Chapter 2||Spill The Beans Please

"Oh my god, you will never guess what just happened." Chloe gushed, spewing gossip all over me.

Count on Chloe to ruin a perfectly peaceful lunch hour.

But you love her anyways.

It had been one WHOLE week since I had accidentally texted Zach. He kept sending me texts everyday. It's quite sweet actually. Let me give you guys an example:

Z: Hey baby you must be a general because your making my privates stand at attention. ;)

So I replied...

E: Hmmmmm....there still a major disappointment. :(

Z: No fair.

E: *blows raspberry*

Z: Have to go now.

E: K

Z: Every kiss begins with a K.

E: Too bad ugly begins with U.

Z: U cut me deep just then. Real deep.

And that was the end of our last conversation. His pick up lines are way too cute.

"Eves, Eves!" Chloe snapped her fingers in front of my eyes.

"You zoned out. Now...now that I've got your attention. Guess who moved in next to me...Mr Zach Murphy!! Eeeeeee!!" She started squealing, clapping her hands together like a seal and jumping up and down.

I just stared.

God why do you punish me so?

Now hear me out guys. You might think that this is fine. He doesn't know who I am BUT (there's a big but) I go to Chloe's ALL THE TIME. It's my second home. Also, my mom has a business meeting in Rio for the next three weeks so I'm staying at her house.

What if I open my big mouth?

Dumbass, he might not even notice you.

That would be good.

But you want him to notice you...

My unwelcome subconscious looked up and smirked at me under her half-moon glasses.

Bitch.

"Earth to Evie, Earth to Evie is anyone there."

Chloe sighed before dumping her bag on the floor and sitting across me.

"You're never like this. What happened? And also, you never sent me that text about which..." She looked around to see if anyone was around. "bra you want."

"Yeah. About that."

"What happened?" She glared.

"I put in so much effort into you and you never do anything! I help you with your social issues, your ketchup moments, could you not even bother to-"

"Hear me out, ok?" I calmed her down.

"Look, as the clumsy fool I am, as I was about to text you and tripped over thin air and accidentally deleted your contact. I had absolutely no idea what to do because I couldn't remember it, I panicked. Then I managed to recall some of it. After that I thought that even if it went to the wrong number what's the worst that could happen, right? I send it and wait for the reply... One minute passed, then another, and then another. I was getting worried until I heard the ping. And guess who it was? Zach Murphy had texted back!"

Chloe's jaw dropped to the floor. Then I gave her my phone. She scrolled through.

"These are some great comebacks." She laughed.

"But my ass in on the line whenever I come to your house..." I mumbled.

Suddenly Chloe gasped.

This is bad.

"Operation Zevie is a go."

Oh great.
