Fourteen

Lmao y'all are so funny your comments from last chapter killed me~

In moments like these, when you know you've utterly fucked up, what can you do?

Feel sorry for yourself?

Lie to try to get yourself out of it?

"I'm only gonna ask one more time. What. The fuck. Is going on here?"

No. Jungkook was always a firm believer in admitting to his wrongdoings. And what a wrongdoing has he committed tonight.

"Tae... Tae I'm so sorry. I don't know what came over me." He pleaded, looking into those blank eyes that used to be so expressive on the silver haired male's face. The deep remorse he felt each time he looked into Taehyung's eyes, starting to eat away at him. Taehyung simply looked at him, offering nothing to how he really felt. If he was angry or if he didn't care at all.

"And you?" Taehyung jerked his head towards V. The tatted male seemed fine outwardly, but his eyes shone that he was pretty conflicted. V didn't say a word, only looking into his brother's eyes intensely. His eyes speaking louder than words ever could. Taehyung nodded slowly to himself, seemingly thinking everything over.

Jungkook and V didn't dare look at each other, only nervously staring at Taehyung both waiting for him to do something. Anything. Scream, lash out, maybe even shed a tear but they got nothing. Nothing but a blank face and narrowed sharp feline eyes staring holes into their skulls.

The silence was becoming too much, unbearable even. It was unbelievable how this night had taken such a turn. Just as Jungkook opened his mouth to break the silence, Taehyung did it for him.

"Jungkook."

The silver haired male slowly approached the ravenette, eyes still hardened. He stopped in front of the younger, hand lifting from his side to softly put some loose hair behind Jungkook's ear. "I'm not mad at you."

Jungkook's eyes widened almost comically because what did he mean he wasn't mad? He should be fucking furious right now, cursing their names up and down this hallway. "Wh-what do you mean?" He stuttered out, utterly confused. V, closely watching their interaction, slightly raised his eyebrow in disbelief.

"Jungkook, we aren't dating. No matter how much I like you, we never officially put a label on us. It would be a little ridiculous for me to be mad at you when you're not completely mine."

Curse him and his logical psychologist brain. This was the last thing Jungkook was expecting.

"But just because I'm not mad, doesn't mean I'm not a little hurt." Taehyung let his hand drop from Jungkook's hair. The ravenette felt his nervousness rise, already missing the warmth Taehyung's hand brought. "I think I need some time."

"Wait what? No... Taehyung please!" He was panicking, feeling like he got slapped in the face. The thought of losing Taehyung scared him so. They hadn't known each other for long but Jungkook was so attached to the elder already.

Taehyung pulled away from him, taking a few steps back. He turned to V with a look that Jungkook couldn't deciper. "You and I will talk later. I trust you to get him home safe and sound." V looked at him twin for a moment before nodding firmly. Taehyung nodded back, looking at Jungkook one last time before he turned his back on them and walked away.

"Taehyung!" Jungkook tried one last time, feeling his eyes start to burn. Tears were threatening to spill but he held them in, trying to be strong. He forced himself to look up at V who was spacing out and called out to him. "V, can you just take me home please?"

The tatted man sighed, looking down at the younger and gave him a short nod. Jungkook immediately took off for the front door, not even stopping to see if V was following him or to tell Jimin and Hoseok goodbye. He couldn't face all those guests right now and he knew especially Yugyeom would bombard him with questions. He'd apologize to all of them later when he saw them at work.

He waited by V's bike, a million thoughts running through his mind and none of them good. He didn't wait for long until V was sauntering up to him, looking incredibly unaffected. Jungkook inwardly rolled his eyes and watched as V walked directly in front of him, leaving little space between their bodies. He furrowed his eyebrows up at the elder's unpredictable ass, ready to snap on him if he tried anything because Jungkook wasn't in the mood.

Surprisingly, V grabbed a helmet from the back of the bike and gently fastened it on Jungkook's head. The ravenette's eyes widened at how careful he was being. Standoffish, rude and unpredictable V? He could handle, sure. Gentle V? Not so much.

He watched as V straddled the bike first and let him pull the younger on behind him, wrapping Jungkook's arms around his waist for safety. He looked back once only to ask where Jungkook lived before speeding off into the night.

In that moment, his arms wrapped around V's hard stomach and the cool winds blowing around him, Jungkook felt peace.  For the first time tonight, his mind was blank. All the voices in his head screaming at him, now silent.  He unknowingly wrapped himself tighter around V, burying his head in his back, feeling incredibly content. They were like that for awhile and not once did V try to talk to him, leaving him to sit in peace.

"We're here."

V's voice broke Jungkook out of his content little cloud.  He didn't even feel them stop moving.  He leaned on V's shoulder to carefully get off the bike and handed the helmet to him, locking eyes with the tatted man.  "Thanks for getting me home safe, V.  And... for not being an asshole for once."  The dark haired male snorted at that and smirked at the younger.  "Sure cutie." But his smirk faded as he kept looking at Jungkook. "Just tell me one thing. Do you regret it?"

"No."

He replied without hesitation, making V's eyebrows slightly raise. "I don't regret it." Jungkook turned around and walked towards his apartment, never turning back to look at the elder.

Because he realized that while he felt remorse for how Taehyung walked in on them, he didn't regret what happened between them.

And that made him feel even worse.

Taehyung's Apartment

2:30 am

In his line of work, Taehyung has encountered many different types of people from many different walks of life.  From kids with severe depression to psychotic serial killers, he's seen it all.  You can't choose his profession and have a weak heart or a weak mind.  Both having been hardened all throughout his upbringing.

Taehyung has never asked for much, not even for toys as a child.  As the older brother, he had to grow up faster, gain more wisdom, and provide for V.  As kids they shared everything except for a personality. Food, clothes, friends, you name it and they most likely shared it.

He's such a giving man towards his brother. Whatever V asked for, he received. The one thing he didn't see coming though was Jungkook.  Their relationship was moving so fast, emotions running so high. But they've only had one serious talk about how they felt about each other.

He stood from where he was sitting, moving to look out at the city through his big window in the living room. Vaguely remembering Jungkook talking about how beautiful the view is once.  Yes, Taehyung shares everything with V but he never imagined having to share Jungkook. A big part of him wanted the boy all to himself.

With these thoughts consuming him, he felt strong arms wrap around his waist and a head plop on his shoulder.

"Are you mad at me?"

Taehyung cracked a smile, letting himself relax back into the hold. "How could I be mad at you, ViVi?"

And an even bigger part of him wanted V all to himself.

V buried his face into Taehyung's neck and wrapped his arms tighter around him, taking in his comforting sent.  "I couldn't take it if you were." Taehyung hummed, looking out at the pretty lights of the city. "I just wanna know why. Why Jungkook?"

"I don't really know. Trust me, the last thing I wanted was to hurt you in any way. I... think it's because he challenges me? Makes me so mad. He came outta nowhere yelling at me, I wanted to choke him not almost fuck him against a wall."

"I kinda wanna choke you right now."

"Can I pick the other option instead?"

Taehyung threw his head back in laughter, turning around in V's hold to face him. "You're so stupid." Taehyung smiled, cupping the younger's face.

"I'm sorry TaeTae. Genuinely sorry."  V sincerely said looking at his brother with soft eyes. Taehyung gave him a smile, placing a soft peck on his cheek before letting him go and backing away.

"I love you V, deeply, but I don't know if I want to share Jungkook."  It would be the first time that Taehyung wasn't willing to give V everything of his. This was new territory and anything could happen.

"And I want to keep messing with him." V shot back, looking at his brother with sharp eyes.

They stared at each other, both looking for any hesitance but finding none. Taehyung smirked down at his twin, eyes holding a new fire. "It seems this means war."  V smirked back at him, defiance in his gaze.

"Let the best brother win."

It's time for the real story to start!

So did you expect Taehyung's reaction? And what did you think about that moment between the twins? I'm super curious!

Love you all! Peace out, beauties 💕
