Kai's POV

There is a sea of black, swarming around me and eating me up from the inside out. Up on the stage, my master's white and gold casket lies, his lifeless body inside.

He made it very clear that he wanted to have a small burial. He didn't want it to be broadcasted all over Ninjago. Instead, he wanted it to be a celebration of his life for only the people he cared about.

There are twelve seats on the lawn in front of the stage. Five are for us five ninja that he trained to save Ninjago. Four seats are for four of the girls that his lessons directly impacted, girls that he agreed to take in during the last moments of his life and give some of his wisdom to. Two are for his older brother and sister in-law, the two people there with him while he passed. The final seat he requested be there long before his death. He said that it was for a long lost student if he decided to show up.

Garmadon stands on the stage in a black suit behind a podium. He rearranges the papers in front of him before he starts to speak. "My brother was always far more aware of what was happening around him than I was. The morning of his passing, as soon as he woke up, he looked at me and gave me a small smile. 'It's time,' is what he said to me. That day, he wrote me a letter, a note to read at this time. It reads as follows, 'My dearest ninja, you five are the greatest achievements of my lifetime. I got the pleasure of being able to train you from that team that carried me up the mountain and a little boy with a candy addiction to a team of ninja who I know will continue to do remarkable things for Ninjago in the future. I have come to love you over the years as if you are my own sons. Part of me is happy that I am going to pass while you are all out on a mission. I don't think I could have handled saying goodbye to you all. It would not have been a goodbye, just a temporary farewell. Do not fret though. My passing will be a peaceful one. I am sure if it. By the time this is being read, it will be several days after my passing. Where am I now? I am in the departed realm with your parents now. I am at peace.'

Wu was an honest, loving man, and while he did not bear any children himself, he left a legacy with you all that cannot be overlooked. He lives on not only through you five, but also through his elemental power of creation . He passed it on to the nindroid that allowed for him to stay in the comfort of his own home and around his family through the use of her medical skills during the final month of his life.

My brother never wished for his burial to be a sad time. Instead, he wanted it to be a time for him to be remembered, and remembered he shall be. Kai, would you like to come up to the stage?"

With my paper in my hands, I wipe the tears that leaked out of my eyes away. I walk up to the podium, the moment really setting in as I look out at everyone. I clear my throats before I begin.

"When I met Master Wu, I was a scared, lonely sixteen year old mourning the loss of his father. I had nothing in life left; both of my parents were dead, and my sister was missing. He found me and brought me to a new family. He helped restore purpose in my life, and for that, I'll always be beyond grateful.

As a Sensei, he taught me many valuable lessons. My favorite out of them all is that the best way to defeat your enemy is to make them your friend. I had always thought that the best way to go was pure firepower, but that was before I saw what peace could do, what friendship has done. That lesson has brought me to my best friend, my sister, and my girlfriend. That lesson was the key to saving Ninjago last time. Even though Master Wu was too weak to lead us on our last major mission, his teachings still guided us. They'll continue to do so in the future.

There won't be a single day that we don't think about him, that we won't wish he's back with us again. The only thing that is keeping me sane during this time is that I know he's happy where he is now. He's free of all of the evil in Ninjago. He's at peace."

Wu's POV

The blades of grass tickle my feet as I walk through the tranquil forest, a forest with no path. However, I know where I am going. Although there is a canopy of trees above my head, enough light illuminates my path that I can navigate it well.

When I finally leave the forest, I am met with a peaceful valley. The hills roll over onto the next, creating a never ending green sea. The grass is gushing with life, long yet maintained blades sprouting out of the ground. Water flows through the troughs of the hills, forming a steady stream.

I make my way up and down the hills, taking careful steps over small bridges that connect the islands of green. I look up at the sky, a blue infinity with occasional clouds splattering throughout.

When I reach my destination, a smile appears on my face. The cottage is very homely, and I know on the inside it is far more than a cottage. It looks as if it was placed together, stone by stone, and sealed together. The roof is made of straw, yet it is thick like a mop of blond hair.

When I open the rounded wood door, I am met with a spacious yet homely room, much larger than the exterior. In the center of the room, a table sits, six chairs surrounding it. No one is in the room.

"I like what you've done with the place," I say loudly. At my words, a loud shuffling can be heard in the other rooms.

"Wu?" I smile at the sound of my best friends voice. He stands on their second story, looking off of the balcony.

"It sure has been a long time, Ray."

He runs down the stairs to me and wraps his arms around me. I drop my staff to give him a hug back. His embrace is still warm, even though he no longer has his powers.

"Did...did something tragic happen?"

"It was my time. Sickness got the best of me," I inform him.

"Wu, it has been so long," from behind Ray, his wife smiles at me. Their resemblance to their children is uncanny. I open up my arms, and she joins in on the hug.

"Where are the others?" I ask the two of them.

"Right here!" from their top story, four women, each with a different hair color, look down at me. There's a blonde, one with raven hair, one with pink hair, and one with scarlet hair. Three of them walk down the stairs while the blonde jumps from the balcony and lands in front of us.

"Why did you do that?" Amber asks, raising at eyebrow at Libber who shrugs.

"It's quicker. Besides, what's it gonna do to me? I mean if I was still mortal, it would be a risky choice, but even then we've jumped from..."

"It's been over thirty years since the last eclipse, what happened?" Lilly asks, still towering over me as I remember. Just like her son, she is tall and broad, but both of them have a kind and soft heart. Seeing the striking resemblance between them and their children, I internally smile.

"It was a long journey, but your children did it, did what we never could. Mara and Ciara are now locked in separate prison realms. They got the gemstones and took over Ninjago but were stopped in the end," I inform them. The six of them celebrate joyously. Their murderer is finally captured.

"How are they? Our children?" Sarah asks me. She twirls a strand of her pink hair around her finger.

I reach into my pocket. "A lot like you all, actually. I trained the boys for several years before my passing, and even though I only knew the girls for several months, they were all wonderful. When I passed, I made sure to have this in my pocket." I hand them the photograph. "Seliel had her heart set on having a prom, so Misako gave them the museum for a night to hold it. They all went to it and got a teenage experience."

The picture is from the little prom that they threw. Cole and Seliel are wearing corresponding outfits, the grey on his tie and her grey, wispy dress tying together. His arm is around her while she hugs him. Jay and Nya are next to them, both wearing the same formal outfits they usually wear. Neither one of them were aware that the picture was being taken, so Jay is smiling down at her while she laughs slightly at something he said as they hug.

Kai and Skylor are both wearing the same outfits they wore for the banquet as well. As Kai looks at the camera, she gives him a kiss on the cheek. Zane and PIXAL, wearing the same outfits, do the conventional prom pose, with Zane standing behind her and having his arms wrapped around her waist. Lloyd is on the end with the brunette he has taken interest in, Juliet. His arm is around her as the two of them pose.

My old friends all look at the picture, tears in their eyes. Many of them have tears cascading down their faces, seeing their children all grown up.

"Th-they're so big."

"He looks so much like you!"

"We definitely have strong genes."

"They're so beautiful."

"Is that one..."

"My nephew? Yes, he turned out to be the green ninja, ironically enough. The girl he is with...her parents were killed by a group of stone warriors when Mara was occupying the city. He fell for her while helping clean up the city. The rest of my ninja, however, fell for your girls once they came to the realm. It was interesting to watch, considering the similarities between you all."

"So my daughter is with Lilly's son?" Sarah asks. Her face draws closer to the picture. With a smile on my face, I nod.

"And Kai is with Skylor, and Jay is with Nya. They are all very happy."

"Would you like us to make you a chair?" Ray asks me when he sees me looking over at their table.

"No thank you. My father is waiting for my return tonight. I just wanted to visit my old friends."

"If you don't mind me asking, can you please tell the story of how our children defeated Mara and Ciara? I want to know exactly how those she-devils were taken down," Libber asks with the same excitement as her son.

"I always have time for a story, but get prepared, it's a long one."

A/N Woa, this is it. This is the ending of the Enmity/ Unanimity series! (With the exception of an alternate ending).

Did you all like the Easter egg from Hidden?

I'm saving the sap fest for the alternate ending, BUT I'm going to say a few plans for this story that changed.

Jaya weren't supposed to get together until the chapter right before they face Mara and Ciara!

Yep, I was going for the slow burn on that.

Wu never got sick.

Whoops, Wu didn't die in the original ending, but I really liked the idea of the parents finding out that their children won, so this worked!

Skylor was supposed to get turned to the good side by Kai, not her own realization.

Yep, while Kai had a large role in helping, she actually wasn't supposed to crack until she made out with Kai at the sunset, but I felt that making her piece the puzzle together herself was a lot deeper.

Seliel was a lot more hesitant to switch sides.

In the original version, Seliel doesn't agree to switch sides when she meets with Cole at the cake shop. Instead, Jay (who was also out at the time) sneaked up and knocks her out with his powers. Then, Skylor and Nya would be the ones to convince her.

The elemental masters don't die.

Yeah so basically I didn't realize I killed all of the elemental masters until I published the chapter, and then I rolled with it.

Tox and Chamille end up together.

The downside to my previous statement was that Chamille was supposed to have gotten a soft spot for tox (hence why she wouldn't have been there during the reunion chapter) but I killed tox soooooo...

Seliel's dad didn't move on.

Yeah that was a spur of the moment decision, but I think it made sense because not all of the dads were going to stay alone forever after all of that loss.

There's more, but I honestly forgot whoops.

Thank you all so much. You're the absolute best. After the alternate ending, I'm going to dedicate myself to my new AU, Unscripted, so you all should check that out! In that universe, Ninjago is a tv show, and the ninja are just actors!
