was only about an inch of space stopping their lips from touching. "Be careful sugar, you don't wanna dig too deep and not have a way out. You don't wanna really know me."
Though he was slightly intimidated by the possible threat, he stood his ground. "You don't scare me, V." Jungkook stated, furrowing his eyebrows at the man in front of him. This close, Jungkook could see everything. The pretty mole on his cheek, right under his eye; those thick furrowed eyebrows, and those blank eyes. Only this time they showed a bit of... hesitation?
You could literally cut the tension with a knife between these two. If V was ice, Jungkook was a fireball with a mission to melt him down. He didn't know why he wanted to know so much about V, considering he's only supposed to be interested in his twin, but something about him intrigued Jungkook.
V suddenly broke eye contact and continued driving, noticing the light turned green again. "Like I said, stubborn as fuck." Jungkook giggled a little at that and turned back around, focusing on the road again as well.
They didn't talk much after that, just enjoying the comfortable silence once again. To Jungkook, V was an enigma. Someone he could spend hours trying to figure out and maybe not get anywhere, but he would still enjoy the company. Something about V drew him in and their banter excited him. It was different from what he felt with Taehyung. With Taehyung, he felt secure and cared for as if he was the only thing that mattered. But V was so indifferent with everything. He was crass and blunt but he wore it well. Dealing with these two brothers, Jungkook didn't know where it would take him. But so far, he knew one thing for sure. He didn't regret a single thing.
Hey loves! We're gonna pick it up next time with them at the tattoo parlor because this was getting too long.
Out of curiosity, does anyone have tattoos? I have about 3 and I'm thinking of getting a 4th one soon. If so, tell me what you have!
Love you all! Peace out, beauties 💕
