Third timeline: In the store

Diego stood up again. Suddenly he felt a hand on his shoulder. Startled, Diego turned around.

It was a twenty-year-old boy with light blonde short hair. Olive green eyes and very bright skin.

Diego didn't know him. "Who are you?", Diego asked suspiciously. "That doesn't matter now!" said the boy. "It does very well! Are you a rogue too?" Diego fired at the boy. "No, I'm not. Now listen to me!", said the boy. "Why should I listen to you?" Diego interrupted the boy.

The boy didn't let himself be put off any longer. "Just get Lila to the hospital as quickly as possible! We'll take care of the rest here, but you get yourselves to safety!", the boy said frantically, pointing at thirty-year-old Lila.

Diego looked around and suddenly saw several versions of the boy trying to guide people safely out of the store. Some version of them were even fighting this Fei.

Then he looked at Lila, who was lying on the ground gasping, and her blood had already turned into a small larva. Diego then realized the seriousness of the situation. "Go on, run!", the boy said seriously.

Diego didn't hesitate any longer. He ran to Lila and picked her up bridal style and fled with her to the exit. But the evil version of Five suddenly appeared in front of them. "What's your hurry?" asked the rogue version of Five, grinning nastily. (Shit!) Diego thought to himself. (How were they supposed to get past him?)

Suddenly, black smoke appeared behind the evil version of Five. A girl with pitch black hair and red streaks jumped out and pounced on the villain version of Five. Her eyes were as black as new moons, and her skin was almost as white as a vampire's. That was kind of creepy.

Super villain Five was not prepared for this and was thrown to the ground. "Go! Run!" the girl shouted to Diego. Diego nodded gratefully and ran on. Out of the store. In search of a hospital.

In front of the store

Suddenly, a boy appeared next to Diego. His hair was golden blonde and cut short. His eyes also shone golden. His skin was also very pale.

"Who are you?", Diego asked the boy. "I'm Sam and Luna told me to help you find a hospital," Sam explained. "Who is Luna?" asked Diego. "My sister, who just cleared the way for you to escape." explained Sam. "That girl was your sister? She does look a bit creepy." said Diego.

"Yup, that was her and now come on, we don't have much time left. The most I can do with my power is buy a little more time, but that's all." Sam explained, somewhat pressed for time. "Okay, please help her!" Diego pleaded now.

Sam placed a hand on Lila's knife stab wound, and suddenly a bright shining light emanated from Sam's hand.

Diego was a little amazed, but became serious again. "Okay, where is there a hospital here now?" asked Diego. Sam grinned to himself. "Now watch this," was all Sam said. Before Diego could say anything else, Sam had touched Diego on the shoulder and disappeared in a flash of light. They were gone.

Back in the store

A version of Lila also appeared. She was actually thirty, but looked twenty. Like the rest of the hero squad. She pounced on the villain version of Allison. "Who are you?", Allison asked, unimpressed. "You liked knowing that, didn't you? I'll tell you. Your biggest nightmare." Lila teased. "I heard a rumor..." Allison began. "... That you can't breathe." Lila finished Allison's rumor.

Allison began to gasp and tried to catch her breath in horror and surprise. Lila didn't feel like watching any longer, so she made short work of it. She took a knife and slit the defenseless evil Allison's throat. The super villain version of Allison slumped lifelessly to the ground. One super villain down. Now for the next one.

Meanwhile, at Felix's. Felix had multiplied himself and created some illusions to confuse the super villains. He fought Fei with his copies. Fei was shooing crows at Felix the whole time. Felix had trouble dodging. One of his copies inconspicuously tried to catch one of the crows to exploit Fei's weak point. But it wasn't that easy.

After a while, one of Felix's copies did manage to catch one of Fei's crows. Fei screamed when she noticed it. But it was too late. Felix tormented the crow. Fei could no longer concentrate at all. "How dare you, you ... you ... you bird, tormentor!" Fei raged. "Seriously now. Is that all you've got?" Felix asked mockingly.

Fei was simply too unfocused. Felix took his chance and struck Fei. A knife flew around uncontrollably. It headed directly in Fei's and Felix's direction. All Felix'e jumped to the side and the knife cut Fei's neck. Eyes wide open, Fei fell lifeless to the ground. So, that was that. On to the next one.

At the same time

Luna had just been involved in a fight with the super villain version of Five. Only this version wasn't called Five or Aidan. Instead, this version was called Number Three.

Three teleported, but before Three knew it, Luna was already somewhere else. "How did you do that?" asked Three angrily. "You probably wanted to know. Didn't you?" Luna replied mockingly. "Well, wait. You..." began Three, but left the sentence hanging in the air. He dissolved instead and emerged behind Luna. At least that's what Three thought. He threw a punch and hit a wall instead. (Where did the girl go?) Three asked himself angrily in his mind.

Suddenly, Three was hit on the back of the head and staggered a little. "What did you want to say?" Luna teased and reappeared behind Three. "Wait, I'll get you yet," said Three angrily. "Are you sure about that?" asked Luna sweetly. Three ran towards Luna. Luna stood there completely relaxed with a telltale smile on her face.

Suddenly, clouds of shadows appeared and made their way towards Three. At first, he thought nothing of it, but when Three realized that he couldn't get through the shadow clouds, it became dark around him. (What happened here?) The fog became thicker and darker, so that Three could no longer see anything. ...

Flashback: 17 years ago ...

A corridor was bathed in reddish, flashing light. Five young teenagers were running up and down excitedly. "I can't find my mask! Has anyone seen it?", shouted a parallel version of Klaus. "Has anyone seen my instruments?", Melody asked through the hallway.

"It'll never work out like this if we don't leave for the mission on time." Cecilia sighed. Cecilia was already ready and waiting at the exit of the corridor. She had her arms crossed and a bored look on her face. "Cecilia, don't be like that. Nobody's perfect." said a boy called Felix to Cecilia.

Felix was a boy with light blonde short hair. Olive green eyes and very bright skin.

Cecilia sighed again and rolled her eyes in silence. Felix had to stifle a grin.

"I found a mask in the laundry," said a girl with blonde curls and hazel eyes. Her skin also had a light complexion. The girl's name was Sara. Klaus exhaled with relief.

Cecilia mentally searched the room for the instruments.

She finally found the instruments in the music room. They were probably being tuned. "The instruments are in the music room!", Cecilia called to her sister. "Thank you!" Melody called out to Cecilia with relief.

"So, you have everything?", asked Felix. When everyone came back with all their equipment this time, they all nodded, ready for action. "Let's go then!", Nora said enthusiastically after the six teenagers. The group set off on their mission.

In a hospital

Sam had teleported Diego and Lila with a light jump. Directly in front of the door of a hospital. Lila was lying on a hospital bed and being thoroughly examined. Diego waited nervously outside the door. He paced up and down restlessly. Sam had already left, as he felt he had to help the others. Diego was very worried. (What if Lila didn't make it?)

After what felt like an eternity, the doctor came out and went to Diego. "There's good news and bad news." the doctor began. "What's the situation?" asked Diego impatiently. "Your friend survived, but lost the child." the doctor spoke the bitter truth.

Diego had expected it, but he still didn't want to admit it. He and Lila had been so happy about the child. But it had died, still unborn. He wanted to go to Lila and comfort her, but apparently the doctor wasn't finished talking yet.

"There's another piece of news that you'll like even less." added the doctor hesitantly. "What else?" asked Diego anxiously. "Lila won't have long to live," said the doctor carefully. That had done it.

Diego's facial features slipped. "How much longer?" Diego asked, paralyzed. "We can't say exactly, but a few more days. I'm really very sorry for her." the doctor said sympathetically. Then the doctor left, leaving Diego alone.

Diego's world collapsed. He felt transported back. The situation was slightly different. But the end result was the same. He thought back to that. When Hazel and Cha-Cha had kidnapped Klaus and Detective, Eudora, Patch had ended up killing his last love. That had been painful for him. Diego had then sworn revenge. But Five had taught him otherwise.

But this time it was too much. Lila was injured by a super villain version of Diego himself. (How absurd did that sound, please?) Diego sank to the floor against the wall next to the door in despair. There must be something that could save Lila. (Just what?)

Diego tried to think. But he found this very difficult. This new information overwhelmed him. A nurse stepped out of the door and told Diego that he could come in for a moment, but that Lila was not yet responsive. Diego got up again and hesitantly entered the hospital room.

Lila was lying on the bed, bleached out and somehow broken. She was connected to many possible tubes, which were connected to several devices. (How could this have happened?) Diego asked himself in a mournful mood. He shook his head in disbelief.

Suddenly, a thought flashed through Diego's mind that made him pause. There was a sudden determination in his eyes. "I will avenge you and the baby. I promise you that." Diego whispered, looking in Lila's direction.

This time he would take revenge on his own evil. For his future, which had been destroyed. Diego gently stroked Lila's cheek, then walked out the door and left the hospital. He had a super villain version of himself to find and take down.

Back in the store in the meantime

Sam appeared in the glaring light. He had made a leap of light and jumped back into the store to help the others. Three was still surrounded by Luna's shadow clouds. At some point, Three simply teleported out of the shadow vortex and landed right in front of Sam. Three had not yet noticed that there was another opponent standing there.

Sam reacted immediately and launched a wave of light at Three, blinding him. "Take that!" triumphed Sam. "Honestly, you guys are such spoilsports." Three said, annoyed. "Next time, think about taking us on sooner." Luna triumphed behind Three. "Next time, it's your turn!" threatened Three.

Three teleported away and collected the rest of the remaining super villains. Markus, who had just fought Lila, was simply teleported away by Three with the other super villains.

"Well, I hope that's it for now," said Sam, hopefully. "Yup, we've shown them. Didn't we?" said Luna, triumphant but also a little exhausted. "Okay guys, now for the next part." said Sloane. "What's that?" asked Lila, a little confused. "Clean up!", everyone replied in chorus.

"Oh yes, that's right," said Lila. She had forgotten for a moment. The super villains had suddenly disappeared so quickly. "Here we go! Let's get to work!" said Felix enthusiastically. The team began to clean up the devastated store.
