R:2 - 4: Begin!

Team RWBY and Seth, minus Ruby who was on watch, were camping out in an abandoned building after hours of just exterminating Grimm. No leads were found in the pursuit of the White Fang hideout supposedly in the sector.

Ruby was dozing off as Seth quietly used his wings to fly out through the roof, since he had to release his bladder.

He zipped around the building, and landed on the ground, without his jacket and scanned for a place to pee.

He sighed as he found the second closest structure, a bus stop, with no Grimm around it and landed.

Seth hummed as he relieved himself, but heard a faint crack. He tilted his head and looked around, confused by the stressed sound of stone.

"What the..." He muttered, but didn't stop. He heard an even louder crack and grew worried. 'Okay, I don't have my weapons, and this is scary...' Seth thought, before finally pinpointing where the sound came from.

He pulled up his pants, just in time to see that the ground around him was caving in, and breaking as his glance fell.

"Holy shit!" Seth yelled, and began plummeting down into the underground city below the one above.

He flipped on his Semblance again and stopped his descent. He landed on the building just below him, and gawked at the massive cavern hidden below. He turned of his Semblance and contemplated alerting the others, but as soon as the thought struck his mind, something struck him.

Seth received a nasty haymaker to the back of the head, and was almost flung off the rooftop, but the assailant grabbed his shirt collar and pulled him back before he could.

They snickered as began dragging him away with a smirk.

"Hey, Yang, it's your turn— Where's Seth?" Ruby asked walking back into their camp.

"Guys, where is Seth?" Ruby asked again with more concern, making the others wake up from her volume.

"What?" Oobleck asked rushing down the stairs. "What's going on?" Blake asked standing up in confusion.

"Grab your weapons. Your friend may be in trouble." Oobleck warned.

Seth was straight-faced as he was dragged away by two White Fang members. Seth ignored his capture and looked at the scene around him.

It was as they expected. Stolen Schnee dust, weapons from Atlas, and more of the likes, including Paladins to spare. The whole operation was in this one cavern.

"Hey, boss! Found something you might like!" One yelled out.

"Is it good or bad, Perry, because let me tell you, I have had~ a day." Roman responded with exasperation.

"It's that guy you don't like." 'Perry' replied.

Roman wasn't the first to come out, but Nova was, and she looked at Seth with disappointment.

"I had to pee." He shrugged, before getting elbowed in the chin.

Roman and Neo walked out of a train car, and saw Seth, making them both frown.

"That would be bad, Perry."

"Is that his... hat..." Yang trailed off, spotting the red cap at the edge of a large hole in the ground.

"Do you think he fell?" Weiss asked in shock. "Fell..." Oobleck muttered. "Wow. That's a long drop." Ruby commented in fear.

"He can fly." Yang reminded. "But, he'd be here if he wasn't inconvenienced." Blake corrected.

"Wait, don't we need his weapon?!" Ruby asked.

"Ruby, my dear girl, no one— and I mean no one, can lift that sword." Oobleck stated. "What?" Weiss asked, not really believing the statement. "That sword is his, and his alone. That is all. You are welcome to try and retrieve it, but you'll only slow us down." Oobleck said with a sense of cold disregard for the object.

"But, won't he be defenseless?" Blake questioned.

"If that's what you think, then you severely underestimate your friend." Oobleck said fixing his glasses.

Seth threw a punch at Nova, and she dodged, throwing her knee into his chest.

Seth curled over, but ate the hit, grabbed her shoulders and spinning his waist, throwing a high kick to her head, but she broke away and dodged again.

He sighed and made his wings flutter, winds coiling around him as he closed his eyes.

"I need to wear my glasses so the dirt doesn't get in my eyes." He muttered, before disappearing to everyone's eyes.

He flew forward and appeared at Nova's torso with his arm reel back.

She disappeared as well, and the two began to fight to fast for the naked eye to completely catch, and the mind to comprehend.

Seth appeared above Nova with his leg flying at her head, but she leaned away and grabbed his foot, throwing him towards the ground.

Seth stopped his descent just before he could crash, kicking up a cloud of dust and dirt.

He used this to his advantage and fluttered his wings again, kicking a small sandstorm and smokescreen.

Nova landed on the ground and watched the barreling dust and dirt, a faint silhouette in the center. Suddenly, the smoke blew to the left, and Nova directed her attention that way.

A mistake, as Seth appeared at her right with his fist inches from her face, his teeth grit and eyes squinted do none of the dust entered his own eyes.

Nova's head flew back and she staggered back as he flew by, meaning he landed the punch.

Seth clung to the wall of the building nearby, and panted from how much stamina he was consuming just evading her attacks.

"Wow. Gotta admit... the kid's good. Most competent by far." Roman said standing beside the spectating Neo.

Nova rubbed her chin with a frown and glanced at his exhausted stance.

"Where's your sword?" She asked.

"Somewhere. I didn't bring it. I was just trying to pee." Seth answered, preparing to shoot off the wall.

Just when round two was about to begin, a loud explosion rocked the cavern, and a yell was heard.

Ruby ran at Nova, and swung her scythe upward with a bang, a bullet to add to the power. Nova spun around the slash and tripped Ruby past her.

"Red, too?! Damnit! Tell everyone we're starting the train!" Roman announced hopping back in the train. The White Fang looked down the street and saw the rest of Team RWBY approaching with their weapons drawn.

Ruby on the other hand was surrounded by others, and went to evade a slash, but Seth axe-kicked the blade downward, before punching them away. He grabbed Ruby by her hood, and began flying away and towards the team as she shoot who she could.

Torchwick watched the stormtrooper aim of the White Fang, and sighed, leaning out of the train and aiming down his cane's sight.

Seth heard this whistle of his usual rocket, and spun in midair, wrapping his arm around Ruby's back, before the two were launched forward.

With a spin, Seth rolled against the ground and skid on his stomach, holding Ruby up so she wasn't damaged, stopping just before the others.

"Seth! Are you okay?" Yang asked. "Peachy." He answered, Ruby hopping out of his hands. "Androids. Mechs. Robots. Paladins. He's got it all." He informed standing up.

"What?" Blake asked in shock. "Yeah. Every weaponized machinery you can get your hands on from Atlas." Seth said holding his stomach, using what little Aura he had to heal himself. "They're all on the train cars." He added with a sigh.

"We couldn't get your weapon, so sit this one out." Ruby said sternly. "I refuse. I want to finish our fight." Seth said with determination.

"You mean that woman from before?" Blake asked with concern. "Yeah. I think she knows something about my sword." Seth said with a nod.

"Mr. Evans, now is not the time to satisfy your curiosity. We have a mission to uphold, and your safety should be the priori—"

"No, it shouldn't. Stopping them is. You know that, Doctor." Seth said with a frown.

Yang handed him his hat and sunglasses, and he placed both on his head.

"This is a job. That we signed up for." Seth added.

"Get to your places— We are leaving NOW!" Roman urged, tone laced with worry.

The six looked back and saw that the train had actually began moving, despite the tracks leading to a dead end. Oobleck grew dumbfounded, but the others knew that the time to fight was now.

Seth and Ruby crouched down, and took off for the train with the others behind them. Seth threw Ruby up onto the train as it's speed increased, and flew back for everyone else, tossing them on just before it reached maximum speed.

Now on the top of the train, Oobleck began to give instructions.

"Hurry, children! We must get to the front of the train and stop this train." He ordered, but Weiss took a peak at the next car. "Um..."

"Professor... what's that?" Weiss asked, pointing to a cylinder with three vials of dust, wires, and a black screen.

"That, my dear, appears to be a bomb." Oobleck answered.

"We've got baddies!" Ruby announced, a horde of the White Fang trotting down the cars' rooftops as well.

"Oh, it's on." Seth noted, making them all look down. The bomb began flashing black a red and beeping over time.

"Time to go. Blake, detach the caboose!" Oobleck said as the others jumped to the next car.

Blake jumped down and reeled back her sword, but the caboose began slowing down, already detached. "Huh...?" Blake wondered. "It decoupled itself!" She informed. "What?" Oobleck asked in disbelief, peering over the roof.

Everyone looked back and saw the car explode down the tracks behind them, making Oobleck wince and shake his head.

"Another bomb, sir." Seth said with a hand on his hip.

Oobleck grew fearful and began checking each car, one after the other, all they discovered for five more cars was bombs.

"They all have bombs!" He shouted down the train.

"This doesn't make sense!" Yang shouted in frustration. "It does..." Seth mumbled but kept to himself.

"Get the humans!" A White Fang lieutenant yelled.

Yang cocked back her gauntlets, Blake unsheathed her blade, Weiss tucked her rapier to her chest, and Ruby reeled back her scythe.

As the four charged forward, Seth was busy thinking about why they'd discharge bombs.

'He of all people knows were capable enough to jump to the car. Think... History ties this place together... what happened?' Seth said racking his mind, before he figured it out. 'But... what can we do?' He asked himself.

As soon as he did, the next car back blew up and a massive hole was torn into the tunnel.

"Sir, the bombs aren't for us." He told Oobleck. The two watched as Beowolves, Creepers, Ursas, and a King Taiju all leaked out from the tear, glaring down the tracks.

"They plan to repeat history. They want to unleash the Grimm on Vale." Seth informed. "Mr. Evans— you genius. Now, we just need a way to stop it." Oobleck pondered. "I could fly all the way down to the first car and detach it, but that would leave you all with the Grimm." Seth suggested.

"We need more options." Oobleck said shaking his head. "I suggest we move as fast as we can down the train. I won't leave you all behind anyway. I'll just go ahead." Seth said with a shrug.

"Our best bet, and last resort, is decoupling the back of the train. For now, go down, and detach them earlier. If the bombs are gone before we reach the seal, we have a chance of stopping this whole situation." Oobleck ordered.

"On it." Seth said preparing to drop down. "Take Yang and Blake with you. Ruby, Weiss, and I, will handle these ruffians up here." Oobleck added.

Yang uppercut a poor soul off the train, and kicked away the next. She swept one's legs and went for a left hook, but Seth dropkicked them away and grabbed Yang by the waist.

Blake threw her sword towards a goon's chest, boosting off her shadow to chase after it and knee him in the chin. She blocked and sliced the bullets volleyed at her, and she traded with her own.

She threw her sword across her chest and dashed forward, cleaving through three members to slow to react.

She was about to be shot again, but Seth stomped on a member's back and leapt at Blake, scooping her up in his other hand, and dropping into the train car.

As soon as the dropped down, Seth looked up and spotted Neo sitting on a crate, legs crossed in wait.

Yang and Blake were more focused on Seth, who was still holding them.

Unconsciously, he let them go, and stood up for revenge.

"Alright. Guess you're first." He said with a glare.

She shook her head, and pointed to the next train car, where she held up two fingers for.

"Even better. One of you handle her." Seth said cracking his knuckles.

Seth flew down the car and into the next one, foot reeled back for Nova who stood ready.

He appeared in front of her and kicked upward, but she dodged and appeared behind him. She flung her elbow down, but he flew back down in a blur, sliding to a stop on his hands and knees.

"I know you're Aura's low." Nova smirked. "Tell me about the sword?" Seth demanded. "What makes you think I know what's up with that sword?" Nova asked in confusion.

"You said it looked cool... when it was in the sheath..." Seth said with a shrug.

"That's the sheath... oh." Nova said with a hum. "Yeah, uh, never seen it before. I was wondering why it was all black." Nova smiled.

"I jumped to conclusions. Anyway, I'm gonna go on with that's cool with you." Seth said with a shrug.

"You only fought me for the sword?! Ugh! You're so boring. There's one more idiot before Torchwi—" The two watched Blake and Wiess run past. "Seems they have that handled." She corrected.

"I need to stop the train. Does it have working brakes?" Seth asked urgently. "Nope. This was crash course the whole time. Best bet is derailing it, but there's no time." Nova said jumping up and out of the car.

Seth flew up and followed, seeing that they were damn near half a mile away, and closing in.

"I need my sword." Seth said crouching down, his eyes brimming with energy as he called forth all of his Aura for his next move.

"Wait. Wait. What are you about to do? It look reckless. Whatever it is stop." Nova said nudging his shoulder. "I've gotta stop the train. And it can't go forward, so I'll send it upward, as best I can— hopefully into the sea." Seth said throwing his hand back.

"You crazy bastard. I'm not getting caught in this," Nova said before snapping her fingers, and disappearing.

Seth grunted and flew down the train as Ruby, Weiss, Blake, Yang, and Oobleck reunited. They watched his grey glow trail past him, before they heard a series of crashes.

The five noticed how close the seal was coming and Wiess stabbed her rapier into the car, a dome of ice coiling around them, four times over as the crashes grew louder and louder.

Seth appeared in front of the train, and just before it hit him, his sword plunged into the ground before him, and he ripped it upward with all the power he could muster.

In the city of Vale, the lightly bustling city was at peace, until it all came crashing down.

The train flew up and out of the tunnel soaring above a few buildings and complexes, making citizens wide-eyed at the spectacle.

Seth was on the front of the train, unconscious at the semi-successful parry of an entire train, that had hit him straight in the forehead upon the slash.

With his grip dead set on his sword, the weight of the ice dome surrounding the rest increased tenfold, while the individuals decreased the same.

Nearing the ground after its descent, it landed with a boom, one last car exploding all cargo and weapons aboard, making a crater in the town's square.

Seth opened his eyes and felt he was hanging.

He expected the worse, and felt his stomach, but was lucky to find half of his black shirt. He felt his head, and found luckily that his hat and sunglasses were intact.

"I took you. You're not dead." Nova smirked.

"The others?" Seth asked with sigh, feeling pain all over finally kick in. His eyes widened and he wince feelings the deep bruises of a train land on him.

"Never mind... holy... shit." Seth thought as he was dropped. He tried to bring his hands to his head again, but whatever adrenaline he had was gone, replaced with pain, stress, and aching.

"Yeah, you're stupid. I like that." Nova nodded proudly.

"I gotta help them..." Seth said lifting up his head despite the pain circling through his neck and spine.

"They've got back-up on the way, but suit yourself. Sword's still in your hand, you madman." Nova laughed.

"God... where is Laura when you need her." Seth said holding his chest in pain as he used his legs to stand up. As soon as he did, his eyes blanked out as he heard an audible snap. "Never mind... I'm done. Can't go... on."

Nova watched him fall right back on his face, and he stopped moving.

"You all right?" She asked.

Silence.

"Oh fuck." She said crouching and checking his pulse. "Phew. There..." She said with a sigh of relief. "Barely." She noted.

"Where do I put him so it doesn't look suspicious..." Nova wondered as she watched everyone handle the Grimm that leaked in.

"I guess where I found him." She shrugged, snapping her fingers.
