In the mirror labyrinth. Outside of time and space

Laura landed with the Hargreeves siblings. Only while Laura landed elegantly on her feet. The Hargreeves siblings practically lay down on the floor. "Are we actually in a mirror now?" asked Luther incredulously, who spoke first. "Yes, we are," replied Laura, annoyed. "Oh my goodness! You really weren't exaggerating," said Klaus. "You don't say. Follow me." Laura said, annoyed. The Hargreeves siblings hesitantly set off and walked after Laura.

Laura wasn't exaggerating at all. It really was a labyrinth. The walls were white, but if you looked closely, you could see a shimmer in all the colors that refracted in the light. Just like the mirror surface earlier. No matter where you looked. Every path was like an egg to another.

"So, the plan is set?", Diego asked after a while. "So in a nutshell. We have to stop our other selves in the past from doing what changes our present. Or what we experienced with Sparrow Academy." Five summarized. "Right." confirmed Laura Soraya, crossing her arms behind her back.

After a few minutes of silence. "Where are we actually going?", Viktor asked curiously. "To the main headquarters of the Mirror Maze," Laura Soraya replied curtly. The Hargreeves siblings practically all had question marks over their heads. "There is such a thing?", Five asked incredulously. "Yes, there is. Just don't ask. You'll see when we get there." Laura Soraya added hastily.

After a while, the Umbrella's noticed something strange. Their reflections in the walls were not moving in sync. They seemed to have a life of their own as they waved at them. The Umbrella's gasped in shock. "Em, what's that?" asked Diego in disbelief, pointing at the mirror images that had come to life. "Your reflections," Laura replied expressionlessly. As if this was nothing new. It hadn't been new to Laura for a long time. It was part of her life.

"But why do the mirror images have a life of their own?" Viktor asked curiously. Laura looked at the Hargreeves siblings in annoyance. Suddenly, Five was struck by a realization. "Is that also part of your mirror power?" asked Five, scrutinizing. "Exactly. But since you don't have such powers, you can't stay here for too long," Laura said. "Why is that?" asked Diego. Laura hesitated. "The more similar your power is to mine, the longer you can hold out here," Laura replied. "What exactly do you mean by that?" Luther asked. "What do our mirror images have to do with it?" asked Klaus with interest.

Laura sighed. "Well, if your mirror images fade, then..." Laura broke off. She couldn't say it. "Then what?" Diego asked tensely. Laura stopped abruptly and looked into space. She had to swallow. Her facial expression changed drastically. It was as if she had been transported back in time. As if she had experienced it before. Laura breathed in and out deeply a few times. Then she gave herself a jolt. "You'll disappear yourselves," Laura replied in a trembling voice. The Hargreeves siblings all drew in their breath sharply. "Then we must hurry!", Five said energetically. "Okay. Come on, let's go." Laura said and ran off. The Hargreeves siblings didn't need to be told twice and hurried after Laura.

A few more corridors and walls later, Laura finally stopped in front of a door. Unlike the Hargreeves siblings, who had completely lost their bearings, Laura knew every single path and door by heart in her sleep. "Okay, we're here!" Laura announced solemnly. "At last! Because I really can't take anymore," panted Klaus, exhausted. Running just wasn't his thing.

The rest of the Hargreeves siblings were also panting. "How can you not be out of breath?" asked Luther. "Exercise your brain cells a bit! She probably does that almost every day!" Five peppered Luther, rolling his eyes. Laura just nodded at Five, but said nothing more on the subject.

Instead, Laura drew a quick and complicated combination in the air with her fingers in front of the door. When Laura had finished, a door handle appeared. Laura reached for the handle and pushed it down.

When she opened the door, the Hargreeves siblings all had to close their eyes immediately. There was a bright, glistening light emanating from the door.

When everyone entered, a huge hall stretched out before them. There were lots of screens that looked like laptops and PCs. But if you looked more closely, they were all mirror monitors. But what shocked the Umbrella siblings the most was the sight of so many people walking around the room. The whole room was full of Laura's.

"Um. Am I dreaming?" asked Klaus, rubbing his eyes. "No, you're not!", replied Five snippily, annoyed by Klaus' question. "Ouch!", Klaus exclaimed and winced. Klaus had pinched five. "What is this here?", Viktor asked in amazement. "This is the center. The control center. We monitor the different times from here. Neither the Commission nor the One Classics can come in here. No one can get in here without a Laura." Laura explained. "Where do all the Laura's actually come from?" asked Five. "These Laura's come from all the different parallel worlds," Laura Soraya replied to Five's question. "Wow." everyone was amazed.

"But be warned. Don't touch anything here and don't move away from me under any circumstances! Is that clear?" Laura warned Soraya. "What happens otherwise?" asked Luther. "You're dead," Laura replied, dangerously calm. "Where does the dark passage over there lead to?", Diego asked curiously. "You'd rather not know. I'm just saying, your death is waiting in there too." Laura Soraya replied, now annoyed.

The evil Laura's were waiting in the dark corridor. The evil Laura's didn't have anything good in mind. But Laura Soraya preferred to keep that a secret from the Umbrella siblings.

"Wait a minute, I need to discuss something with my other self." Laura apologized briefly. "And don't move!" Laura admonished afterwards. The Umbrella's just nodded. They really didn't want to die so close to the finish line. Laura was talking to some other Laura's and a heated discussion broke out. ...

The corridor next to it

(I wonder what was in the other corridor next to it?) Five thought curiously. "Guys, I'll be right back." Five announced and ran over to the corridor without waiting for an answer from his siblings. "Hey, Five wait! We're not allowed in there!" Luther shouted after Five. But in vain. Five didn't listen, he just kept walking.

Five took another breath and ran into the corridor that stood next to the dark corridor. It was getting darker and darker. Too bad he didn't have a flashlight with him. But then, after a while, it got a little bit brighter. (What was that?) Five asked himself curiously in his mind. He walked on cautiously and at the end of the corridor, Five saw a mirror shining in the darkness. Just as Laura Soraya had opened a mirror portal before. Suddenly, Five was pushed from behind and he fell through the mirror portal.

At the time-train station

"Ow, what happened? Where am I?" asked Five, rubbing the back of his head. Five looked around carefully. "We're at the time train station," replied a voice identical to Laura Soraya's. Five's head immediately turned to the person and surprise. It was Laura. But this Laura somehow looked a little different. This version wore different clothes to the Laura he had met. Two Evergreeves, it wasn't either. This version of Laura wore a name tag that read Laura.D.

"What are you doing here?", asked this version of Laura, who was supposedly called Laura.D, not exactly friendly. Five didn't answer directly, as he was a little too surprised and perplexed. "Em. What exactly do you mean? I don't understand right now. Do what where? ..." Five began to stammer. "Here! In the mirror maze!" said Laura.D. A little upset. Five blushed briefly. But he quickly regained his composure. "So here's the thing. Laura Soraya is helping me and my siblings to straighten everything out. At least that's how I understood it." Five tried to tell the truth.

"I see, so that's how it is. Didn't she tell you to stay with the group and stick to it and not move from the spot?" thundered Laura.D, unkindly. "Yes, she did!" replied Five. "Why didn't you stick to it?", asked Laura.D. "Em. Me. So. ..." Five broke off with a sigh. "You were too curious. Right?" Laura.D stated. "Yes, that's right," confirmed Five. "Actually, you shouldn't be here," said Laura.D, Perch. "I'm sorry. How was I supposed to know that, please?" Five mockingly apologized.

"What am I going to do with you now?", Laura.D whispered to herself. "Maybe take me back to my siblings?", Five asked hopefully. Laura.D, shook her head slowly. "No," Laura.D spoke her thought in a whisper. Suddenly she smiled creepily. "What's wrong?" asked Five worriedly. "You'll find out soon enough. Come on." Laura.D announced, with a mysterious grin. Five looked a little suspicious and unsure about Laura.D's behavior.

Before Five could react, Laura.D. grabbed Five by the hand and pulled him along to a timetable. "What's this?" asked Five unsuspectingly. "This is a timetable for the time trains." explained Laura.D. "Looks different from normal train timetables," remarked Five. "You got that right." confirmed Laura.D. "So, what now? What are you trying to tell or show me?" asked Five, a little confused. "Okay, pay attention now." said Laura.D, just.

She operated a few handles and levers. The next moment, a subway train approached. Five looked at Laura.D, clueless and confused. "Okay, what's going to happen now?", Five asked. "Here's what's going to happen now. ...", said Laura.D, mysteriously. "What are you going to ...?" Five couldn't finish his question. He turned around and before Five knew it, Laura.D shoved Five backwards.

Five fell through a mirror portal that suddenly appeared, which Laura.D may have created. Five fell out of another mirror portal that appeared between the train doors and landed on the floor inside the subway. Five quickly picked himself up again. But the mirror portal had already disappeared. The train doors also closed again quickly and did not open again.

"HEY! OPEN THE DOOR AGAIN! LET ME OUT!" shouted Five, banging frantically on the train doors. Laura.D's expression showed no emotion. Laura.D, looked at Five, unimpressed and with coldness. Suddenly, Five was gripped by fear, "WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?" Five shouted in panic.

She took another deep breath, then without hesitation, Laura.D flipped a lever and pressed a button. The time train gained momentum and Five began to freak out in a panic. "LET ME OUT OF HERE NOW!", shouted Five one last time. But it did him no good. At some point, he could no longer see Laura.D. Dejected, Five slid to the floor of the subway.

Laura.D, watched the time train for a while longer. When it was no longer visible, Laura.D turned around and left the subway station. She created a mirror portal and jumped back into the mirror world. Laura.D, strolled back along the path, chilling and whistling a tune.

In the mirror labyrinth. Outside of time and space

After a while, Laura Soraya returned to the Hargreeves siblings. She wanted to say something, but stopped. Someone was missing from the Umbrella siblings! "Where's Five?" asked Laura Soraya in alarm. Embarrassed, the Umbrella siblings looked down. "IS THIS EVEN YOUR FIRST?" Laura Soraya became louder. "I asked you where your Brother Five was!" Laura Soraya looked angrily at the Umbrella siblings. The Umbrella siblings looked at each other with a guilty conscience.

Viktor plucked up all his courage. "We don't know that exactly. Only that he disappeared into that corridor over there." Viktor replied, pointing in the direction of the forbidden corridor. "And you didn't stop him?", Laura asked Soraya mockingly. "I expressly told you not to! For your own protection!" Laura Soraya now shouted.

All the other Laura's paused and all looked at the intruders, who didn't really belong here. The Umbrellas were a little embarrassed now.

"But we wanted to stop him. We also called out to him. But five was just too fast." Luther tried to explain. "You really are so incompetent! You can't even take your eyes off each other for ten minutes!" Laura Soraya continued to get upset. "Sorry." stammered Diego, a little intimidated. "The apology is no good to me, and it's no good to you! The apology is no use to anyone! DO YOU EVEN KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS TO ME NOW?" Laura Soraya became louder again towards the end. "No," Klaus replied cluelessly. (This girl is very similar to Five right now.) (Five reacts exactly like that.) Klaus thought to himself.

Laura Soraya would have loved to beat the living daylights out of each of the Hargreeves siblings. She was infinitely angry. But if she remembered correctly, Five had a mind of his own, of course.

"I was chosen for this part of the mission to get you to your destination safely and unharmed. But if anything happens to any of you along the way, I will be held accountable. I WILL BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS!" she shouted the last sentence. ...

Laura Soraya had to take a few deep breaths to calm herself down. (Just keep calm) Laura said to herself in her mind. "Okay, you wait here and don't move! Do we understand each other?" Laura reminded Soraya sternly. The Hargreeves siblings simply nodded. "What are you going to do now?" asked Klaus. "I wonder what? Looking for five!" Laura Soraya mocked sarcastically and entered the corridor next to the dark hallway. ...
