"Don't move" I erupted in the small vacant house, ignoring the dishes my mom used on the wall—her favorite ones.

It took me half a second to spot on the floor the man who had destroyed my family's, and my best friend's.

Father. That word initiated more hate in my body than I expected.

My gun was pointed at him "If you make one move towards your gun, we will shoot."

House empty. It felt like a trap. "Why did you drag us here?" I asked loudly.

He showed us his cut.

I had a choice then; help the captain of the Israeli military, who had ordered the butchering of thousands of families, and would, with no doubt, go back to doing that once I healed him. or let him die all alone.

I spotted his forces before left the darkness, and shot two of them. "run away" I yelled until my throat became hoarse. All of them stepped backwards. Except Omar. There were too many- twenty ish. Our only hope—there was no hope. We would die.

But fighting.

Everything happened way fast. In a sea of cries, and blood, I was dragged out at some point. I was injured— beyond repair I think.

I don't know what I was doing outside, but the sound of the Muslim ambulances coming our way—someone had called them.

And the guide— smiling at me with a gun.

His smile this time was more genuine than the one around the campfire.

"he lied about Muslims. I'll kill him for both of us."

The only thing I remembered was Omar's hand in mine, and the fact that we had killed someone with kindness. And that if we were to go to Jannah together and join our families, I wouldn't regret it.

nor would our moms.

well well well, it's the end isn't it. a bit bittersweet huh, because I loved ameer... anyways all good things must come to an end. actually I hate that saying. Why do all good things have to come to an end. its very bittersweet  I feel like its something someone invented when they lost something they really loved to make themselves feel better, but it ended up making them feel worse haha

anyways is the ending satisfying? what would you have liked to see instead ? 2000 words is kind of short when you have so many loose ends to tie in the end, so I will understand if the part with the guide is kind of rushed.

but you know what, learning, growing, evolving. wow, thats kind of good, should I make it my mantra? and add it to my bios *eyes from everyone*
