Umbreon ran through the forest. She was going to miss it! Slightly out of breath, she Stared up at the mountain looming above her. Cursing, she dashed up into the cave. Mother mouth. The golden rings on her fur lit up, guiding the way. She padded into the dimly lit cave. Leafeon, the medicine Eevee, looked up in surprise.

"What the crap?!" She barked, "umbreon?!" Umbreon inclined her head respectively.

"Yes, it is I." She replied. Leafeon turned away, and looked back to a little figure by her side. "furrypaw?" Umbreon asked. Leafeon stared back at her.

"Yes, furry paw is here..." She began cautiously, "you, you want to see his evolution I presume, Nightclaw?"The umbreon rolled her eyes.

"Duh-" she began, and immediately corrected herself, "er- yes Sagepelt." Sagepelt smiled at Nightclaw She was the only one who was remotely nice to her. Being the only umbreon in the clan was hard. All of the eevees looked up at the moonstone.

A Sylveon padded out of the shadows. Lightstar, the leader of lightclan! She faced furry paw.

"I, lightstar, leader of lightclan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down upon this apprentice. He trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend him to you as a warrior in his turn. Furry paw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend this clan, even at the cost of your own life?"

"I do." Replied furry paw, eyes shining.

"Then touch your nose to the stone." Sagepelt butted in. Furry paw did, and immediately glowed white. He swirled up in the air as a glowing orb. The moonstone rattled, and a blue piece broke off, hurtling at furry paw. Still glowing white, a fIgure drifted to the ground.

"Vaporeonnnnnnn!" Crowed a voice, and furry paw came into view. He was a vaporeon!

"By the power of starclan," lightstar continued, "I give you your warrior name. Furry paw, from this moment on you shall be known as Wavetail. Starclan honors your courage and your loyalty. We welcome you as a full warrior of lightclan!

Nightclaw cheered his name, and Sagepelt nodded her head approvingly. The three walked out of the cave, but Nightclaw stayed behind. She looked at the moonstone.

"Starclan," she began, "why must you put me through this? Why am I a dark Pokemon in light clan... I can feel their stares, me being the only umbreon." She turned her head to the roof of the cave. "Why..." Then she turned around and ran out of the cave.

"Wavetail! Wavetail! Wavetail!" Crowed the eevees. The ceremony Nightclaw witnessed in the cave was repeated, and the vaporeon was welcomed to the clan as a warrior. Nightclaw stood a little ways away.

As the voices died down, she looked around at her clan mates. Everyone were different eveelutions. Glaceons, espeons, flareons, jolteons, and yes, vaporeons. Sagepelt was a Leafeon, the only Leafeon and a medicine Eevee. Light star was a Sylveon. Nightclaw was the only umbreon. She was a moon older then Wavetail, and was happy to see his warrior ceremony. The vaporeon padded over to sit vigil while his clan mates padded to their dens.

Nightclaw couldn't help but smile as he saw mindwhisker's kits racing around. The tiny eevees were so cute! The espeon quickly shooed them away with her tail, picking up a straggler with her mind,

"Moooom!" Protested the little Eevee, but the espeon just set him down in the nursery.

"Briar kit, you know you have to go to bed!" She barked sternly. She counted her kits with her tail. "Snowy kit, eaglekit, badgerkit, yellow kit, and briar kit." The almost identical eevees blinked their eyes and yawned.

"I-I'm not tired.." Purred eaglekit, stifling a yawn with his paw. Mindwhisker shooed them all into her nest and curled around them.

"Go to sleep little one." She whispered, curling her tail around her nose. Nightclaw turned her gaze away from the family, and felt despair and anger burning in her chest. That could've been me! She thought, her mind screaming. Nightclaw plodded over to light star's den.

"Light Star?" Crowed Nightclaw. She heard a rustling from the den.

"Come in." Came a voice, groggy with sleep. Umbreon padded into the den, lighting up her rings.

"Sorry if I woke you," apologized Nightclaw, sitting opposite from light star.

"You didn't." Yawned light star. Nightclaw could tell she was lying.

"I just wondered if I could go out hunting..."

"Of course!" Muttered lightstar, sinking back into her den, "knock yourself out. Make sure not to talk to wave Tail!" She added, as Nightclaw padded back up. Nightclaw pushed through the vines that hid the entrance to her leaders den, and padded out of the tunnel, looking back at the camp. It was hidden by shrubs, appearing to not be there. She nodded to Wavetail as she padded away.

Once in the forest, the umbreon tasted the air. Houndoom! She thought in alarm. She bounded up a tree and stared Down.

Two of the large beasts walked just beneath her tree. Nightclaw froze and held her breath. They were headed straight for camp! Nightclaw leapt from tree to tree, landing roughly in camp. She pelted past a startled Wavetail and through the tunnel. She stopped in the middle of the camp.

"HOUNDOOM!!!" She shrieked, "HOUNDOOM ARE COMING!!!!!"
